Céline Dion: Summer Tour 2016 - Official Topic

as has been mentioned by some, the whole show reads as a love letter to René, and should absolutely be documented in the form of a DVD. they would be missing a huge opportunity if they opt not to do so.

 

I meant to tell this story the other day: after the show on the 31st, my companions and I stood around talking for an extra half-hour or so, as we were still stunned by what we had witnessed (lol). a security guard even told us that there wasn't a rush for us to leave. after maybe 20 mins or so, they started setting up the couch and spotlight and whatnot that would be used for the press conference, and asked the remaining people who were there to take their seats (basically 50 journalists and cameramen and such, and then us 4 fans, lol. there may have been more fans there, but they must have been as well-camouflaged as we were). another 5 minutes later, and the queen walks out from backstage along with Michel, Aldo, Patrick, et cetera, and plops down on the couch 25 feet away from us. talk about being in the right place at the right time! after the press conference, we were led along with the media out of the press entrance or whichever, and you guys should see how many huge photos of her from the throughout the years are along the walls. 'twas an amazing experience.

Kaven Girouard makes me cringe. He is literally pulling the same faces in each performance as if he's having an orgasm or something. I find him pretentious and forced.

 

I like to imagine his facial expressions in all sorts of activities avec moi...

There is this thing in life called consideraton for others around you...some people get it. Some dont. It's a principal like common sense.

There's this principle in life that moaners will always moan because moaning is all they know - complaining about someone singing loudly at a concert is the most ludicrous thing I've ever heard. We shan't agree here, but that's fine - I'm over it.

 

If I see my favourite artist in concert tomorrow, you can bet your #ss that I'm going to be singing as loud as I can.

i was singing at the concert but even my husband could not hear me, it would be pretty hard in a show like that. But if i go see a show in a more intimate setting , for sure i won't sing.

I will hear you after you have heard an entire concert where Celine Dion sings, where you paid lots for, only hearing fans singing so loud you cannot hear the voice you paid for. That is not moaning. I am not a moaner at all. But it would ruin my concert if i could not even hear Celine.

 

Respect other fans also, it is quite egocentric - i am gonna sing as loud as i can - as you state

i think they really put a filter on celine's mic like it's blocking her voice or something. Compare it to her Sans Attendre Tour it's more loud and clear. I noticed this when scott is the new musical director back in August 2015.

Lol at some of you who are mad because people in concerts should shut up just so that us who didn't pay anything can have a good bootleg...

The reason why we hear so loudly people singing in bootlegs is mostly because of the anti-white noise software in the phone that kills the background sounds to keep your voice on top. In concerts, unless it is a slow song or the guy/girl is really shouting his lungs out, you really do not hear your neighbor much.

No that is a matter of how good the microphone is on the phone or the camera. Some microphones pick up sound very well ( like sony photocameras/iphones) or bad ( samsung phones in general). And a professional recording is also something quite different; We record the concerts in the venue with our phone or camera but the concertrecordings are recorded directly from the microphone source and the mics of the different intstruments

I would take any live performance of Immensite over the studio version. Much more emotion! I can really feel she connects to the song, she totally loves it!

Could anyone francophone on this Forum please help me to translate parts 41:00-53:00, 59:00-1:16:00 and 1:24:00-1:25:00. It's okay if it will be not word-by-word, just the overal idea of the speech would be appropriate. I would be really grateful if someone corresponded

I love Immensite studio, but it is a thousand times better live, I agree!!!!!! So glad to know she loves a song that I also love. You know, you want to think that your favorite artists love singing the songs you love hearing, so it's nice to know she does with this one.

I liked the song when it was released but it was like something was missing.

 

With the live version, especially with the full orchestra, it gives life to the song. I liked it very much in 2013, now I am absolutely in love 😆

Actually it's one of the songs that my bf - who is not a fan - enjoyed a lot (with Et je t'aime encore).

A real jewel. Touching and lively. Simple and operatic.
