Oh my God, you guys I'm losing my mind! As I'd mentioned before, 21 tracks was too much for me to digest at one time, so my "Courage" album consisted of Tracks 1-13 and 16. I held the other 7 tracks back. I suffer from chronic depression and anxiety and it's been really bad since the weekend. For some reason, I knew yesterday that what I needed was new Celine, so I listened to what I consider an EP titled "Heart of Glass" - I freakin' LOVE IT!! I can see now why people are clamoring to get more from the Courage album onto the stage. So many of these extra songs would work great live.

 

So my thoughts, in sequential order, according to my track listing (that I made randomly)

 

Heart of Glass

Track 1 - Heart of Glass - I'm not the biggest fan of Sia and Celine's Sia songs take time to grow on me (or not in the case of Baby) but I loved this song from the first time I heard it. It's a fantastic opening. I love the lyrics. I love the beat. I love Celine's vocals. I've listened to the entire EP 3 times through now and this song just keeps getting better and better. Would love this to be a part of CWT.

 

Track 2 - Boundaries - Love the melody of this song and love the use of her head voice. It's so soft and lyrical and a perfect song after Heart of Glass. It's been growing on me over the 3 listens.

 

Track 3 - How Did You Get Here

It's fun - not a super special track - kind of a filler - but the "doo wop" beat is fun and old school. It comes at the right time on the EP - it's something different.

 

Track 4 - Look At Us Now

I think it's my least favorite of the 7 tracks. I don't hate it - I don't think it would become a track I skip (like Baby) and it might grow on me over time. The beat/melody just aren't my favorite.

 

Track 5 - Soul

MY FAVORITE!!! I chose this as a "lead single" and have been listening to it since the end of May. I love love LOVE this song!! This is one I'd love to see her do live on stage. I think it would work awesome in CWT.

 

Track 6 - Best of All

I did not like this on first listening but it's really growing on me as I've continued to listen to the EP. The last time I listened to it, I was somehow able to pay attention to the lyrics more and they really got to me. The melody might not be my favorite but I think, after more listens, I'm going to come to the conclusion that the lyrics are stunning.

 

Track 7 - The Hard Way

Another one I didn't like when I first heard it. But it has absolutely grown on me over the 3 listens. I can already say I really love it now and I'm sure it will continue to grow on me over time. I don't think she could sing it live during CWT, like she had to drop Lying Down, but it's a great track.

 

Then I put all the "random songs" onto the album just to have them all in one place.

Track 8 - Ashes (Dark Intensity Remix)

Track 9 - Flying On My Own (Dave Aude Remix)

Track 10 - Recovering

Track 11 - The Show Must Go On

Track 12 - How Does A Moment Last Forever

 

Makes for a nice little album that I've got for my summer. The "Bonus Tracks" on Courage are definitely some of the best tracks and I'm glad they saw the light of day.

But yes, the fact that they never played around on social media with the largest viral moment she may ever have in her career (edited video of her rolling up the window on that girl singing) just goes to show how stupid they are. Maybe we should make a thread dedicated to their mistakes and discussing them lol.

Why would they play around with an edited version of the video that makes her look like a rude b*tch? Her team is very protective of her imagine and will stay away from anything makes her look bad even if it's a video that was edited for a joke.

It's called laughing at yourself. And for promo, you don't need to share the exact video, you can make a play on it and reference it to your own ends. She could've found the girl and recreated the scene in a different way, possibly handing her a Courage album within a funny a sketch or something. So many possibilities, c'mon.

So pointless.. why is it so difficult to make a real recording session like lets talk avout love, taking chances, s’il suffisait d’aimer.

 

They should have release it on itunes with the deluxe edition of the album.

What I can't understand is why they're leaving so much time between these videos. The first one was published in April, then another one in May and they waited until July to share this third one. If they're planning to share in-studio footage of the 21 songs from Courage at this speed, they could be finished by 2022

exactly, their effort is zero. Celine could have sung some quarantaine songs on request, bond with her fanbase. All we got is her little part in The Prayer and a stay home be safe video in her kitchen.. And then such a long time later they come up with this ‘recordingsession’ with the studioversion and a dancing Celine. Just like you say - i so enjoyed the Ltal and Ssda recordingsessions. You hear the producers, you hear her vocal takes, how they direct her and why which song and what they mean. To me these little videos are completely useless. And..come on..haven’t we heard Flying on my own way too often? It is already getting dated. This was the first song that was ‘promoted. Would have been interesting to see the hard way and the recordings of the song!

This new video doesn’t exactly blow my socks off... but at least these videos remind more casual fans to go listen to the Courage album.

 

It would be wise for her team to release something (anything!) that was previously unreleased for us hardcore fans. Putting the Taking Chances concert DVD on YouTube was hardly a treat for us huge fans who watch that concert regularly anyways. They need to give us something special during this crazy time.

 

Thank goodness Mr. Paganini found its way to us after so many years. I want a lot more...
