I met Talia, it was her who took me backstage. I remember she was about the same size as me lol. Really nice. 😆 didn't recognise her in the pics. Although I was really only looking at Céline and RC.

Ya I think she was back stage too when i met Celine, she told us what would happen and told us shed send on photo and i think she took my bag for the photo, its all coming back to me now !!!

My friend and I got to Notre Dame at 12:45pm, and there were approx 200 people in line already. We all expected Celine to leave, so when the line up of people barely moved to head inside.... we were thinking "wow, this is oddly taking a long time". Friends who were watching the live stream was telling me that Celine was still there. It took us 3.5 hours outside before we got inside. Once we got inside, we had another hour to wait, as we slowly moved up to the front.

 

 

 

 

Nick no longer works for Celine I asked Jeremy when I was in Las Vegas. He has a family now

She attended her brothers wake wearing gray. She did NOT attend the funeral they were held on different days.

Ugh, all these open casket videos proliferating on YouTube are making me uncomfortable. Being there in person, real-time, or filming her & people coming to pay respects - that's one thing. But the multitude of open casket close-ups all over the place now... it's just too much. Makes me sad.

The casket was open for the wake... Not the funeral, thankfully.

A “Celebration of Life” in honor of the late René Angélil, the husband and former manager of singer Celine Dion, will be held at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 7:00 p.m. The event will feature a series of guest speakers celebrating the life of René Angélil through stories and reminiscences.

 

Admission to the event is by ticket only, which are complimentary and available to the public beginning Thursday, Jan. 28 at 10 a.m. in-person at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace box office, with a maximum of four tickets per person. Tickets are general admission and do not guarantee admission, but will be honored first come-first served the evening of the event with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.

 

As her manager, René Angélil made Celine Dion a star of international stature. René was the visionary behind Celine’s ongoing, headlining residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace which began over a decade ago and set a new standard of entertainment in Las Vegas.

 

Surrounded by the love of his family and friends, René Angélil passed away on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, on the eve of his 74th birthday.

I just watched Celine: 3 boys and A new show and it just seems weird like I feel like all this was just yesterday. Everytime Rene spoke my heart shattered into a million pieces all over again.

Weve never had a Celine without Rene, its going to be strange to adjust ...................I hope they are doing ok without him ......that funeral killed me though, i never would have expected anything like that and to actually have seen it, like i was there......

I try not to look at open cascets because that way it is not that last picture in your mind but you think about how you remembered that person. But that is my personal choice.

I like to remember Rene the way he was pre-2014 though I must say Rene looked good till the end. My mom's best friend who died of cancer too looked unrecognizable especially towards the end

It was 2015 - last March. He didn't speak, but walked across the stage with Celine, his arm around her.

I haven't commented or written anything simply because everyone said or shared thoughts and respects that I had about René and his passing. One thing that dawned on me though that I don't know anything said or realized about the funeral and René's song choices, and maybe it was just ironic, but each song of the 3 songs he chose was Marnay, Plamondon, and Goldman! Knowing René it's not sheer irony but I thought selecting each three song writers of her career was pretty darn René, respectful and always thinking.
