But why? Is something going to change/is anyone really going to care if that occurs. All this "how many views does a video have" thing is so silly. I don't know mean to offend. I just totally don't get some people's fascination with the YouTube views on video. It's so meaningless.

Personally, it makes me feel better, even though it doesn’t mean much. Also, I get bored of always seeing the same number of views under the video so I like when it changes from time to time.

I like her having a lot of views because it means she is getting the attention that she deserves.

Plus, it validates your own fandom when so many other people like it. Not that anyone needs that validation, but it's a nice bonus.

Ultimate Tracklist for Courage

I have been listening to Courage a lot lately. It is a superb pop album. I love how it is really Celine's first studio album that has a clear theme and message that runs through it, rather than a collection of love songs (Miracle, of course, has a concept, but it was a totally different kind of project). Celine's vocals are superb and it's an English album where you actually feel that she truly feels the lyrics in a way that is similar to her French material.

However, when I listen to the record I listen to the copy I made for myself consisting of a slightly different tracklist. In my opinion, the bonus tracks are far too good to just be seen as "extra" and they actually add greatly to the overall message of the album. I actually think that the below tracklisting provides a much nicer experience when listening to the album as a whole as it presents all of the Courage recordings as a cohesive whole. A 21-track album (no bonus tracks) is long...but consider this Celine's double album :)

Courage

01 - Flying On My Own

02 - Soul

03 - Lovers Never Die

04 - Falling In Love Again

05 - Lying Down

06 - Courage

07 - Imperfections

08 - Change My Mind

09 - Say Yes

10 - Best Of All

11 - Nobody's Watching

12 - The Chase

13 - The Lover That I Lost

14 - Baby

15 - I Will Be Stronger

16 - Heart Of Glass

17 - Boundaries

18 - How Did You Get Here

19 - Look At Us Now

20 - The Hard Way

21 - Perfect Goodbye

Sometimes I wish Celine had the song catalogues of other divas, but then I remember Mariah has song lyrics like "why you so obsessed with me, boy I need to know..." or "i need you to get the f**k out" or

"touch my body

Put me on the floor

Wrestle me around

Play with me some more"

I mean...”Obsessed” was a top 10 (#7) and “Touch My Body” was a number 1 lol. I see what you’re saying, but they’re different humans and these songs fit Mariah’s persona.

Let's just say there were definitely some #1s she didn't deserve. I feel like in the 2010s, a lot of silly and dumb songs reached very high marks...like Miley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop" comes to mind. That was a #2 hit...

Great choices. I think it only makes sense to have Perfect Goodbye be the last song lol

I actually like "Touch My Body" a lot. It is a silly lyric but it's on purpose, it's supposed to be silly. Very fun song. I remember I couldn't get the melody out of my mind for months.

And, IMO, the #1 spot is not about the best song, with the best lyrics ou best production. It's about popularity. And the reason for a song to be popular it's not always quality. It might be because it's catchy, because it's fun or different.

Celine's #1s are the prove of that. They are not the best in her repertoire, she had far better singles that deserve this spot. But they were catchy.

I disagree, I think her #1s are in fact among the best in her repetoire. They are all classic pop songs, including IACBTMN which was #2. Which far better singles did you have in mind?

I get it was intentionally silly and stupid, but a song just being catchy and having sub-par lyrics is all-too-common nowadays. Studies have shown that pop music has actually simplified over time. There was a time when really good songs (all-around) were also #1s. They may not have been the best songs, always, but they were at least very good. Not just earworms that are here one day, forgotten the next.

Official behind-the-scenes footage from the photoshoot with the gold metal corse by Thierry Mugler

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhYUVM-p6Ag

I know she has always been very thin, not that it's wrong. I know it's her body, as long as she happy. But I think she looks better and younger with a little curves like in Billboard Music Award 2016's The Show Must Go On video.

Btw, how dare they use 'Heart of Glass' in the video but not release it as single. :giggle:

One of the best photos from the album!

Now it's time to release the Lying Down music video. Come on, please.

;)

Forget about it. It's almost a year. The video will never see the light of day.

man, this is what I was waiting for! But it comes one year too late. I think that this whole project with music and pictures becomes even more meaningful when you get to see the work behind it. These clips (all of them) should have circulated one year ago along with the album release, and not now. Still, I am extremely grateful and happy to finally see some behind the scenes action! An album release is nothing without proper behind the scenes videos. Edited by ryba

I've got the feeling that they are showing all these clips now (they recently posted an already known behind-the-scenes look at the Courage video) just to keep Celine under the spotlight in a way. Since she's on break now, this is probably Sony's way of keeping her "popular".

I know she likes her new muscles but she looked so much healthier with curves but yes, I'm happy if she's happy.

I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.

You’re right of course

Also, I had absolutely no idea that the metal plate she wore was vintage. So they got it out of a vault for her...whose idea was it? And who originally wore it?

Beyoncé. I don’t know if she was the first but she did wear it.

Yes, that's so interesting. And when you look an those pictures, you're like "oh well...nice pic", but you have no idea about all these details

The one thing I don’t get it why she chooses to make her skin so dark (probably by tanning) when she looks better with lighter skin and darker hair.

I think that was the program, while celine was on tour the videos were released little by little, to keep the album in evidence.

They should've done all this around the album's release. It would've helped the album and her exposure more than it's doing right now.

Well, it said it was made in 1995...so I assume it was worn around then. And Beyonce would've been too young to wear it, and she wasn't famous yet...not to mention it seems a little small for her.

She didn't start tanning until she got to Vegas, right?

Not really, she was quite tan in 1999. Like The Prayer performance at the Oscars. I think she looks better when she is tan.
