Did you guys saw that billboard change it the rules for tickets + albums bundle? It will not count anymore for the charts.

 

Being a little dramatic, would Courage be the last #1 album for Celine on BB200?

 

Probably. Who knows what Courage would’ve debuted at without the bundle.

Actually, here's what Billboard says... so some bundles will still count:

 

Under the new rules, which will be implemented at a start date to be announced, all albums bundled with either merchandise or concert tickets must be promoted as an à la carte add-on to those purchases in order to be counted on the charts (i.e. a separate item added to a shopping cart on its own). Those included as part of a baked-in, single-price option (along with the merchandise or ticket), with the album cost undisclosed to the consumer, will no longer be counted. It is Billboard’s belief that the resulting charts will more accurately reflect consumer choice.

Yeah, I saw that. Still, in that rule, the bundle made it in Courage wouldn't count.

The way that her team (and her) seems to only care about the numbers, I fear we might not even get new albums from her anymore. At least not in english.

 

Again, a little bit dramatic, but at this point, who knows...

Was listening to Change my Mind today in my car and for the life of me I cant understand how this song didnt chart. I honestly dont get it. The song has everything.

 

At the beginning it wasn’t released as a single at all, and later only in the UK. It was also never promoted in any way. No music video, no performance, not even a mention from Team Céline.

 

Céline has many amazing songs which didn’t chart regardless of how good they are. Honestly, I would’ve been surprised had “Change My Mind” been even mildly successful.

The only thing I don’t like about “Falling in Love Again” is the fact that the vocals and the instrumental aren’t well blended together. The vocal is too loud and raw and feels like it’s layered on top.

I bet we’ll get a French album within a year or two. But I have no clue how her English career will proceed, apart from concerts. The charts have changed so much. Perhaps she’ll just do more one-off songs? Like Wicked Games.

 

I hope she will do some more BIG appearances at some point. Visibility is important. The fashion moments are fantastic — but she was so well received as a mentor on The Voice, for instance, that I hope she does more of that too. She’s one of the greatest singers of all time... and she needs to remind people of that sometimes.

I agree but there are so many great songs on the album (and all of her albums for that matter) that it’s very hard to choose a few “best” ones.

The album has 20 fantastic songs. It would be so simple to release a 1-minute excerpt from each of them daily and maybe at the end ... the music video for Lying Down!

She’s need a LOT of work to be an actor in a major motion picture. Unless she had a small role or played herself. And, even though, she’s said over the years that she wants to try acting...I don’t buy it. I think that’s just something she says. Like “the best is yet to come, eh?”
