maria_k Posted February 5, 2016 at 05:21 PM Posted February 5, 2016 at 05:21 PM In the youtube topic bringing choir into the show was mentioned, and if it would happen (even with just adding it on the screen), I would love 'Thankful' to be included in the show. It's one of my favourite from LMBTL. Also 'Love Doesn't Ask Why' with proper arrangement could be great addition in my opinion. This one is one of my favourite from whole english repertoire And I find message of both songs appropriate for this period of Celine's life, and I think that's the most important aspect right now 6
ryba Posted February 5, 2016 at 05:56 PM Posted February 5, 2016 at 05:56 PM (edited) Replace TFTEISYF and If I Can Dream (which is just a video anyway) with Love doesnt ask why and call the man (choir Hologram) or think twice. That would be awesome and would add some spice to the show as these are some real beautiful Celine classics Edited February 5, 2016 at 05:58 PM by ryba 4
LukeD Posted February 5, 2016 at 08:03 PM Posted February 5, 2016 at 08:03 PM (edited) I have a feeling ''The Colour Of My Love'', ''All The Way'', ''Trois Heures Vingt'' will be added to the show. ''Over The Rainbow'' and ''The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face'' shall stay. They might also add ''Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore'' and ''L'amour Existe Encore''. Since all these were part of the tribute it makes sense to be sung live. Edited February 5, 2016 at 08:04 PM by LukeD 2
brendanm999 Posted February 5, 2016 at 08:12 PM Posted February 5, 2016 at 08:12 PM I also think that, as soon as My heart will go on will never be removed from any setlist, Scott could play with the music. My suggestion would be to replace the flute with violin or saxophone. I recently found some amazing instrumental covers of the song that I actually love very much! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tFdlhlmQ-ek https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVILQIdagP8 I feel the like flute is so important to MHWGO and is the key instrument in the song. Sax and violin are outwarldy present nowadays anyway. I think it's amazing she's singing it live with so many variations each night! Taylor's violin cover is so beautiful, I must say it may be my favorite.

Popular Post Shaun Posted February 6, 2016 at 09:17 AM Popular Post Posted February 6, 2016 at 09:17 AM I'd be very surprised if on 23rd February there are no changes to the show. Based on what we've seen over the past few weeks there will be some songs that Celine will find just too difficult to sing. I'd also be very surprised if there aren't one or two more French songs in the show now. If you thought the comeback show in August was emotional - and I was lucky enough to be there - the show on 23rd February will be on another level. 12 Bringing you the world's only Celine Dion podcast show since 2014.Find us on Soundcloud, Apple Podcasts, Spotify & Amazon Music.
Popular Post Tyler1991 Posted February 6, 2016 at 05:54 PM Popular Post Posted February 6, 2016 at 05:54 PM I expect some kind of change but nothing big or unheard of or rare. I think any changes will be simple, but understandably predictable in terms of just using songs recently rehearsed. Also, just because some songs were used in celebration of life or the funeral certainly would not make it likely to be in the show. I can't believe how many people legitimately think 320 may be in the show. Yea, right?!?! She will forever remember that song as walking in the church to see rene the final time, with that kind of memory relating to the song there is literally NO WAY she will ever sing it again. And if she does sing it in vegas how is she gonna introduce the song....like come on, guys... let's be realistic lmao 10

As much as we'd love for it to be added, how can we expect Celine to sing her wedding song night after night? Especially seeing her cry at the end when hearing that final line. Just can't see it happening. I think the changes will be minimal. If any at all. Edited February 6, 2016 at 06:49 PM by celine4evauk 2

sfbaysinger Posted February 6, 2016 at 07:10 PM Posted February 6, 2016 at 07:10 PM All I want is for her NOT to sing ABM. Too hard. 5 L'immensite de mon amour pour Celine! L'amour existe encore pour elle!
Ukrfan Posted February 6, 2016 at 08:11 PM Posted February 6, 2016 at 08:11 PM (edited) For some reason I don't think it will be so hard for her to sing english songs since english is not her fisrt language. Yes, she speaks it, yes, she does understand the meaning, but if I may say she doesn't feel it... as we only have this feeling for our mother tongue. They spoke with Rene in french and of course her main memories about him will be in that language. I can be wrong. Edited February 6, 2016 at 08:12 PM by Ukrfan

LukeD Posted February 6, 2016 at 11:04 PM Posted February 6, 2016 at 11:04 PM TCOML, ATW, PQTME would make much more sense than Kiss/Purple Rain anyway. I believe PQTME / LEE / Trois Heures Vingt could work well together too. At this point of her career and status she can pull off a French songs medley. 4

But whether PQTME was in Rene's funeral or not it should be a part of her show, it's her biggest French hit! 3

DionFanAlways Posted February 7, 2016 at 12:35 AM Posted February 7, 2016 at 12:35 AM Well I wish she would just add anything other than Quand Ca Balance...... still don't get that one :/ 2 I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.

I don't care for that jazz section rather have a French medley of songs in that spot. 4

The French medley idea would be a good tribute. 1 I didn't know love until they loved me back to life because somebody loves somebody!Le temps qui compte pour Celine est maintenant!

I'd be heartbroken if they cut that one ;-( Incredible should go. That song has always been a complete bore to me. I just don't get it. I would so love to hear Ne me quite pas again, but clearly that's not gonna happen for a very, very long time, if ever. Edited February 7, 2016 at 01:35 AM by scielle

LukeD Posted February 7, 2016 at 01:32 AM Posted February 7, 2016 at 01:32 AM (edited) I don't know it it'll be harder for her to sing love songs and songs about loss OR these energetic up-tempo songs like LCMM/RDMH. Maybe she's not in the mood for them. Edited February 7, 2016 at 01:32 AM by LukeD 2

Maybe she's not in the mood for them. I think the sad love song will actually help her more, then a uptempo song where she feels like "dancing". When she asks the audience to stand up and dance I can't believe that she will really be wanting dance. 1

There are so many fabulous songs she could be singing outside of her own recorded repertoire - I so wish she did more of that. 1

Maybe she's not in the mood for them. Didn't Rene say in one of those documentary videos that LCMM/RDMH was his favourite number in the show? If so, then it's bound to be hard... And also, didn't she say in some interview that one of the reasons she felt the need to step away in Aug '14 was because she had to be up there singing these happy-dancy songs and she felt like she was lying? That it didn't feel right to be dancing around in a mini-skirt when she felt she needed to be at home? 2
scielle Posted February 7, 2016 at 01:47 AM Posted February 7, 2016 at 01:47 AM Covers are for people without hits and enough decent songs to perform live in my honest opinion. Couldn't disagree more. Great songs are great songs. And a fabulous interpreter like Celine can make them her own. Pretty much all my favourite of Celine's English songs are covers - Calling You, ABM, First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, All the Way, Nature Boy, Falling Into You, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, At Seventeen, Here There and Everywhere, etc. etc. Hits =/= great songs. Often far from it. But guess we'll have to agree to disagree.
