By the way, that was Ben Moody not a David. And I want to hear/see the footage that the cut in between her saying "it's amazing" and then her starting to sing opera..... what did she mean, the song we're gonna do? Or had they already planned to have fun and do that opera song? i wish we had the unedited versio to find out. Because they were there recording Alone of course

Yes! It’s Ben not David. I think it’s just for fun since no songs from the album that has the same tune. Because after Alone, there’s another song that Ben produced and that was “The Reason I Go On”, you can even hear the song in the background. I know the opera song was just for fun, but presumably they did some playing before that. That's a good call it was likely The Reason I Go On. They must have finished very late in the morning!

 

This may have been the most fun Celine had in a recording studio, she was laughing her butt off!

Two of my favorite moments of her interview career came from 2007 and this press cycle. I love when she sings CNQR here and then when she sings "She Works Hard For the Money" on Ellen....her voice was so crystalline and stellar. Same with her UK X Factor Mentor moment.

We have over 50% of the pledges needed to reach our goal to obtain these recordings, but we’ve had slow progress because we can’t exactly make this public for everyone in the world to see... I made this video edit (with Laurence from the forum narrating) in hopes that we can make the final stretch ASAP and ensure that these iconic sessions are preserved by the fans - and not locked up in the Sony vaults.

 

The first two songs — “Is This What I Get for Loving You” and “I Want to See Morning with Him”— are essentially complete tracks running about 6 minutes each, and “What Am I to Do” is a demo recording with Phil that lasts about 4:30. There are also 2 alternate takes of “Is This What I Get for Loving You” with different vocals/orchestra tracks. (Other tapes exist and are potentially available, with several more takes of the songs as well as rare instrumentals, but we are currently focused on obtaining the first set of tapes that have these 5 tracks.)
