For me, the biggest worry before René died was her pitch issues. I think it will take a while for her to get back in top shape after everything that's happened. But I think singing is better than not singing at all, it would have been awful if Celine had lost her voice like Shania did following her divorce.

This is the worst case of raspiness Celine has ever shown! Of course you'd know about it!

the biggest surprise of the tour : LCMM summer remix of 2016

 

they should do release the album as late as June even if they have sth like 10 songs (I'm sure they have more though) and then they can release a special edition in autumn including more songs.

 

I don't want greatest hits tour because it's almost always a greatest hits tour.

Well, Celine almost did not sang songs from 1F4T, D'elles albums in 2013 concerts in France. It was only 5 songs from Sans attendre album and many old hits like LCMM, songs from D'eux etc... It's normal, they usually do so. No?

 

I think it will be the same thing - 1 or 2 new singles from next french album, + her greatest hits + maybe some classic like The Show Must Go On. It is only 25 songs in program - they can't take off MHWGO or PQTMAA or ABM, so... I can't believe that you will attend the show and then you may be sad because she sang her hits Celine is Celine, she is on top whatever she sings. I'm ok with no-new-songs for Paris, but i'm sure they will add 1 or 2.

 

We must understand that there are reasons for them to push off french album. It's not like "I don't want to do it now, so let's do it next fall" - they have their reasons. Can you imagine that they will release it now and Celine will make promo - do interviews, talking with press, do photoshoots?? She hardly could breath when she did feb.23 show in Vegas. She was magnificent but it's not easy at all. I don't want her to go through things like that now. It is too painfull for her to make album-promo in spring, and in 1-2 month it will not be better. Yes, she is very strong but she is not robot, you can see it is very hard and painfull for her. So let them do their best. They exactly know what they are doing and why. Her team will do their best i'm sure.

 

I really would love her to sing Immensite, Femme comme chacune, Le temps qui compte as well as Je crois toi or S'il suffisait d'aimer. To be honest, I love almost all Celine's songs so I will be very happy to be there nomatter what she will sing. Can't wait

True, but this tour was never publicised as an 'album tour', it was simply a series of shows referred to as 'Celine Live 2016'. In the francophone market, Celine will sell out regardless of whether there is an album due or not. I'm hoping this will be an opportunity to hear some rarer material.

I guess she will pick up songs from D'elles D'eux

I don't mind hearing the songs from "D'eux", After all it's her most popular and best selling French album. But it would be nice to reintroduce some old gems like "Les derniers seront les premiers", "Vole", "J'attendais" etc. Songs that she didn't perform long time. I doubt she will perform "Cherche encore" or "La mémoire d'Abraham" since those are the only songs from that album that have never been performed live and they seem kind of forgotten. It would be nice though...

So I say now is your chance! She could easily sing 5 songs from that album, 5 from SA, 5 from 1f4t, 5 from SSD, and 5 whatever she likes...

But seeing the shape of her voice at the moment, I prefer for her to take time. November is fine too for an album release.

Looking at her Vegas schedule in the fall, there really isn't a long break anywhere in there that would allow her to do all that much promo. I hope they don't shortchange this release with just 2 weeks of promotion and then go right back to all-English shows in LV. Would be a shame if this went down like D'elles...such a great album, but one TV special and little more beyond that (am I right?) didn't do that record any favours.

Its only temporary. Her emotion and stress got the best of her, and these things do affect the voice. Her voice before the recent passings were remarkable and stronger than ever. Even now her other performances such as RDMH, LCMM, Purple Rain, TSMGO, and Incredible are all powerful songs that she sounds crystal on. But you're right, even with the grit and rasp, (which she's always incorporated in the 90s till now) she still sounds better than her peers and younger competitors. Its amazing actually.

Seeing how D'elles is her lowest selling French album since 1987 I doubt they will go for a summer release. I think they will keep aiming at Christmas sales.
