Céline RO Posted August 8, 2020 at 06:04 PM Posted August 8, 2020 at 06:04 PM (edited) 1596896016[/url]' post='2388754']But why? Is something going to change/is anyone really going to care if that occurs. All this "how many views does a video have" thing is so silly. I don't know mean to offend. I just totally don't get some people's fascination with the YouTube views on video. It's so meaningless. Personally, it makes me feel better, even though it doesn’t mean much. Also, I get bored of always seeing the same number of views under the video so I like when it changes from time to time. PuraVida Posted August 8, 2020 at 06:50 PM Posted August 8, 2020 at 06:50 PM I like her having a lot of views because it means she is getting the attention that she deserves. Plus, it validates your own fandom when so many other people like it. Not that anyone needs that validation, but it's a nice bonus. 1 Quote

Andy Man Posted August 9, 2020 at 02:43 PM Posted August 9, 2020 at 02:43 PM Ultimate Tracklist for Courage I have been listening to Courage a lot lately. It is a superb pop album. I love how it is really Celine's first studio album that has a clear theme and message that runs through it, rather than a collection of love songs (Miracle, of course, has a concept, but it was a totally different kind of project). Celine's vocals are superb and it's an English album where you actually feel that she truly feels the lyrics in a way that is similar to her French material. However, when I listen to the record I listen to the copy I made for myself consisting of a slightly different tracklist. In my opinion, the bonus tracks are far too good to just be seen as "extra" and they actually add greatly to the overall message of the album. I actually think that the below tracklisting provides a much nicer experience when listening to the album as a whole as it presents all of the Courage recordings as a cohesive whole. A 21-track album (no bonus tracks) is long...but consider this Celine's double album Courage 01 - Flying On My Own02 - Soul03 - Lovers Never Die04 - Falling In Love Again05 - Lying Down06 - Courage07 - Imperfections08 - Change My Mind09 - Say Yes10 - Best Of All11 - Nobody's Watching12 - The Chase13 - The Lover That I Lost14 - Baby15 - I Will Be Stronger16 - Heart Of Glass17 - Boundaries18 - How Did You Get Here19 - Look At Us Now20 - The Hard Way21 - Perfect Goodbye 4 Quote
CelinesDIVO5 Posted August 9, 2020 at 04:37 PM Posted August 9, 2020 at 04:37 PM Sometimes I wish Celine had the song catalogues of other divas, but then I remember Mariah has song lyrics like "why you so obsessed with me, boy I need to know..." or "i need you to get the f**k out" or "touch my bodyPut me on the floorWrestle me aroundPlay with me some more" I mean...”Obsessed” was a top 10 (#7) and “Touch My Body” was a number 1 lol. I see what you’re saying, but they’re different humans and these songs fit Mariah’s persona. 1 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay

I see what you're saying, but they're different humans and these songs fit Mariah's persona. Let's just say there were definitely some #1s she didn't deserve. I feel like in the 2010s, a lot of silly and dumb songs reached very high marks...like Miley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop" comes to mind. That was a #2 hit... Quote

It is a silly lyric but it's on purpose, it's supposed to be silly. Very fun song. I remember I couldn't get the melody out of my mind for months. And, IMO, the #1 spot is not about the best song, with the best lyrics ou best production. It's about popularity. And the reason for a song to be popular it's not always quality. It might be because it's catchy, because it's fun or different. Celine's #1s are the prove of that. They are not the best in her repertoire, she had far better singles that deserve this spot. But they were catchy. Quote

They are all classic pop songs, including IACBTMN which was #2. Which far better singles did you have in mind? I get it was intentionally silly and stupid, but a song just being catchy and having sub-par lyrics is all-too-common nowadays. Studies have shown that pop music has actually simplified over time. There was a time when really good songs (all-around) were also #1s. They may not have been the best songs, always, but they were at least very good. Not just earworms that are here one day, forgotten the next. Edited August 10, 2020 at 12:16 AM by PuraVida 1 Quote

I think that this whole project with music and pictures becomes even more meaningful when you get to see the work behind it. These clips (all of them) should have circulated one year ago along with the album release, and not now. Still, I am extremely grateful and happy to finally see some behind the scenes action! An album release is nothing without proper behind the scenes videos. Edited August 10, 2020 at 09:19 AM by ryba 2 Quote

An album release is nothing without proper behind the scenes videos. I've got the feeling that they are showing all these clips now (they recently posted an already known behind-the-scenes look at the Courage video) just to keep Celine under the spotlight in a way. Since she's on break now, this is probably Sony's way of keeping her "popular". 1 Quote Tournée Européenne in Paris (December 1, 2013)Céline Dion Live 2016 in Antwerp (June 20, 2016)Céline Dion Live 2017 in Birmingham (July 27, 2017)

PuraVida Posted August 10, 2020 at 12:44 PM Posted August 10, 2020 at 12:44 PM Beyoncé. I don't know if she was the first but she did wear it. Well, it said it was made in 1995...so I assume it was worn around then. And Beyonce would've been too young to wear it, and she wasn't famous yet...not to mention it seems a little small for her.
