Considering the show closes with ''Over The Rainbow'' would you like the idea of ''The Colour Of My Love'' being the first song performed?

You are strict, aren't you? I agree with you and I think that adding 1 or 2 covers in each show/tour would make them come off as more special.

Lol. Most artists choose to pay tribute to someone, and do this by a shortened version of a couple songs in a medley. I think that would be great, but why all of the random songs. And what irritates me is she does FULL versions of " The Show Must Go On" and " Mr. Paganini" but then does EVERY single one her songs shortened expect for MHWGO.

I think " The Colour Of My Love" would fit perfectly in the middle of the show, instead of TFTEISYF where she sings " The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face"' sing TCOML instead with a video montage of Celine and Rene on the screen.

I almost like the idea of TCOML as the first song of the show. No need for a curtain drop. Would it be weird if that still occurred in the second song and maybe the first song was more low key where she just comes out to a simple standing ovation where she says she's doing the show for rene and everyone's support means the world to her, etc and thenjoy dedicates the song and the show to him and sings it with just piano and her.... of course that would end perfectly as the last song too. Not really sure it needs TCOML and over the rainbow both in the show... hmm, just throwing out some thoughts here honestly. Not really sure how best to incorporate it in, or if it's even best too

I think TCOML needs to be included. It's a GREAT song! I think the fact that it would be great as a tribute to Rene but even if Rene was still with us I think this song should be sung.

I think it would do better like 3rd or 4th song or like a replacement to TFTEISYF. I am one of those people who think that the show should start with a high energy song, the cape drop is spectacular every time I see it (in video). I love I Surrender as the opener... That's one song I don't want to see changed, unless it's for something of equal tempo/energy.

Tcoml should be added but not as the opener...

Other songs that should be considered for the show:

* TYLAM

* PQTME

* Unfinished Songs

* RTD

* FIY

* SLS

I also think the curtain drop should go and she should arrive to the stage differently... I think we need just a touch of theatrical or technical wizardry in the show maybe for opening or closing of the show... Because there is no longer a wow moment!

We know the curtain drops, we know she walks through the crowd, we know she has water surrounding her and although very cool and impressive... Why not out do them or take it to the next level with how technology is these days

we will never agree on this because I think maybe 2 covers maximum should be in her show and they should be shortened versions in a medley. Ok let's say they insist on the Prince Medley, that's cool keep it but get they can get rid of "Mr Paganini, If I can dream, The show must go on, River Deep, the Jazz section. That's 7 songs of her material they could add. That's all random nonsense that doesn't need to be there.

I'm sorry but you will never convince me that people would rather hear a full version of "The show must go on" over a full version of " That's The Way It Is"' or " A New Day Has Come".

Three , apart from IDAN, biggest RECENT hits included in the show. You can tell that people love it and are still crazy about them as they have the most views on youtube.... and putting them in the medley was a crime.

I still don't understand why some people are not tired of covers no matter how great they sound. They did TSMGO during TCTW. It's great, true, but imagine HER hits with full orchestra, that would blow me away. Of course, I'd still eliminate other more random covers, but in general I'm convinced just as Nmj that people would rather hear full versions of ANDHC (for instance) or even IACBTMN!!!!

TCOML isn't a song to begin a show, it's so intimate, but somewhere in the middle would be great.

Finally, I don't understand If I can dream situation nor other Barnev's interludes because Scott proved during the Celebration of Life that he can create wonderful instrumentals of Celine's hits. Why didn't they do it when they came back with the show in August.... That I'll never understand.

Celine always does covers in her shows. Do I think she should? Depends on the song? Do I think she should do so many in one show? No. Do I think she should perform more of her own hits/songs? Of course.

But I'd still take a great cover like TSMGO over a song I'm quite bored with, like TLYM. I used to love that song. Then it was lipped, then it was shortened. Then I got bored. 😂

Personally (and I know I'm dreaming here), but I'd rather she brought back songs that she didn't include in AND etc. So it would feel much more fresh.

Like TTWII - obviously we all want it in full - ,TT, DOL, TPOTD, IYAMT, OOR, FIY, CTM, TH, etc

TLYM live and in full :blush: what a dream....

OMG, I've just heard IA on the Polish radio and... they randomly played the 2002 remix version... but somehow when I heard it on the radio between other shitty songs I paid attention to the lyrics more carefully and I think it's PERFECT under such circumstances... why? Of course it's not that hard for her to sing comparing to ABM, TPOL or MHWGO but it's not what caught my attention. Some of you say she shouldn't sing it.... but to me it's the other way round. Now with its meaning it's perfect because through its uplifting spirit she can really express many great things. What caught my attention was essentially the phrase "God knows that I'm Alive"... and instantly I thought that it may as well sound like "Rene knows that I'm alive". It's what he wanted for her, to be alive, and to me from this very moment this song has gained a therapeutic sense. And I think she should go this path....

Celine needs to get her strength back and she has to do it on a positive side singing something that makes you stronger, not more depressing like other songs (ABM)...

I wouldn't expect Celine to perform "The Colour Of My Love." However, there is a very simple solution to incorporating it into the show. Remove the "If I Can Dream" video segment and replace it with a photo/video montage of Celine and Rene on the LED screen while "The Colour Of My Love" plays. If possible, the instrumentation would be live by the orchestra, but the vocals could be pre-recorded, either new in-studio, or the isolated vocals from the version found on the album by the same name. This segment would be an "interlude" while Celine is busy changing into her next outfit.

Of course we would but they won't do that. The show has to sell. By bringing the whole show online it will be easy to have a hd version to download. They will not do that. And if Celine breaks or gets emotional, those images will be forever online in hd. No they won't do that. I am sure. It is businesswise not a good decision.

Yes but as we've seen with technology that will be the case anyways. Ok not in HD but it will happen everyone has a phone nowadays and most people use it regardless of the rules at the Colosseum. Though personally I believe most people would still go see the show even if it was available online. Look at AND they released the CD and were going to release a dvd in only the second year in. Clearly the prospect of the show not selling didn't bother them then. But fair enough you make valid points. Though I am still going to try lol The greedy fan in me does wanna see it live streamed.

This is not one of my smartest moves- being someone who makes decisions with their head instead of my heart- but I couldn't shake it off. And last week I had a Celine dream, which is rare for me too! Anyways, long story short...I book myself a mini-vacation to Vegas! Hopefully whose attending on February 23rd & 24th will be around I can meet ya guys and gals! See ya in 2 wks!!!

All I could hear in my head Friday night when I made my decision to go was: "There's only one road I'm following, one lifetime, one heart to guide me..."

Then she starts singing a cover of HIS FAVORITE BAND OF ALL TIME - QUEEN!!!!!! The Show Must Go On - oh my God, it's his favorite song by his favorite band!!!!!!!!! Same thing happens when she starts singing the Prince songs.

There are probably, at the very least, a handful of those people every night in The Coliseum. Maybe, just maybe, every song that Celine sings isn't about YOU. It's about one of the other billions of people on earth, other than you, who also paid their money to see the show. You will never like every single song that an artist chooses to sing in a concert. Just enjoy the songs the artist sang that you liked, and when a song comes around that you don't like, stop for a moment and realize that other people exist other than you, and that maybe, just MAYBE, that song is for them.

For instance, my dad went to celine and loved the show, the premiere in 2011 with me. He also loves prince and honestly was not at all enthused with her cover. It's crazy because to us fans her voice on those songs sounds amazing with a different quality that we haven't heard in awhile. But a diehars true prince fan would hear that and shake their heads. I remember being so excited to show him a performance of the song and he was like really???? (A better quality video may have helped, but still, my point applies)

I agree with Tyler and SuperLove4Celine.

CouldWouldaShoulda- if they hate Celine they will hate her regardless if she sings "Purple Rain" or " The Colour Of My Love". And they shouldn't go to her concert if that's the case, don't even give me the excuse that they are forced to be there for a girlfriend/ boyfriends.

Most the people either LOVE Celine or think she's OK out of the people every night who are Attending. So your response is invalid.

Yes I'm not a idiot and I know I will enjoy the show whether she sings 7 covers or 2. All I'm saying is it MAKES SENSE to sing the song who put Celine where she is today.

I adore Celine but think of it from a writers standpoint why would you want to write songs for Celine if they never see the light of day after the recording session.

Ok I'm going to add my two cents to this... I think you're looking at the extreme ends of the spectrum. I would say there are also a lot of people that go to Vegas and think "Hm, I'm not a HUGE Céline fan but I like some of her songs... everyone is talking about this show I'll check it out." and then they're pleasantly surprised when they know a lot of her songs but are also really happy to see her do some covers (Purple Rain, etc...) It's pretty obvious that the audience loves Purple Rain especially.
