Céline's Return to Colosseum Live Stream - February 23, 2016

So many of her songs deserve to more than just album fillers many of the best songs on Celine's albums never see the light of day after the studio. Often times the singles are NOT the best material from the album.'

I think everyone agrees with that.

 

Some of my favorite Celine songs were never released/promoted: Just Walk Away, I Remember LA , Love Doesn't Ask Why, Where Is The Love, If Walls Could Talk to name a few. I never expect her to sing any of these live since they were not sung back in the day BUT I did expect songs that were actual singles to be included. I mean songs such as Nothing Broken But My Heart, Call The Man, Falling Into You, Think Twice, Tell Him, Have You Ever Been In Love, If You Asked Me To and so on.

......again though she says it's our fault that she sings the same songs over and over....... Oh how I would love to tell her, Aldo, her team or anyone that would listen different!

The big hits need to be there, that goes without saying. I think all singers sing their biggest hits every time they tour! However, a concert can also be about fan favorites, rarely performed singles, thematic medleys, and of course covers! I don't think anyone says no to them. But out of the list I posted the only one that sounds really special when Celine sings it is Over The Rainbow. The vast majority of the rest are Karaoke-ish. It's her teams fault for having so little faith in her fans, the think we forgot about all of her albums. Many people fans or not probably would know ever pay SINGLE song on the LTAL and FIY albums. 2 of the biggest selling albums ever, they think that people just jumped to track 12 on the LTAL album and replayed MHWGO six billion times but never played any other songs on the album lol. Or jumped to track 2 on FIY just for BYLM?? LTAL and FIY albums had 2 of her biggest English hits on them (BYLM, &MHWGO) but people listened to the whole album when they bought these albums not just 2 songs lol.

Well I guess I understand why she is stuck because it's Vegas but it does kind of irritate me when she says it's "our" fault and keeps saying it! (she has said it more than once)

 

 

I am hoping to go back to Vegas this summer and I admit that I will cheer my behind off and dance and sing with her so I will have to take what I get! Still love her though

Would like to see At Seventeen back, too. Maybe not the full thing, but would be great as part of an acoustic medley.

 

And while I think Just a Little Bit of Love and Dreaming of You are definitely 'bathroom break' filler songs, I would indeed love for her to resurrect Call the Man and Falling Into You. Both really solid songs, I was always surprised they weren't performed more. Refuse to Dance is another one that comes to mind as a forgotten gem.

Take that back! Hahaha I'm the complete opposite. Ne Me Quitte Pas and @17 had their moments, and I absolutely adore Dreamin' of You and Just A Little Bit of Love. It just needs the right treatment and timing in the show. And any of her songs that had not been sung live deserves their special moment. ...Except Rain, Tax and that Let Me Be Your Soldier song. #gasp #cringe

I haven't realised it before but actually With One More Look At You/Watch Closely Now is SO close to the lyrics of Then You Look At Me....

 

It's all about the eyes and watching over someone. Thus, I would say that Then You Look At Me would be a much better addition with the same vibe, yet original.... And even if it wasn't chosen for this run I think it's a perfect choice to replace this first segment.

Ok so she didn't walk the audience the last two shows because according to a rumor somewhere on fb she was pushed. I can understand her not wanting to be in that situation. I was afraid of that.

She did say it was technical difficulties though but I tend to believe it was pushing to get selfies.

So what technical issues could there be?? I've only ever seen clips so probably those of you who have seen this in person may be able to answer. All I can think of is there was a problem with the cordless mic.

I think it would be cool if she performed - S'il N'en Restait Qu'une - and used the screen and hologram technology to do a similar but updated version of this song/performance for the stage.... Those 5 years of AND felt like forever. I think that's because she sang way more and we weren't used to the Vegas residency and we all wanted her to be international again. But now most of us has made peace at least with Vegas so it's going faster.

Another reason would be that she pretty much disappeared from 2003 till 2007 but during the run of Celine she gave concerts here and there.

 

I also find LMBTL and SA to be better albums than her releases during AND. Good music helps in not missing Celine!

I have most of the second show recorded.... my phone died during Purple Rain, I think. I have been swamped with work since I got back from Vegas so I haven't been able to upload it yet but I'll get it done over the weekend!!
