aicee Posted April 24, 2008 at 05:48 AM Posted April 24, 2008 at 05:48 AM (edited) Not for mimi but for Celine. I agree that "FIY" is definitely a diva album. Because of the high notes of songs in the album. LIke Allllllllllllll byyyyyyyyyyy Myselffffffffff!!!!!!!!! anymore!!!!!!! Edited April 24, 2008 at 05:48 AM by aicee Quote
dolores Posted April 24, 2008 at 06:38 AM Posted April 24, 2008 at 06:38 AM it's still my fav english album of celine Quote http://img4.hostingpics.net/pics/478226kiss.gif "Musically, I always allow myself to jump off of cliffs. At least that's what it feels like to me.Whether that's what it actually sounds like might depend on what the listener brings to the songs."
Black Kitten Posted April 24, 2008 at 07:17 AM Posted April 24, 2008 at 07:17 AM it's not The Bodyguard nor Mariah Carey that can compete with Falling into You for a definitive diva album. the only album i can think that can compete with FIY 'vocally' is Whitney Houston's eponymous debut album. FIY & WH are untouchable. Quote
corr_azy Posted April 24, 2008 at 07:57 AM Posted April 24, 2008 at 07:57 AM Well, I think the 3 divas all have a best vocal album. Celine: FIYMariah: EmotionsWhitney: Whitney Quote
destin139 Posted April 24, 2008 at 10:22 AM Posted April 24, 2008 at 10:22 AM i agree - i would have loved to have seen her live around the time that she released FIY - in my opinion its untouchable!! 3 Quote http://i717.photobucket.com/albums/ww171/destin139/Celine2.jpg

Nikosn17 Posted April 24, 2008 at 11:06 AM Posted April 24, 2008 at 11:06 AM Well, I think the 3 divas all have a best vocal album. Celine: FIYMariah: EmotionsWhitney: Whitney Agree. Mariah's ''Emotions'' album is better vocally then her debut and I actually think it's better (vocally) than ''Falling Into You'' but in terms of music FIY is by far better. Quote
Chula Posted April 24, 2008 at 11:14 AM Posted April 24, 2008 at 11:14 AM Everything about Mariah after 1997 has tremendously sucked! Quote

Edwin Posted April 24, 2008 at 03:18 PM Posted April 24, 2008 at 03:18 PM Back to the original topic of this FORUM Falling Into You is second only to ANDHC as my favorite English albums. And I think most people know why, FIY is an album full of great songs! Quote
Davey84 Posted April 24, 2008 at 03:33 PM Posted April 24, 2008 at 03:33 PM FIY will always be standing like a house, there are some great amazing notes on this one. but I do think that vocally The Colour Of My Love was better! with FIY in some songs her voice sounds raw, which I love don't get me wrong, but her voice was much smoother on TCOML! 1 Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th
grobandion Posted April 24, 2008 at 04:52 PM Posted April 24, 2008 at 04:52 PM For me, The Colour of my love, holds a very special place in my heart, since it was the album that drew me to her. I fell in love with "Think twice".But, FIY is an amazing album, with at least 3 hit songs worldwidePersonally, I love "A new day ahs come" the most, that's my favourite. The one I like the least is "Unison" Quote
Dionesque Posted April 24, 2008 at 06:31 PM Posted April 24, 2008 at 06:31 PM I agree with Davey and GrobanDion - for me "TCOML" is Céline's #1 English album, for the same reasons as for GrobanDion but also for the reasons Davey mentioned. I think the songs on that album are more artistic and great vocally as for me, personally. But "Falling Into You" is deffinitely one my fave of her English album too. Songs like "IACBTMN", "ABM" or just "Your Light" are really powerful and of course it's her most sucessful English album but, as I already said, "TPOML" reminds my personal number 1 among her English releases. Your_Su_Phu Posted April 24, 2008 at 06:52 PM Posted April 24, 2008 at 06:52 PM of course falling into you is my favorite celine album of all time Well, I think the 3 divas all have a best vocal album. Celine: FIYMariah: EmotionsWhitney: Whitney Agree. Mariah's ''Emotions'' album is better vocally then her debut and I actually think it's better (vocally) than ''Falling Into You'' but in terms of music FIY is by far better. the whistles on emotions are astounding but I didn't like the album in terms of songs. however I'll always prefer celine's crystal clear angelic voice Everything about Mariah after 1997 has tremendously sucked! I love my all, breakdown, honey, whenever you call from the butterfly album <3 Quote
celinecolombian Posted April 24, 2008 at 08:35 PM Posted April 24, 2008 at 08:35 PM Oh yes, FIY is such a perfect album in every way, actually it is the first Celine album I ever bought. So diva album, I mean great songs, notes, emotions... And besides, my latinamerican version of the album has two songs: Sola Otra Vez and Natural Woman So I can't ask for more... Each and every Celine album is great, but FIY is FIY hehehe... Quote
sgcpc Posted April 24, 2008 at 08:42 PM Posted April 24, 2008 at 08:42 PM people, stop bringing mariah's name up in here when she's definitely not needed to be mentioned. i love her, but it's not quite right to see her name in each and every thread in this forum. totally agree!!!!! shes not even in celine's league!!! come on, she is just this no class, slutty, diva *CENSORED*! sorry, but this is what i think! never liked her! ad never will! too fake! 1 Quote
Céline's Blues Posted April 24, 2008 at 08:44 PM Posted April 24, 2008 at 08:44 PM Not true. D'eux is the album vocally and if you add those lyrics to the package you got one of a lifetime achievement. Falling Into You is merely very nice. Quote http://i.imgur.com/dmreJ.jpg
CelineAndRene Posted April 24, 2008 at 09:56 PM Posted April 24, 2008 at 09:56 PM Yep, FIY is almost the strongest album ever from anyone to record! POWERFUL Power-Ballads (IACBTMN, ABM, RDMH, etc) Quote "...It's the circle of life. You gotta look forward. Two days during the year there's nothing you can do about: yesterday and tomorrow. Javito Posted April 24, 2008 at 10:45 PM Posted April 24, 2008 at 10:45 PM A New Day Has Come, The Colour Of My Love, Falling Into You, and the 7 new songs of All The Way... the best of the best for me 1 Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
idroveallnight Posted April 24, 2008 at 11:14 PM Posted April 24, 2008 at 11:14 PM It's probably the most vocally supreme album in history. For the past 2 weeks I've regressed to Vintage Celine and have been listening to FIY regularly. Just listening to IACBTMN, DOL, RDMH, ABM, IDK... they're just completely unbelievable...her voice just blows me away. I don't think there will ever be another singer who can match Celine's excellence. She deserves all the wealth and success in the world and unfortunately she isn't getting much praise these days. 1 Quote
aicee Posted April 25, 2008 at 02:17 AM Posted April 25, 2008 at 02:17 AM I think nothing can beat FIY. I never get bored of listening into it. "It's all coming back to me now" Quote
scorp82 Posted April 25, 2008 at 03:38 AM Posted April 25, 2008 at 03:38 AM As much as I love Falling Into You, Celine's Let's Talk About Love is also a very elegant and classy diva album! 1 Quote
smw Posted April 25, 2008 at 05:03 AM Posted April 25, 2008 at 05:03 AM Yeah - if I were a rising Diva, the Falling Into You album would intimidate the hell out of me. It's happy - it's vocally perfect - it's IMPRESSIVE. And it's fresh....still. 2 Quote
