Well I may be only speaking for myself here but I'm glad the album has been pushed back.

After seeing Celine last night I think she needs to take her time.

To go do videos / promo and all that now would be too much for anyone.

It's enough to go back to Vegas for now , we have seen she has been in the studio too.

I hope for the break in March /April she takes time for herself.

Last thing we want is for her to get sick from stress of doing too much too soon.

I dont see celine coming back to Paris in fall.

It would be so much easier if they released it with her tour, she is out there, do a few interviews, maybe a special...

 

And to be honest I am afraid her concert will be the same same like the last french one.

Or they will suprise us and perform more old never live before songs

Why do exactly the same setlist. They should stop thinking for us but think out of the box. Otherwise you can compare each concert that was released on dvd and see the same songs in each setlist. No we do not want to hear the same setlist. Be creative Aldo! Lots more 'hits' to choose from. Such an amazing French repertoire. And as long these songs are presented as her hits, other great hits never have a chance to become her new hits!

and 2 months to finish the album. If they want to release a single in April, they are really able to release the album in June, come on. What's the point of releasing a single in April and the album in October/November? It's a very looong break and I also doubt they will release 2 singles BEFORE the album. Don't see it coming

If they do plan on including 1-3 songs in the concert, which would be some nice hype for the album, they should just release those songs as an EP before the tour.

I am not worried. I listened to the entire concert and her voice was good in songs that did not affect her emotionally. She strained simple notes during the tribute and then sang 1 octave above that with easy and power (during Purple Rain). I also find her tone to be beautiful and nasal-free most times which is good. But maybe that's just me.

But I think there is another thing we must consider; Vegas is taking all of her time at this moment, so there is less time to rehearse new songs and there is still this new french album that needs to be finished.

The funny thing is that none of these are singles... Always curious as to why they've lasted so long. It's the complete opposite situation in her English concerts.

All of these were released as radio, local singles! Destin was a big hit in Quebec and J'irais Ou Tu Iras did well in France (Top 20 I think).

This proves what I said before. She was also raspy during LEE in 2011 when she did the tribute. When she is about to cry she strains while singing.

because of the emotion, because i think she does great in other songs. But the singer who sings her songs like a robot without feeling the words is dead with René.

 

I really love L'hymne à l'amour , great performance , her best. I listen it often . I know it was not perfect, but to me it was. But it makes me sad .

That's true, I forgot about that performance. But her Vegas bootlegs from December and January her voice was flawless in many songs. A lot less raspy/ nasal. Since the revamp of her show her Voice is a lot more pure it seems. Way stronger and flattering than the TC tour in 2008 and the nasal years from "A New Day...". I think the emotion, and stress and loss is playing a role .

It's hard for me reading here comments of some "so called fans". And I don't get it. How can someone call him-/herself fan while @ the same time putting pressure on her regarding new songs/recordings/album. Since she's 12 years old she nearly permanently gave her last blooddrop for her fans. At the price of her personal life. Because of the public they kept the love affair secret for years. Torturning her soul. Because of the public and the stress of touring she couldn't get pregnant for years. Suffering as that dearest of wish didn't happen naturally. Because of the public pressure she was forced to change her haircolor back to brown.

Just a few exeamples.

And now she lost the love of her life. After seeing him getting sicker and sicker - and still perform.

 

Please let this woman mourn and do her steps back in her time.

 

I don't care when new songs will be published. She gave me SO MUCH, so so much throughout her whole carreer. Others would maybe take a long hiatus to mourn in peace. She came back only few weeks after the saddest and most energytaking days of her life.

 

SHE NEEDS now her loyal fans who don't put pressure on her regarding the new album or critize.

 

I really don't care about a new album. I simply hope she doesn't collapse! No human being has endless strength. Please. Send her a sign that she may be also weak and no one of us will abandom her because of that. At least THE REAL FANS!

I'm glad the date was moved back -- Promo has always been the part of the job Celine liked the least . and for her to have to go thru endless interviews now, where they'll all ask about Rene ... I don't want her to deal with that for a long time. This album''s not about marketing and sales. It's just not, not primarily, not this time. If she did no promo at all, I would understand that, too.

 

As for the mini=tour, she's doing a tour because she loves to perform and people love to see her sing. I couldn't care less whether she sings songs from a new album or not. She could do an amazing show a hundred different ways, and it would have nothing to do with whether or not she had a new album out.

It´s not very likely she will come back to Europe especially now as we know she will be very busy in Vegas with her residency .... but it´s still possible 3weeks off in octobre not so much but who knows... she was in France twice in 2008 for example, first in january for promo adn then for tour.

This album is going to be very personal and intimate. I don't care if it's promoted or not. It'll be a gift for us that's for sure. Maybe she simply doesn't want to talk about it. Maybe all the answers will be on the album. Time will tell.... So let's just respect their choices. Celine doesn't owe us anything at this point...

There is no way she won't promote, three weeks off is more than enough, she will visit France, specially after the success of SA. But I agree the Vegas show really strains everything, I don't see the point of it anymore, why does she need to force her voice with so many shows (which clearly affects the condition of her voice) when she could do mini tours every now and then? I think it is the extra effort what makes her voice so raspy, not the emotion.. For all I care she could lip sync the whole show every night

For me, the biggest worry before René died was her pitch issues. I think it will take a while for her to get back in top shape after everything that's happened. But I think singing is better than not singing at all, it would have been awful if Celine had lost her voice like Shania did following her divorce.
