Maybe She was talking about the possible renewal contract until 2019 so maybe after 2019 she will go on world tour ... anyway if she will stay longer hope there will be space for concerts outside Vegas.

I´m surprised if she stays longer than 2019 in Vegas, she doenst like there (vide what shes saying about Vegas in her concerts in Quebec) and I believe she wants to do more mini tours like shes doing now. If she renew the contract there, maybe she will sing less shows a year to sing in other places/countries. It would be better for her and her career, stay in Vegas for a confortable life and sing everywhere for have fun!

Well I'm not sure she ever said she doesn't like it in Vegas during these shows. She was clearly implying that she was ready to come home though.

I personally award thought Vegas was perfect for Rene more so ..... I still do...

 

I love what she has done there but now it's time for change... She is a world artist... Everyone on the planet knows who she is and wants her in their country!

What I never understand is for all the Vegas bashing people do, they ignore that she chooses to stay there, and they ignore all the positive things it has done and continues to do for her. If some fans are ready for her to move on, maybe she isn't. And why should she be?

 

She talks about all the positives in her life because of Vegas--both personally and professionally. Then people say things like "well she hates it" or "I can tell she wants to leave immediately." Really? Because she talked about loving Quebec? The two are not mutually exclusive. She has chosen to stay in Vegas for a list of reasons. That doesn't mean she doesn't love Quebec. That is her origins. Her family is there.

 

Vegas doesn't prevent mini-tours. Aldo had said (several months ago) a world tour doesn't work for her and the kids, Celine said in her recent press conference she isn't going to bring her kids to a room one night and tell them "hey tomorrow we are in Tokyo."

 

She toured so much of her life away. She found a place that let's her perform, earn money, and have a family. Most people would be happy for someone in that situation and appreciative of the fact a person whose music they like is still active and performing regularly.

 

But, hey, who knows what tomorrow brings.

 

Let's wait and see what happens before there is a rush to judgment about her plans. Honestly, is anyone losing sleep at night over her choice to perform in Vegas? I bet she has thought through her choice more than anyone who posts here.

That's just an interview. She was saying that but tomorrow she will saying another thing. All the time in Paris and Quebec she said that love her fans here blabla.. That she wanted to stay forever. But now she is saying that she wants to get back to Vegas maybe because of the kids and because she is tired and wants to get home. When you travelled a long time, the last days you just want to get home. If home would have been Quebec, she could possibly say the same thing in Paris.

She just said that, the contract in Vegas isn't even done.

RC begins to go to school when he was 9-10. When she will finish in 2019 the residency the twins will be like 9 and RC 18.

She can go back to Montreal near to her family with the twins and RC could possibly stay in Vegas because he has friends here. And he will be an adult.

I think Rene only put in a basic structure for a few years to guide her.... She has said many times recently she has no intentions to stop singing... I fact I'm sure she said she will sing to the end of her life...

Hence why I said not retire completely, she may well do smaller stuff here and there. And of course if she is in Vegas until 2019 she has to promote and be enthusiastic about her career. But I think we have to be realistic in what we expect. We know from past examples that often she has not wanted to carry on and he encouraged her to do so. Without him around I'm not sure she will have the same level of motivation.

 

She is riding a bit of a wave at the moment and doing a lot of this for him, but eventually will have to come down and what he wanted her to do will be finished. Even the quote that has been used a lot this year talks about how he would be devastated if her career went 'unfinished', suggesting that maybe they know how it might end. I know that that was first written in what 2000? But clearly it still applies. Also Aldo being a slightly older guy himself, does not seem like a 20 year plan to me. More of a temporary caretaker. Anyway, we'll see...

New dates for her Spring block of shows should be announced soon, right? Im planning on going back to Vegas next May or June. I also just checked my email and the announcement for that block of shows for this year was October 26th. Celine fans have been predicting celine will end her career since 1999..... 17 years later she is still going strong ... I believe her when she says she will sing for her whole life.... It's always been her dream..
