scielle Posted April 23, 2017 at 02:54 PM Posted April 23, 2017 at 02:54 PM This interview was so badly edited! But was had me on my nerves is that guy interviewing her. He was kind of... creepy? Yeah... and she's so unguarded, she'll open up to anyone. And with folks like this, she only ends up exploited. I really wish she were more discerning in who she chooses to do exclusives with. 1 Quote
angelil78 Posted April 23, 2017 at 03:53 PM Posted April 23, 2017 at 03:53 PM Well first off, it's 2017 and it's almost obsolete to use a laptop these days, in the age of tablets and phones. She also has a 16 year old son. And just because she's performing her older songs, doesn't mean she wouldn't be into listening to some newer music. obsolete to use a laptop?? I always use a laptop at home and then phone on the go. Most people I know use laptops at home. Sure she has a phone. Definitely saw her taking pictures with it at RC's hockey games. Oh yeah she has a phone. We have seen her with it before. Once at a restaurant with her sister and just last year in NYC walking out of a hotel talking on the phone. I'm think that when she says she doesn't have a phone, that she's not spending her time on the phone, on various apps or online like the rest of us. She uses the phone for calls. Yeah... and she's so unguarded, she'll open up to anyone. And with folks like this, she only ends up exploited. I really wish she were more discerning in who she chooses to do exclusives with. True, she's very unguared but how often in the past year has she said that being an open book, has helped her a lot with the relationship between her fans her herself. She wants to be open. For me as a fan, I like it. But sometimes find it scary that tabloids and haters will use it against her. 3 Quote

Most people I know use laptops at home. I didn't mean it like that. I still use a laptop at home sometimes too. However, with tablets and phones, which most people are using for everything these days, laptops are less and less used. Even the computer companies have started making laptops that turn into tablets. Personal computers are slowly on their way out as technology advances. My point was that, for Celine to say she uses her laptop for music...and not her iPad, or iPod...was not strange to me, because laptops are in fact a bit behind the times in this technological climate. Ok that's a better explanation. I was suddenly feeling very old haha. But it might be easier for her to use a Laptop. Specially if you aren't very technical inclined like Céline Quote

Javito Posted April 23, 2017 at 05:47 PM Posted April 23, 2017 at 05:47 PM I see more people using laptops at work and for leisure still than tablets. Especially for multimedia purposes because of the better graphics/audio they can provide. 4 Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

I was using a tablet since my laptop has a big screen, no way I'm travelling with that. In Paris for the summer tour, I'll bring my laptop to have at the hotel 1 Quote

CelinesDIVO5 Posted April 23, 2017 at 10:55 PM Posted April 23, 2017 at 10:55 PM Laptop and PC sales are only just starting to meet even ends with tablets and smartphones again. I didn't say that people don't use Laptops and PCs anymore. I simply stated the fact, yes the fact, that mobile and portable devices over the last 7 years have been much more popular than that of the personal computer. Especially when it comes to multimedia, such as music, movies and television. Moreso for the convenience of the device itself than the quality it produces. Celine uses a laptop to listen to her music, while the majority of the world keeps music in their phones, or portable listening devices. As to not have to carry a big laptop around with them. It's not common these days to hear someone say "So, I fired up the ol' laptop today to listen to some tunes." A lot of people have either docking stations for their iPods, or Bluetooth speakers to connect to whatever device their music is stored on. Therefore, hearing Celine say she uses her laptop to listen to music, just goes to further her simplicity when it comes to technology, where most people are not using PCs or laptops when they solely want to listen to music. 1 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay

Taking Chances Posted April 24, 2017 at 07:14 AM Posted April 24, 2017 at 07:14 AM This whole laptop thing is funny. It reminds me of when I used to carry a discman (or walkman?) to school everyday. I always had Celine's CDs in a folder in my backpack so I could carry them all with me. Aw, simpler times. I remember this so well because A New Day Has Come had just been released and the CD was copy protected. So I couldn't import it into my computer. 2 Quote

Now there are so many choices. But I'm soooo loving my Spotify! And not having a discman/walkman anymore. Never going to miss it, never! Even though I only listen to Spotify, I will always buy the physical copy of Célines cd's. Always! I have the Deluxe version of EUS and will buy the Deluxe verison of the next English cd (if they have it) But yeah I remember the ANDHC and the protection ugh it was sooooo annoying! lol. Unisono Posted April 24, 2017 at 04:24 PM Posted April 24, 2017 at 04:24 PM I really hope in the new album there will be some beautiful piano driven ballads like the ones in idina's and lea michele's latest albums... They're full of emotion even though lea's ones are quite simple but have amazing climaxes. 2 Quote

Lea's battlefield is written by sia if I remember correctly and it's a masterpiece... Everyone could write great and not so great songs. Maybe I like them cause these are not so happy songs. I like drama. I was thinking about thankful while listening to lea michele and I though that thank to Celine we have a big chorus at the end of the song... sometimes I think they don't spend the right time producing her songs. We just need good production, a great album that flows from first song till the last one, something with a good direction with a decent balance between uptempo and slow songs, like Taking chances and ANDHC 3 Quote #FREEJAVITO
smw Posted April 24, 2017 at 10:47 PM Posted April 24, 2017 at 10:47 PM Excited to learn more about this new album. I assume it will take shape mostly after the new UK tour is completed. Vegas and the tour rehearsals will be taking up most of Celine's time these days. They should bring back the best of the best when it comes to folks who have worked on Celine's past albums -- like David Foster and Diane Warren and Aldo Nova, etc. Then throw in some new collaborations like Sia and Adele and some new producers who would demand a lot from Celine. I really want to hear a lot Celine's beautiful TONE on the new album. Her tone has such pretty essence (think: Beauty and The Beast, Seduces Me, The Reason, etc.) The edgy "Granny voice" tone that she's been trying out on the past couple English albums isn't my favorite. 5 Quote
jpatdeleon09 Posted April 25, 2017 at 02:41 AM Posted April 25, 2017 at 02:41 AM I think she's having a problem now with "O". It's not strong like it was used to be. Like when she belts with ending with O sound it will sound like a bit A like she's eating it. Most noticeable in "Ma Faille" before the chorus.. Maybe her accent is just getting thicker Quote

Maybe her accent is just getting thickercan you just stop talkinf about Celine french or québécois accent, it is tiring , you know nothing about french. , don't know about the sounds, making an O résonant is practically impossible , because it would be an open O , not pretty in that case. Ma faille is different , not because of the accent but the way she sings it, with a modern touch, like Zaho. 6 Quote Plus qu'ailleurs , but now Si c'était à refaire , i still love tant de temps....
