Céline Dion is already preparing her next english Album!

While Celine Dion's brand new Album "Encore Un Soir" tops the French Album charts today, and is on its way to top the global Album chart this week, Celine says her new english speaking Album is already on its way! "

 

Her latest Single "Encore un soir", written by Jean-Jacques Goldman, topped the official French Pure Chart for 2 consecutive weeks, selling 43.000 copies in France since its release. Her latest French Album, also named 'Encore Un soir', a collaboration with Zaho, Florent Mothe, Grand Corps Malade, Francis Cabrel and Vianney is No.1 in France this week after selling an incredible 216.000 copies which is twice what "Sans attendre" sold in its first week in 2012!

 

The new english speaking album will follow "Loved Me Back to Life", which featured her incredible duet with NE-YO, written by Sia. In the new album, one of the songs, "Recovering', was written by P!nk and is about Celine's late husband René who passed away in January. Celine admits emotions were high in the studio that night.

 

Celine says its important to sing songs that move her and get the message across to her fans. The new Album is expected in 2017.

In my opinion the charts should be sales ONLY. I know the world has changed with streaming but if someone spends money on a song or album THAT is the ONLY way it should count towards a chart in my opinion. Look at the UK, she actually had the 56th best selling album of the week but charts officially at 88? What nonsense. Because her music isn't streamed or gains a lot of airplay?

 

It really annoys me! Charts should be about purchases and purchases ONLY!

I agree wholeheartedly. That doesn't make sense unless they start playing Celine again (and this will never happen )

People like to see the artist on TV, they want to see the singer singing the songs, so they have entusiam to buy the album. Celine needs to appear on TV in Quebec, so they will know that there is a new record to buy...If they dont see promoting, people wont know there is a new thing!

In Quebec people are used to see Celine in TV specials and everything, its different now.

I was also expecting over 100K in Canada.

 

Well, luckily after SNEP annunced on twitter their Albums Chart which includes streaming,

Celine is #1 in France with a total of 218,684:

208,069 physical sales

8,486 downloads

2,129 streaming

 

 

And by the way,

on the Overall Albums Chart in France (without streaming), SEVENTEEN of Celine's albums are charting!!!!

Aside from EUS, we know now of:

 

#7 Celine Dion - "Triple Best of" - 5.200 copies (up 82 places, +1066%);

#18 Celine Dion - "On ne change pas" - 2.400 copies (up 33 places, +117%);

#32 Celine Dion - "D'eux" - 1.500 copies (up 54 places, +215%)

I blame her team for it, LOOK AT HOW MANY TIMES they posted the links about the release of the album on her medias, NOT EVEN ON IG.....And people not even liked in the times they posted it on facebook. They should post it EVERYDAY since its release. I also blame them for posting ALL of the audios on youtube....spotify too

All we can do now is hope for strong legs, in the end that is a lot more important than a huge debut. (although the France debut was highly impressive in any situation)

Also in Canada, the majority of people speak English. Only in Quebec they speak majority in French, and 60,000 copies sold in Quebec, it's a huge succes! If we want 200,000 copies like France, it's impossible!

Im talking about TV special, singing the songs on TV, not only interviews, people need to know the songs, its very different from SA promo!
