Long story short Barnev has gots to go! Like Terry Bradford was rough as soloist, his voice literally made me cringe and fast forward any of his parts but with Elise and the other chick he was way better than Barnev. Those 3 during the Destin, and Falling Into You tour were phenomenal.

I have never had a huge opinion on the backup singers. They serve the purpose they're there for and they do well enough to where I'm not bothered. I'm more focused on celine and if she is happy with who she is working with that is mostly what matters. After all, if she wasn't then they would have gotten the boot when nearly everyone else did. Not to imply those who got the boot were due to celine not liking them, I mean obviously not... Ive just never understood the strong dislike for barnev.

When i say that barnev should go, thats because i am tired with his singing with Celine for duet... Not for backing up Celine...

Barnev isn't going anywhere which is fine. The crowds actually give him quite a cheer when he walks out. I think they know of him more so than Elise or Dawn. Besides he is becoming Celine's straight man for the interludes! :-D

You don't have to hide the musicians, the screen is so huge that it's easily visible, they just don't use it. Also, what I liked during AND was that they used it to show Celine more to those who sat far from the stage... Now I think they use it for this purpose only at the beginning of the show or it was even cut permanently

in AND seems like the stage goes through the audience, so beautiful

I have to say, I liked the stage better before. Yes it's more small and intimate now, but the stage looked more spectacular before when it was larger. More room for Celine to run around and play with the songs. Now when looking at the before and after pics, the stage kind of looks underwhelming in comparison in my personal opinion.

I never realized that the stage had changed that much over the years.

But it's great to have a big stage than now. It feels like it's so limited. She can't walk freely like she usually does in AND stage before. Before, i thought that the legs of celine are toned or have muscles because of that raked stage haha. Kinda missed when celine do this dramatic moves. Remember her mhwgo in 2007 the way she walks (she's like a princess) the way she moves her flirty hands and the way she sings before she's more relaxed even when she lipped. Now, it's like 2003-2004 again (she exaggerate when she's lipping). I noticed that in billboards performance. Well, at least it gained positive reviews and it's amazing.

I agree. AND's stage was better. It was bigger so there was more space in general. Now it's quite cramped. Bigger stage give much more opportunities. AND's stage made the audience "part" of the show something in a sense that it looked closer. Now when Celine sings she stands more or less in 3 places on stage and that's all. The only part she has some fun with moving is unfortunately LCMM/RDMH medley and Prince medley

When Celine ended her run with "A New Day...," Bette Midler was gearing up to start her show at Caesars Palace. When she asked Celine if she had any tips or recommendations, one of the first things she said was to have the "raked" (angled) portion of the stage removed. So, Caesars removed a significant portion of the stage to level things out. By doing so, they not only made the stage easier to perform on, but also added more seating. More seating = more revenue. It was a win for all.

Well, I understand why they changed the stage and removed the angle. BUT removing the angle didn't have to mean making smaller the whole stage. I think they should have left the original size especially because not only have they brought the whole band but an extened orchestra on stage so the stage is smaller in size and also there are more people on it permanently.

I have the most recent change. The stairs in the center part of the stage made the stage "more available", closer, it was like the seats part was smoothly flowing onto the stage. Now it's cut abruptly. And Celine has only side stairs to use... Thus she uses this part of the stage much less. Also, don't tell me it's because they wanted people to stand during songs. If anybody wanted, he could stand in the past too. It doesn't change anything actually. I miss the stairs.

Well there are SOME full shots, but not enough IMO. Or an option you can see it in full. It's a shame they edited AND like a concert, while it should have been treated like a show/play. The focus is too much on Celine. Now I know that might sound weird from a fan

Each time I watch it, it makes me feel a bit indifferent, cos the dvd didn't capture the experience you had seeing the show in Vegas, maybe it's just me...

I agree. It didn't capture the whole thing and certain important details. Also showing audience while it was dark in reality just destroys the whole effect.

Judging by Celine's enthusiasm with I'm Alive in the medley section, the song is asking out loud to be performed in full in its original version again in the show!

True. You can clearly see her tourish attitude here. But I would go even further, I think she is very enthusiastic about all three songs. You can clearly see how much fun she is having with them and how she plays with them while singing. This just proves that she can have more fun with her own songs and make a concert/show alive with them. I don't see the same enthusiasm while she performs covers...

Still think the Elise and Dawn should get their chance to shine also.

Totally agree! Especially Elise did such a great job with Je crois toi outro :blush: I don't understand why they focus on Barnev always.

No, I didn't record this video. I contacted several people who uploaded the videos from that day, they gave me a permission to use their vids and I merged everything together No, I dindn't apload the audio either.

I could not have imagined how Céline changed the face of Vegas.... I hope they are going to celebrate the way it deservers her 1000th show !

In an other hand, I hope they are going to do some changes in her show and with more spectacular visuals.

After Céline : Elton John, Cher, Bette Midler, Prince, Britney, Mariah, J-LO... she is not the one and only girl in the town now.

I have no fear of that. She's an institution there. Celine & Cirque. That's why you go to Vegas if you're into entertainment rather than gambling. Everything else is just fluff.

It's really amazing all of the phases of René's career... From Les Baronets, to Ginette Reno, to Céline, and to his vision that reinvented Las Vegas entertainment - it's incredible the impact he had and his legacy.

This may be a silly question but....ok so this weekend my parents went to Vegas for their wedding anniversary. While there I made them go into Caesars Palace and go to Celine's boutique. They told me there was barely anything Celine. They described it to me as Celine had a quarter of the store, Elton had another quarter of the store and Mariah had half of the store So I'm wondering does this normally happen? I've seen pics of boutique when Celine is performing and there was tons of stuff. I showed my mom those same pics (after the boutique had been split into 3) and she said it was nothing like that. Do they just switch it up depending on who it is that night? Unfortunately she didn't take any pics inside the store.

Also I'm gonna sound like a broken record but ever since ABM pro from Feb 23rd was shown on tv I can't help but wonder if that filming came from the standard cameras or the special camera they had set up for the broadcast. Can't help but wonder if the whole show ended up being filmed.

I may be crazy... But I kinda think Sleep Tight would be perfect right now in place of TFTEISYF. I could be nuts but the lyrics seem so appropriate to me for this time in her life. Does anyone else get it? I hope so.

Meh... I think the kids are all too old for that song at this point. If I were to pick a song from Miracle for the show, I'd choose "In Some Small Way."

Hey guys! I just came back from Antwerp and had the privilege of staying at the same hotel as Celine's entire crew (musicians, technicians and Véronique) and had the chance of meeting most of them in person.

These are the SURPRISING things that Scott Price (musical director) told me when I approached him to say congratulations for such an amazing concert:

· All the songs from the Summer tour were picked by Céline herself.

· The orchestra has been rehearsing the song 'Breakaway' for the Vegas show. (He didn't tell me exactly when and if it's actually gonna make it to the show).

· Most of the musicians would love to play 'Didn't Know Love' at the show.

· When I asked him about why Celine keeps singing mostly covers in English, he told me it's her own decision. They keep insisting her to add some of her more obscure English material to the shows, but she doesn't seem to be very interested on doing that at the moment.

· And here comes the big thing: If you have any suggestions (songs you'd love Celine to sing live for example), PLEASE post your requests on Celine's official forum. They read it and love to get feedback from the fans.

we need full versions of such big hits like ANDHC/TTWII/IA

bring (back) FIY/TT/NBBMH/TYLAM/SLS/A

I'm not asking for very random songs but it would be nice to have something totally rare too.
