Like I said, "except for a few performances in the late 90s"... most of the time the notes are not as distinct as they are here. She usually does it too "speak singing" style, and she rarely hits the high notes as well as would be satisfying for me. Unless she hits the highest note well, I'm usually not captivated. I understand the desire but my (limited) knowledge of YouTube is that, the more comments a video has equals more engagement with the video equals the video being deemed as "popular" by a computer and just causing it to bump up in people's suggested videos. Probably best to just leave well enough alone and let it die out. A good rule of thumb, also: don't feed the trolls. The more you comment, the more they'll comment in return because they're entire point is to get people riled up and arguing with them. Take the higher road. Quote

I’ve tried to battle the trolls in some Mariah videos and I realized I was just fanning the flames. You can’t argue with an illogical person or someone who’s only goal is to win instead of learn.
