Something tells me we'll have news about the single this month. Maybe an official release. If not, then I won't be surprised to know the album will be postponed.

He also said that the new French album doesn't have a concept, it's rather a compilation of great songs that Celine loves to perform. She recorded the first few songs before stopping her career in July of 2014 and will finish the last details in March.

Well he doesn't say songs that she loves to perform exactly, what he says is "They are good songs, great songs, with lyrics that have a meaning for Celine and she feels good interpreting"

This is wrong on so many levels. To begin with, the album had a theme: There were songs about family bonds and loss, all showcasing a mature side of Celine. Vocally, the album followed a certain route: Celine gave restrained performances, avoided bombastic outbursts and played with the lower texture of her voice (The only exception being SJNRDT and maybe QPVSA). What is more, the production of the album is very consistent, the songs blend well together and this gives the result of a coherent album. The only song that - production wise - sounds a bit off is ''Tant De Temps'' due to its vintage sound (nevertheless, a great song about loss).

 

Sans Attendre had a clearer concept than D'eux, S'il Suffisait D'aimer and 1 Fille & 4 Types. It is only challenged by D'elles and Dion Chante Plamondon.

Releasing a single now would look a bit opportunistic in my opinion. We know it's not the case but that's how it could be interpreted...

PAMP had almost gone unnoticed until Celine performed it live in France during the promo in November. It was then the single reached its peak (#8). Exactly. I'd be quite angry with a few people on here if, assuming a single was released, they then starting moaning about lack of promo etc.

I think it would be better if things were to coincide with her live dates. Release a single a few weeks before, then the album maybe when she's there or just before.

I didn't think PAMP did that well until Celine started promoting it. Maybe I'm wrong.

And believe me, there are a few that would still be moaning. Sadly. Although I could be wrong.

I think the single should be released about a month before she starts her European shows, and the album should be released when she arrives in Europe (or a week before). Just her arrival in Belgium and France will promote the single and album. So no need for so many grueling TV shows.
