"Celine" The Revamped Show

yeah the transition between IDAN and OA was fine as we had an instrumental transition to instrumental intro of OA but from the very beginning I was telling the same thing, IDAN and IS next to each other don't work well, even if she did IDAN herself it would still be weird.

No offence to any of the fans in the IDAN montage (I recorded a video but didn't upload in time) but I really think it's a bit awkward and not the best intro- I know it's such a recognition of the fans but I think it's time for it to go

 

I think it was a good, fresh idea for her return. I wanted to make a video but didn't, when I saw it in August I thought it was very cool but it's hard to see all the images because it moves fast. I agree that they should think about something else and maybe add IDAN into the set list. I love that song and it always has good energy to it.

IDAN is a great song with a lot of energy. I wouldn't mind seeing it in the setlist, but I got bored with it being playback and it lost its energy. I'm not really counting the 2007 today show performance because it was in a studio, but look at the 2003 today show performance where she had an audience and the song was great. You could tell she really enjoyed performing that. You can actually feel the energy the song is supposed to have, as she was feeding off the audience. I love that performance very much.

I think the show (at least for this run), should start with the screen coming down, silence, and a picture of René. The crowd will likely applaud, stand, screen disappears, and the show begins.

 

I think it will give Céline a lot of strength to be backstage and hear the outpouring of love.

I don't see there being any changes to the show when Celine returns on Feb 23rd. First of all, Celine isn't going to feel like rehearing and preparing new ideas for the show right now and secondly, All of Celine's songs are going to be just as hard to sing as the next. All her songs are going to make her think of Rene know matter what changes are made.

 

Rene approved of every detail in this show before his passing, so for that reason alone I don't see her changing anything for awhile. This is Celine's last show that has Rene's opinions and ideas in it. I would imagine that Celine would want to hold onto that as long as she can.

 

I think changes will be made, but not now. Maybe in a year. Celine already has to much that she has to focus on and worry about right now.

Although it is still fresh and heart breaking... She said herself that she did most of her preparing and mourning last year in the run up to this.

 

It's coming up to a month and she has been lucky enough to have had a few weeks off, and like everyone you do have to return to work and carry on. So I think she will welcome working on new songs and idea's to take her mind of things and no doubt she will have to film a music video for the new French single also and start thinking about promo and interviews for it.

 

Life goes on and Celine is stronger and more determined than most.

I agree with Angel2006, working on changes and new ideas for the show is probably the last thing Celine wants to do at this moment. But, at the same time, I think that her career (as well as her children) is going to help her to keep her mind busy and not get depressed or things like that, which is such a relief!
