More successful songwriters (or producers, etc.) can mandate that they'll only allow an artist to record their song if it's guaranteed to be a single (or they can get even more specific and mandate it's the album launch single, or the title track, etc.). When team Céline decided to move on to One Heart so soon, they may still have "owed" the HYEBIL songwriters its release as a single, and rather than delay the release of OH, they made the questionable decision to repeat the track on a consecutive album and use it to promote OH instead of ANDHC. Of course, they should never have agreed to make such an incredibly generic, boring song a single in the first place... Reveal or Naked would have been sooooo much better! And note that I don't have any inside information that the above is what happened in this case so don't take it as confirmed; it just wouldn't surprise me. HYEBIL was included on OH and released as a single because they were using it as part of the Chrysler campaign that Celine was participating in. Celine wasn’t in top shape vocally during this session - but she gives it absolutely everything she has and - as a result - it’s such a beautiful, touching, from her soul delivery. It’s definitely a standout in her English recordings. I’m sure she would have preferred to be in better vocal shape, but you can tell it meant a lot to her to give it her all. Quote

What on earth were they thinking? She could still kick #ss with her modern 2003 songs, even after IDAN. So much unused potential! I absolutely love Reveal, but I don’t think it would have been a successful single. I actually think releasing Have You Ever Been In Love was a good move. I think it’s a very strong power ballad, and it was a successful single. Celine’s lower register sounds really nice, and it’s exactly the kind of song the public craved from Celine Dion at the time. Sometimes I forget how well that song performed... and I think she should bring it back into her shows. I think her Oscars' performance is very good, but she did mess up a word. She sang 'seep" instead of sleep lol. And yes, someone took down the recording from Youtube. It was part of Quincy Jones' video blog, it was the first episode in his internet series. Maybe someone will find it elsewhere. 2 Quote

The Jay Leno version is probably the only exception....but nothing matches the studio version. The record version has the lightness in all the right parts....it seems that exact lightness in her voice was hard to capture later on. Quote
