I was particularly proud to be a fan in early 2016, as Celine made her first appearances after Rene's death. She proved how strong she truly is. 2 Quote
PuraVida Posted September 30, 2020 at 12:13 AM Posted September 30, 2020 at 12:13 AM (edited) Okay not Celine, but Celine's idol I just recently started to listen to more of Babs, and she's quite amazing and has a very diverse genre range.....very interesting to imagine Celine singing some of these songs. I think Babs may be one of the few who has more breath support than Celine, lungs of steel! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBHjc7xJKyg Edited September 30, 2020 at 12:15 AM by PuraVida Quote

garçon Posted October 1, 2020 at 11:31 PM Posted October 1, 2020 at 11:31 PM So, the lambs are here in this video haha https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IStG32mZejI I was just about to post the same video here.I hope this contextualisation of the nasty and unnecessary comments by Mariah gets picked up by many people. We all know Celine was invited by Aretha to duet with her, just after Mariah had let her down. Obviously Mariah was very jealous of Celine. I have no other word for it. Just to set the record straight, not everyone knows perhaps: Aretha didn’t rehearse the show. By surprise she started to dominate the last two songs (Natural Woman and Testimony), diminishing all the head liners to stage props for more than 10 minutes during the second song. So, that was totally unscripted and awkward. FYI: on the official videorelease Testimony was edited, they cut a large part of it. Also, Aretha’s solo songs were cut from the audio release to compensate. It was not rude or inappropriate at all of Celine to take a short moment with Aretha; following her. Also vocally at that very moment. Mariah should not have projected her insecurities on Celine. 1 Quote

FIY was a decent hit in several countries and has also garnered a fair amount of streams. It was also performed on 2 of Céline’s tours (more than 100 shows). There are many others songs which are both better (although that’s just my opinion) and less known. Edited October 2, 2020 at 04:06 PM by Céline RO Quote The best is yet to come...
Ukrfan Posted October 2, 2020 at 04:37 PM Posted October 2, 2020 at 04:37 PM Her most underrated song? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8tWMCGRWr-Y My husband's favorite song of Celine. Cannot really say it is underrated, but I agree that it was underperformed. I really love Celine's whispering voice here, similar to what she used at the beginning of MHWGO. The music video is unusual and quite interesting. Her most succeful album was called after this song. I never understood why Celine ignored it for so long. I think it is quite an easy song to sing, and would have fitted AND very well. 1 Quote
smw Posted October 2, 2020 at 04:50 PM Posted October 2, 2020 at 04:50 PM Her most underrated song? I adore this song Transports me back to 1996 which was such a monumental year in Celine’s career. Falling Into You is the album that everybody listened to. 4 Quote

I think it's a very high quality song that shows a different side of Celine. What I meant by underrated is it should've been at LEAST top 20 in the US and probably top 10. It's also one of her most beautiful songs and one of her best, certainly of her English stuff. Not shoe-horned or cheesy. 2 Quote

It was a telethon to raise money - A list celebrities were manning the phones - it aired on all networks - so I'd imagine quite a few. I'm sure a google search could provide the info. Quote

But the song is a jingle for the hotel or the company that's having the party, one of the two. Not one of hers. 1 Quote
