Never felt like such an idiot and still to this day that is a close call that would've made me so upset if I missed the show omg I don't even want to think anymore lol 8 Quote

Maybe it would be fewer dates so she can spend more time with her family? Vegas does let her perform and be with her children which is her first priority. I wouldn't be surprised if she renewed her contract because it works so well with her life. Even if she renewed Vegas and did fewer shows, she could still go to Quebec more often. I would be more surprised if she quit Vegas and did a world tour since she has been upfront about how hard that would be on her and her children. I think someone posted this before, but Vegas is like her home too. RC has friends and a life there. It would be hard to have them all walk away from it suddenly, given the loss of Rene so recently. Maybe in time she will leave Vegas, but I can't see that happening right away. But, then again, who knows! Only time will tell! I wouldn't be disappointed either way. She has to do what works best for her and her family and only she can determine what is best. Edited August 28, 2016 at 02:20 PM by NicoNV 4 Quote

NicoNV Posted August 28, 2016 at 04:54 PM Posted August 28, 2016 at 04:54 PM (edited) I read the article myself (and a google translate is below). It just sounds like she is really healthy outlook. It seems she is just looking at it in a way to maintain a balance in her life. Meaning, it sounds like Vegas being part of her life is what she wants, and she also wants to perform outside of Vegas from time to time. From the outside at least, that makes sense for both personal and professional reasons. In terms of the show not changing until 2019, I do not quite get that from the article. I take it to mean the style of show will be the same until the end of this contract, but that doesn't mean the songs or costumes wouldn't change or that there wouldn't be some slight changes here and there (because she says it will continue to grow). But, once this contract is renewed she will do a totally new show (just like A New Day vs Celine). But, instead of yet another Vegas vs. Not Vegas argument, here is the article below (google translate only. I do not have time to look things up in a dictionary to clean it up at all). Q = question; R or A = Response or Answer. Q During your first concert at Videotron Centre, you said that Quebec had "the gift to print strong images in [your] heart". What memories will you bring those five concerts? R Many things, but it sure is the welcome of the people. Earlier, people were clapping because they want to be in the show or hear their favorite songs no matter; but this time I felt like they were applauding my life: chess, stages, loss, René who went, me raising my children. In their eyes and their applause, I felt they were asking questions and they wanted to hear: "Celine, we are with you, are you OK?" That's how I perceived. And that is beyond a song. I criticize a lot in my life because I told all the details of what I was, but I think it helped me and it was positive for me, because when I performed songs now people listen in a different way. [...] As I am an open book and they know my life, I do not have to explain myself. I could be wrong, I know they will help me. Q In this new show, you played a great success, but also less known pieces, including album 1 fille & 4 types. You wanted to offer something different? A Yes, I tried to convince my team to sing songs that were not necessarily tubes, hits, because this show there, it was not trying to sell something. In general, when on TV or we released an album, we want to try to sell a product. I suggested songs that were not necessarily the best because I wanted and that was the emotion in which I found myself, this is a time, it's not a show. [...] My goal was not to play songs that nobody knew it was my mood. If my state of mind is not on the stage, I'm already disconnected from myself. And it was not that, my goal; My goal was to come home and be connected with my true emotions of the moment. Q On your new album, Another night, there is a very personal cover of Ordinary, with references to your family. It was important to you and appropriate? A It is not I who dictated to Mouffe and Robert Charlebois I wanted to mention my family. When René lived health problems and treatments in Boston, I come from Quebec discs - I had not brought my repertoire of Quebec singers and it tempted me to listen to singers from home. I received several albums and I came across an album of Robert Charlebois, and when I heard Ordinary, I stopped immediately and I told René: "It is imperative that I make the song Ordinary . "He said," I know it's a monument, "I said." Yes, but I really want to sing "that's where he told me." but Celine, when you can not even have a beer with the big stone and start smoking pot, "I said," Yeah, but is that we can change the words "He said:" It ' is a long shot, I'm not sure. "So I made a request with Aldo [Giampaolo, his manager] that we join these people. We asked Robert Charlebois and Mouffe see if Mouffe could feminize the song, put it in my image, too. There are not many things changed, maybe eight words; the monument is there, but I can drink "with my mother, my sisters, my brothers" instead of the big stone. Q This mini tour in Quebec triumphal paces. But is it you happen to leave the scene and not be satisfied? A No, because I have no expectations. And when you have no expectations, you can not be disappointed. I give 100% every time. I am not always in great shape, sometimes I'm 60% voice capacity, but the energy, it must be there 100%. [...] I abused a little in this tour: Normally, I do a show than an hour and a half, one forty, max. Sometimes I tell myself: "! Celine, the show lasted 2:30 in the evening," I'm almost monologues, I went Yvon Deschamps feminine, but I enjoy myself because I know I can tell things to the public . Q René Angélil has told one of the highlights in your career was here in Quebec, when you managed to sing during the international convention bringing together the makers of Sony Music. How did you live now? A It is not in my nature to look back. René was champion: because the numbers, times, whatever came, he knew by heart. I started when I was singing in shopping centers, that was it, my concerts; I was not at Videotron Pantoute Centre and I had not done video! I have memories, it sounds maybe a little cheesy, but my husband could not miss seeing the Scopitones and eating guédilles and meatloaf. It was part of "we will go to Quebec." The people here are extremely friendly. There still was a lot of emotion that happened here. Q We had the habit of going to Las Vegas. This summer, it was you who decided to come out in Belgium, France and Quebec. Is this is a formula that you plan again? A I do not feel like going away! Vegas gives me an incredible opportunity to be stable with my family and to offer a show that is still masterful. This is a show that will continue to grow. If it renews the contract in the coming years, it will be a total change. I do not know what it will be yet, but it will be completely another show. But for sure no one must twist my arm to return to my country! The song of P! Nk previously recorded Among the next projects Celine Dion? A new English album. This has begun to take shape, since a piece was engraved: "I went into the studio one night that emotion was very close to that song that had been offered to me a few months ago, says Celine. The singer P! Nk, I admire greatly, gave me a song called Recovering, and I have already registered. So it started well. You just keep that going, and the important thing is that I sing songs that motivate me, that impress me, carrying me, that make me vibrate, which can get the message and go up people.†Prince songs Among the various occasions offered by Celine Dion, there is one that has taken special meaning this year with the death of Prince: Purple Rain. This is exactly a year since the diva has incorporated this song to her repertoire. "Prince came to see my show a few times in Las Vegas, Céline recounts. I knew I had a chance to meet him personally. It was an honor that he came to see my show. It was a shock to everyone, he left, but he was already with me on stage, so when I heard the news, it's been like the rest of the world: I was very sorry to this great artistic loss. That's why I continue to do it, finally. “ Special request It is no coincidence that, in its resumption of Ordinary Celine Dion sings "I do not care a lot of criticism, when I sing, it's for the public": the singer never loses sight of his admirers . Thus, at the end of our interview, she had a special wish: "I hope you finish your article by saying that I want to thank all the people of Quebec for their welcome. It's been amazing. I know we had something special together, but it's been five important shows for me emotionally. And I'm leaving once again full of love and emotion. "It is done! It is not a case of money and you can have your stability in Canada as well! So you want to do your shows for uninspired crowds every night? I thought this minitour showed her why she loves to perform and do shows for people that really appreciate all what she does, who do not see her as one of Vegas highlights that you must see, forcing her to sing those fanfavorites again.. Ah well, I guess this is how it is.I hope at least some dvd of the show will be released at the end of this year or later. If so, the QC shows this summer are the equivalent of 56 Vegas shows in terms of audience size. But agreed, that's not sustainable. QC doesn't have nearly the tourist traffic that would make this work. I think the only other place where she could conceivably do a residency and still put the kids to sleep in their own beds every night would possibly be NYC. Because I seriously fear that once she gives Vegas up, she gives up music altogether. I don't think so, I think going on tour Céline realizes that the audience is SO much different than Vegas. I wouldn't mind if she stays in Vegas, but not more than 25 shows or something. Like Mariah and Stuart are doing. This gives her more time to do mini tours, like a few dates in Europe and North America, than some dates in Asia, than Australia and New Zealand, then South America... etc etc! Just tour the world but in a slow pace. And of course have more time do projects she likes, a tv show here and there etc. I fear that 70+ shows in Vegas will still hold her back. 6 Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th

celine4evauk Posted August 29, 2016 at 06:14 PM Posted August 29, 2016 at 06:14 PM It's hard to think of which direction they could go in next for vegas. Big ott production ✔Big orchestra etc ✔My idea would be for a more stripped down acoustic show. Or a show in 2 halves - first half acoustic which can include stripped down versions of the "hits", and the second half more concert vibe. The interlude could be a video showing her career etc, would showcase the worldwide hits/albums/performances/album awards etc she's had, would include songs that's not performed during the show. 5-10 mins long, and would build the concert feel in the theatre for when she comes back on stage.Best of both worlds. First half would breathe new life into the usual songs that Joe Public want her to sing, and second half she can have fun, let loose, and perform whatever songs she wants from any of her albums.Well, I'd be happy with that kind of show anyway! 😂 1 Quote
