Yeah I posted something in the Antwerp thread. That's the way I take it, makes me a bit disappointed and sad. It was bold if him to admit that.

 

Still think Celine has forgotten a lot of her english gems! Maybe she'll remember them. I honestly believe she'd enjoy her English songs more. But as she's been constantly singing the same english ones for decades , I'd be a bit like that too. Hopefully they'll be an english tour equivalent to this one next year and she'll realise this. That will be the time for more risks rather than the Vegas shows. Although obviously she can throw in the odd "chance" in lv 😁

Yes I agree. His confession (Scott's) was like, wow! it just hit me. She has been stuck in a black hole for so long. I can't understand why she couldn't be more adventurous with the English material but now I guess I know.

Maybe we should start a new topic for tour ideas and one for vegas ideas? Would be better and easier to keep them separate. They are very different shows and concepts. But if we do, please can people be positive and constructive. Not slagging things they don't like off etc. Keep it positive and upbeat and realistic. Would stand more of a chance.

Hey guys! I just came back from Antwerp and had the privilege of staying at the same hotel as Celine's entire crew (musicians, technicians and Véronique) and had the chance of meeting most of them in person.

 

These are the SURPRISING things that Scott Price (musical director) told me when I approached him to say congratulations for such an amazing concert:

 

 

· All the songs from the Summer tour were picked by Céline herself.

 

· The orchestra has been rehearsing the song 'Breakaway' for the Vegas show. (He didn't tell me exactly when and if it's actually gonna make it to the show).

 

· Most of the musicians would love to play 'Didn't Know Love' at the show.

 

· When I asked him about why Celine keeps singing mostly covers in English, he told me it's her own decision. They keep insisting her to add some of her more obscure English material to the shows, but she doesn't seem to be very interested on doing that at the moment.

 

· And here comes the big thing: If you have any suggestions (songs you'd love Celine to sing live for example), PLEASE post your requests on Celine's official forum. They read it and love to get feedback from the fans.

The rumor has been 2019 for a while. But, I do not think anything was ever confirmed in the press. So, I am not sure any of us know for certain.

Okay because in August 2014 I spoke to someone from AEG and she said she was only under contract until 2017. So I guess nothing has changed

That wouldn't be bad...least then she can tour normally for the English album. But then I'm guessing a dvd would have to be filmed next year...and so far everyone we've asked has said there are no plans at the moment so makes me a bit worried if the 2017 date is true...

I have not finalized my list, but for now, I am considering requesting the following 5 songs in English (5 is her lucky number, after all) in a letter to both Scott and Aldo for Celine to perform in Vegas, or next year's English tour:

Can anyone actually find out about the contract thing? Now I'm curious...I remember when Rene died a bunch of the articles that came out said she was under contract till 2019...now was this an official statement from Celine's team to them or are they just assuming based on the rumours... I'll see if I can find the article...

Idk but maybe 'miles to go (before i sleep)' could fit the concert.. id LOVE to say US, but this can be so hard on the voice, well, id love as well.. less LCMM , IACBTMN, TPOL, ( kinda impossible coz its hits ) ok, less where does my heart beats now and i drove all night intro. ( i personally dont like incredible on the concert )

i know she needs to protect her voice, but the selfies needs to be back lol its just so good to watch and i think she has fun with it and feels the love, its not only about a photo sometimes, there's people that go and just say looking to her, celine we,re here for you, we love you..

who would not feel good listening or seeing it?

The 3 consecutive songs on LTAL are my favorite English songs from her! Where Is The Love, Mile To Go (Before I Sleep), and Us. There's just something extra special about them to me. Like not trying so hard, not the typical ballad and they each have a mood and maturity about them.

"Unison" is one of my favorite Celine songs. However, the song has been performed numerous times in the past. I wanted to pick songs which had either never been performed, or had only been performed sparingly throughout her career.
