CelineDionForeverNY Posted March 27, 2016 at 03:33 PM Posted March 27, 2016 at 03:33 PM I absolutely adore the orchestra in the show. It adds another layer of elegance to her songs and it cements the definition of classy in Celine's career. As an aspiring musician, it was great to see and listen to the whole thing twice in-person. 3 Quote http://i.imgur.com/dQ1vYVz.jpgMais qui peut dire, qu’il peut vivre sans amour, qui?

Kristinaz Posted March 27, 2016 at 06:57 PM Posted March 27, 2016 at 06:57 PM I had goosebumps when I first saw AND live, when the glass shattered and she was walking down the stairs as well. The current show is about voice and I love that but in terms of stage and production the current show can't even compare. Even songs that were cut before they made DVD were so brilliantly done. The staging for "Fever" was amazing! The staging for " What a Wonderful World" was amazing seeing how everyone in the audience face was shown on the screen, in black & white, but it had a sparkle in the screen it was SO beautiful live. "I'm alive" staging was GEORGOUS in person I can't even describe how beautiful it was with all the vibrant colors on the screen . " I surrender" looked like the fire was real on stage. I could go on but I won't lol. Whether people liked "AND" or not I ADORED it, it really was beautifully done and magical. This new show is good but it lacks production for a Vegas show, I know Celine doesn't NEED it because her voice IS the show, but why not have it if you can. I really feel the orchestra is taking away from that amazing LED screen. Now I'm gonna sound real dumb but a) i wasn't a hardcore Celine fan during AND and I didn't go see AND live but doesn't the glass shatter during the opening on the dvd and we see (what I always thought) was some woman(was it actually Celine??) walking down the stairs and then suddenly at the end of the stairs you see Celine appear. Or was it different during the original AND Quote
Shamrock_1982 Posted March 27, 2016 at 07:13 PM Posted March 27, 2016 at 07:13 PM I think, correct me if I'm wrong but over the years the filmed Celine walk down the stairs twice, to be used in the screen, and then as we know Celine herself entered the stage through a door in the screen. 1 Quote

Or was it different during the original AND Yes the women is Cèline walking down the stairs slowly walking to the stage and then the spot light hit her in the very back of the stage. But yes, it was actually Cèline on the screen, but as I said the production was sooooo good that the screen looked VERY real through out the entire show in A New Day. It didn't look like a background but rather it looked like with every song, we went to a different world because it was done that well. 1 Quote

With every song it felt like we went to a different world but it wasn't transmitted that way on the DVD. The production of the DVD was too choppy, it drove me nuts because it was shot over 2 days and Celine's hair and makeup was slightly different on both of them nights, and they didn't seem to care. 1 Quote

Not two days. What I also found annoying is that they didn't feel the need to record the lipped songs live. She could have sang TPOL two days live and then Mhwgo two days live... 1 Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th

It looked so good in the theatre. But like a few have said, they didn't focus that much on the screen on the dvd. I can understand why, but there could have been an interactive feature or something on the dvd. 3 Quote

Another great thing about AND was the seating. You got a totally different perspective of the show if you sat near the front as opposed to siiting in the 1st Mezz. You saw more of the entire show sitting in 1st Mezz, it was really a masterpiece. I really think that if the current show was done first that it wouldn't have been so successful in Vegas. They needed something new & big for the venue and Vegas in general, her 2nd Vegas show doesn't have all that. I love it much more now since it was revamped in August then I did opening week in 2011. Now I really want to go back and see it, which is why I went back in january and will probably go again this year in May or June. 2 Quote ~J O E Y~

It's really nice to know that Celine is taking advantage of this down time and relaxing with her children while she's off from the Vegas shows. I hope people didn't bother them to much and that they were able to have a private, relaxing mother and son dinner together because they don't get to do things like this often. Quote

I just meant that Celine is a busy woman and a high profile celebrity. When you are famous I would assume moments like that, where you can have time to do normal everyday things in public without being bothered and having people taking your picture would be rare. I didn't mean that Celine doesn't get out and have fun with her kids. I just meant that there probably aren't many moments when they have complete privacy. Quote
scielle Posted March 30, 2016 at 01:37 AM Posted March 30, 2016 at 01:37 AM (edited) This woman annoys the hell out of me... Talk about milking it at any chance she can to talk about Celine. It's not normal how she's trying to be like Celine... Hair, makeup and clothes, she even hires Annie for certain shoots and appearances. She gives me the creeps!!!! Seems we're not alone in noticing this - http://showbizz.net/...i-sur-facebook/ "Beaucoup de gens ont mentionné qu’elle se transformait progressivement en sa grande amie Céline Dion." chocolatechip15 Posted March 30, 2016 at 02:13 AM Posted March 30, 2016 at 02:13 AM Odd, I don't really see Julie as milking it to talk about Celine. On the contrary, I actually think it must sometimes be annoying for her, that people constantly ask her about Celine, when she might want to be talking about her own projects in an interview. (When she posted about the Christmas card she'd gotten from them in 2014 -- the "Life doesn't have to be perfect to be marvelous" one -- she said something like, "Not a day goes by without my being asked about news of Celine.") If I recall correctly, she was interviewed a few times about Rene's death, and she was nothing but respectful - and often quite emotional -- not milking it any way for self-promotion. She lost a colleague and a friend, too. She worked with them for over 20 years. She can be a little manic and crazy sometimes, but mostly I like Julie. 3 Quote
Angel2006 Posted March 30, 2016 at 08:04 AM Posted March 30, 2016 at 08:04 AM (edited) I agree. Julie is Celine's friend of many years and people know this. People ask Julie questions about Celine because they know Julie has a long standing relationship with Celine. Naturally because of this, Celine's name comes up in Julie's interviews and she casually and respectively answers the questions given to her. I don't think it's creepy. I think it's a very nice thing to do on her part. Like chocolatechip15 mentioned above, I'm sure she would rather be focusing on her own career and what's going on in her own life. I think we should be grateful that we have an inside women who is willing to let the fans know what's going on in Celine's life from time to time. If it wasn't for Julie we wouldn't have been kept up to date with Rene's health and other things going on in Celine's career. Yes, sometimes Julie might look a little bit to much like Celine. Can it get a little creepy at times? Maybe, but I'm sure Celine takes it as the most sincere form of flattery. Who doesn't want to look like Celine? The woman is gorgeous!
