tomier Posted September 9, 2016 at 02:33 PM Posted September 9, 2016 at 02:33 PM EUS sold already more than "D'elles" and more than 2x SA for the first 2 weeks. So my question is : what would it take for some people to believe she can reach SA sales at the end? If she goes to 40-50k in the next week and then 20-30k in the few weeks after that, as the holidays come up she will get a few boosts (like the pre-recorded things we already know about (we know about stuff don't we? lol)) She can boost a little, maybe 50k? Could be higher but could be lower. But lets say it's just a few weeks of somewhat higher numbers, and then after the holidays it dips to very small numbers, it does have a chance to come close or even match. And who knows, maybe another good single run and or a good show/promotion boost could boost it like SA got. If that happens it very well may pass SA by a little. Just a though/possibility. Quote
Boy Posted September 9, 2016 at 03:40 PM Posted September 9, 2016 at 03:40 PM It's only one position higher. Of course it's good since there is no promo at all. But when I see that at the top there is Polish "artist" that I have never heard of, like not even his name, I'm really really surprised. Due to excellent results in countries like Italy or Germany I counted at least for top 5. If only there was some promotion. This albums deserves it so much! The album deserves everything and more, of course, but believe me, you are lucky guys that the album gets at least this recognition, cuz I live in the neighbourhood country and many people here don't even know who Celine is, so #7 is pretty much of an achievement, people like her in Poland And who knows, maybe the best is yet to come, maybe there'll be some promo in the media or something. It's more than we could expect after 35 years...hello guys, the CD market is dead... she is like a survivor... Yeah, she's a survivor. Leo Posted September 10, 2016 at 02:14 AM Posted September 10, 2016 at 02:14 AM It's off-topic but still about charts. I found an article where it's mentioned that "D'eux" sold 57,000 copies in France on October 23, 1995. There was an interview broadcast on TV the night before. http://www.parler-de-sa-vie.net/ecrits/interviews/19960101.php In my opinion, Aldo should consider booking a tour of some French cities whenever she has some free time from Las Vegas. France embraced "Encore un soir" like no other country. They could also add Geneva, especially since it was left out of the tour in 2013 and 2016 despite having an arena to hold concerts. 2 Quote

Timster Posted September 10, 2016 at 01:01 PM Posted September 10, 2016 at 01:01 PM I think the drop in the UK is down to the fact that the small amount distributed on release day sold out, and they have not received any more copies yet. This is what they told me in HMV Oxford Street, London. 1 Quote

mirage Posted September 10, 2016 at 01:45 PM Posted September 10, 2016 at 01:45 PM Wow why is that?So lame. So in other words it could have sold more, but they don't want to ship extra? Same here, and Sony said they will not ship more copies. Quote
