Funnily I sent a letter to Ken Ehrlich in this respect with the link to the intro :-)

 

Originally I wrote him that he might have an idea that she sings at the Oscar for In Memoriam section to commemorate James Horner just like Babs did some years ago for the writer of The Way We Were. And I wrote him that his haunting intro would be perfect.

 

On a side note I wrote that it might cool for the Vegas show too :-)

 

If you like to join the call maybe you could write him too :-)

The quote about only needing a few days to get back in top shape, makes me believe that there won't be any changes. Let's not forget that Celine has to do rehearsals when the Colosseum is available. Elton John and Mariah Carey are probably there still as well, and that might be why she must do rehearsals a week before. Time will tell.

I figured that was the case but thought I'd check. Thanks for the response! Bell Centre tickets are half the price of Vegas and there look to be some decent floor seats left for some dates. Now here's hoping that I can convince the husband that the trip is necessary.

That's is only somewhat true.

 

When the audio videos for "I'm Alive," "When I Need You," "I Love You" and "To Love You More" were added, Celine was preparing for the Asian tour. We all know "To Love You More" was a HUGE success in that territory. "I Love You" and "When I Need You" could have been songs being considered for that tour. Another possibility is those songs were being considered to be added into "Celine." However, Celine canceled everything to care for Rene shortly after their uploads.

 

Also, when the audio videos for the "Incredible" album were released, she performed every single song which had been turned into an audio video for the album during the album's promo tour or in "Celine." "Overjoyed" is the only recent uploaded audio video which probably should have been created back during the album's launch, along with "Unfinished Songs." ("How Do You Keep The Music Playing" and "Lullabye (Goodnight, My Angel)" were Target exclusive tracks in the U.S., so it is understandable why audio videos for them were not created.)

 

So, that brings us to the recent audio videos. "Overjoyed" could simply be a late straggler that was supposed to have been created during the promo for "Loved Me Back To Life" and the first incarnation of "Celine." As for the others? I don't think it's too far fetched to think they could be part of the "mulling over" stages of possible updates to the current version of "Celine." Especially "Tell Him," "My Love" and "Thank You." "Beauty And The Beast" could also simply be a late straggler to her YouTube/Vevo pages since it hasn't had representation on those channels within the past six years or so.

 

Some other songs from her catalog which I think have a decent likelihood of showing up onto her Vevo and YouTube channels as audio videos are as follows:

I'm not trying to say I 100% believe there is a definite connection between the audio videos and songs for the stage. I'm simply stating I think it's a possibility. I wouldn't even think of there being any type of connection if the only audio videos being posted were for the normal well-knowns like "I'm Alive," "Because You Loved Me," "Beauty And The Beast," "River Deep, Mountain High," "J'irai où tu iras," "My Love" and "To Love You More," or to help promote new albums (i.e. "Loved Me Back To Life," "Somebody Loves Somebody" and "Incredible"). However, when random, left field audio videos get created for non-singles and never performed songs like "I Love You," "Thank You," "If That's What It Takes," "When I Need You" and "There Comes A Time," it does make me stop to think there may be a bigger reason for them being uploaded than just for kicks.

SuperLove your post doesn't prove anything. If she had been rehearsing those songs for the Asian tour and she would have performed them, then ok you have your point. But since it didn't happen it's rather simply a coincidence. Also, taking your post into consideration, adding various TAST songs on vevo would mean that she was going to to include any of them in the show and she DID NOT.

 

And what's the point of posting a list of songs which you think they MIGHT add in this topic? doesn't make sense at all. Let's stick to the show itself and more reliable information.

 

Apart from that, they are not that smart to upload a song that they are going to include in a potential setlist

 

Going back to the topic, nuts2you, is there anyone else from the forum attending? I've heard that some people are going so maybe you could periscope together different parts of the show?

I think their will be some changes, especially for the sake of audiences. If you keep the show the exact same way it was before Rene was gone people may think she's being rushed back into it or she doesn't care anymore etc. Gotta love how entertainment magazines can make a mountain out of a mole hill. Weren't they supposedly making better/ planning on bringing in new holograms for the show?

I'd rather see less songs, with them done in fuller length....than more songs with many being spliced up. The sad thing about it is the covers in the show are all full length segments.

 

It's a bit ridiculous that it's been over 16 years since we've heard the second verse in Because You Loved Me.... it's her second biggest song. I personally love that verse.

 

On a similar note, I'm really tired of IACBTMN just being a medley transitioner after the belt for the last decade plus. Maybe it doesn't have to be the full seven minute version, but I'd really like her to "end the song" after that sustained C5 belt.... that slow verse she sings and ends it softer for a minute. I want you all to watch this video and pay attention to when the audience applauses most loudly... it's not at the belt, but rather when she slows the song down with the nice run after about a minute... pay attention around 29:40.... just simply ending the song properly gives this song the magic that was sucked out of it the past several years. It truly makes this song a "moment" in the show.

Agree completely Tyler, BYLM should be all the way through because when I hear it on the radio now a days I forget it has a second verse.
