I think the chances that she completely neglect this album in the new year are higher than her doing a 2nd round of promotion

She can’t really promote the album while on tour. Our only chance of promotion is while she’s performing on the coasts where the National shows broadcast/tape. However, considering she’s performing at night, I can’t see her doing, let’s say The View or The Today Show or Good Morning America in the morning. And she’s got to be at sound check/performing a show when the evening shows tape/broadcast. She does have a few days off while on the coasts but those are to give her a day off from singing to protect her voice.

 

I’m afraid there’s going to be no sudden big promotional blitz nor even a small one. I think we’ve got what we’re going to get. They probably had all the promo planned when the album was released; however, she had to reschedule the Montreal dates and that changed everything.

It should have started a month after the album release.

A couple of weeks to rest would have been also a very good tour preparation.

It would've been great if right after Vegas they had released the album, like saying... we're saying bye to Vegas but hey! here's brand new music. Take a break, promote the album, some tv appearances, break and then start the world tour around november.

 

But well, nothing of this matters anyway.

The album is too good to go unnoticed. LD has grown a lot in me! It would be so good if LD became the TT of Courage album.

 

After hearing Celine's description of the music video I can't wait for it. If Mariah can achieve great success with a 25-year-old album, Celine will get a lot more 2 months after Courage's release.

 

Promotion and live performances of the new songs are essential.

I have celine three Times in the uk and have every album released since fiy including the french ones. Because you loved me played at my mothers funeral in August. She was dead at 58 of cancer. My father was then diagnosed with the same disease. What did he get me for Christmas? Yes celine tickets. So yes I’m a troll. A horrid troll. Be ashamed.

However, there wouldn’t have been as many tickets sold which would have resulted in fewer sales for the album. This is because the later she starts the tour, the later they can put the tickets on sale (around 5 months in advance for Céline usually) so if she would’ve started the tour around 5 months after the album release, they probably would have put the tickets on sale around the time of the album release and therefore the album wouldn’t have benefited from ticket bundle as much, therefore not securing it the number 1 spot.

Happy New Year everyone. Just saw Celine’s New Year’s resolution about her tour.

 

If I may Celine, your new years’s resolution should also include finally getting a manager. I know you don’t think you need one but the disastrous roll out of one of your best albums in decades is proof that someone needs to push you to promote your records (as you never really liked doing it) as well as to push your record company to up the promotion budget a little more too. René before passing understood this and put a plan in place, even though it did not work out. I don’t think René or a new manager would have you in New York for a week and not actually have you sing one song on TV!

 

Touring, though very lucrative, is not enough to promote a record, especially when you only sing two songs from it. And not everyone believes that you should sing the same 10 songs for the rest of your life like Wendy Williams does.

 

You already became almost irrelevant camped out in Las Vegas for almost 20 years. A lot of us fans, the ones who have been around forever were so excited about this release and then frustrated and disappointed that it was completely ignored after a few weeks of very poor promo. It felt to many of us like: ok, album finally dropped, next...

 

I know times are different for artists and no one is expecting your records to sell like before or your songs to be played on the radio but perhaps someone with experience should be handling the business side of your career.

 

Then again, that’s if you care...On my end, I’m still enjoying listening to Courage.
