I'm pretty hopeful she will just do the Vegas version as it's what she knows- I think she's comfortable singing the song anyway so I just pray pray it's live

I think they didn't record the Beethoven version because they're waiting to do an hologram with the honorable composer and premiere it in Las Vegas as an exclusive section for die-hard fans... Céline & Beethoven's duet!!! :D

 

Some artists release single and album out of nowhere (pretty much like Céline) and they go straight to top 10.

 

This release is just pointless : nobody cares about it, 90% of fans are disappointed, artistically it doesn't serve any purpose, vocally it goes quite nowhere, honestly, we don't know where it comes from.

BUT

Opportunely, it's on top.

 

I don't care about the commercial failure when quality is there but here, it's a full package failure. :-D

If you want art, follow her francophone career. If you want fluff and to pump up the Celine brand , follow her Anglophone career. I adore the former and the latter has also come up with some gems (however few or far between)

looks like we might get the studio version on Sunday, Lindsey Stirling has posted a video of her in rehearsals with Celine. Hope we still get the orchestra Vegas version.

If you want art, follow her francophone career. If you want fluff and to pump up the Celine brand , follow her Anglophone career. I adore the former and the latter has also come up with some gems (however few or far between)

 

We're on the same wavelength on that one.

(And I so wish more of the general public who spend so much time hating on Celine realized this).

The negativity of Celine fans to Celine herself is probably the most disrespectful among any artists apparent "fans." Build a bridge, get over it and be happy for her and let her do what she wants and support her instead of NEVER. EVER. BEING. HAPPY. NO. MATTER. WHAT. SHE. DOES.

 

After this year and what she has been through, she deserves more for her fans that constant complaining and so many of you acting like two years olds who just were told they couldn't have ice cream for breakfast.

Just bought the song on iTunes sounds much better!! it's currently at 71 on the Irish iTunes chart!!!

 

Only negative things I have to say they haven't advertised it anywhere on iTunes.

Hear me out...I would die happy if this happened...

 

So, instead of the bombastic intro that we have in Vegas, use the melancholic opening from the single and sing the first verse...then THE SHOW MUST GO ON VEGAS VERSION! Lindsey does the solo that the electric guitar usually has and we call it a night. Aldo, you reading this?!

you have to search more when in english, but she has great things also....but the fans know her more just for the fluff in english.

Nailed it! Amen to that! Stop whining, it won't get you anywhere. That's the last thing Celine needs from her fans. It's not as if what she gave us was the crappiest thing you've heard in all your existence. Cut her some slack. So much negativity and complaining.

Also hear me out on this guys. I have a theory of why I think they didn't record the Vegas version of TSMGO. The opening lines from Beetoven are heavily copyright and they would probably have to pay good money to use it in her STUDIO version, but get away with playing it live. I think that's a strong possibility.

Um, no they're not. They're very much in the public domain and have been for a very long time.

Music copyright is life of author + 70 years... and it's been waaay longer than that for Ludwig van!

Beethoven is long gone, no copyright on his music...an interpretation by an artist can possess copyright, a pianist or orchestra playing a symphonie...

Firstly, have you ever been to ATRL or some other fan forums? Did you ever read reactions from the Beyhive or the Navy (Beyoncé's and Rihanna's fandoms). We here are all able to communicate in an appropriate manner and express our opinions. This cannot be said about other forums or fandoms.

 

Secondly, I feel being supportive does not mean I can't be critical of what my Idol puts out.
