Trouble is Freddie is iconic. He's also gone - therefore remains on his pedestal.

Very few women can sing a Queen anthemic song like this one without butchering it. They've either got too timid a voice to do it justice or they scream and shout (like Jessie B did). Which is why the majority of Queen fans applaud Celine's performance, especially with her personal connection to the song. Whether they like her or not is irrelevant. There's always a minority. Those fans can do one.

Blah. Blah. Blah. Lady shut up. He handed her the award and was going to leave her side and wait in the wings while she gave her speech (like every other presenter). Instead she asked him to stay by her side.

i think that she was just being polite, she could not say: You , Stay there....so she asked him. That's how we do things in Canada... :giggle:

The comments on Queen's facebook are pretty bad lol.

Brian appeared to like it. That's all that counts! If Arianna Grande would sing MHWGO on an award show, she'll also be butchered...... by us! ;) :P

Exactly. She couldn't just say "Rene Charles stay here", and if she said nothing he would surely walk off to wait in the wings.

They're not deaf they know it was a bad performance but they are her fans, we'd still support Celine if she was bad last night but good thing we don't have to worry cause she was brilliant!
