Early 2007 photo. Yup! She did use a botox obviously and looks natural. If she maintained it up to now. This is still her look. Like J.Lo, Mariah, etc.

 

Did her voice gets weaker? Her taking chances tour was great. Her voice were in top shape.

I think when you have an opinion you need to back it up with arguments, instead of trying to validate it through generalizations.

Am I the only one who doesn't believe this and takes that comment with a grain of salt?

 

Why something tells me that she's only saying this to pretend she's cool and aware about the trendy names out there? There's something odd that makes me sceptical about Céline listening to all these people, and then performing the same (boring) old songs from 20 years ago in Vegas Because if her musical tastes are sailing among these ALL heavily radio-played names today, there's something wrong when she doesn't translate this musical preferences to her own music and shows. Just saying

 

It's like listening Barbra Streisand say that she listens Twenty One Pilots, The Weeknd or Katy Perry 24/7 at home and then she comes back to her Broadway show of American classics for the umpteenth time. So contradictory.

Sia has written three songs for Celine? That's amazing. I haven't seen the whole interview yet, but I've read through the last few pages here. It's been a lot to catch up on.

 

I think it's great that Celine works with Sia again, but this time I really need Chandelier 2.0. I truly love Sia, but her music is either amazing, or horrible. For example, Diamonds is a great song, but Perfume is crap. There's such a big variation between her quality when she writes and/or produces songs for someone else. So I hope these three songs will be something like Chandelier.

 

I don't really have a problem with Celine being a fan of Adele, and it was cute when she first started talking about Adele a few years ago, but she really needs to stop talking/singing about her in every interview. She could have said something short and sweet like: "Everyone know I love Adele, she's great." And just left it there. Celine is undeniably a so much better singer than Adele, so I don't even care that Adele isn't responding. Maybe it's because she knows Celine is better too, and doesn't want to share because she won't be the best singer if they did something together.

 

Now she comes with 3 more Sia songs that will come to light in 2018 at the soonest, but people has been collaborating with Sia since 2011. But maybe she'll have a crush now with Ed Sheeran or whoever is trendy now and will get a song for an album in 2020, when the hype with all these trendy artists has gone long ago probably.

 

She needs to be quick and anticipate her collaborations, songwriters and producers the moment they're making noise in the industry, not 5 years later as they've been usually doing. I hope RC gives her a hand with this and pushing her to work with the current names the moment they're fresh in the business and not years later when all the industry and radios have moved their eyes onto other names

She had released solo music before with mediocre success at best, but she started to become more famous when she wrote songs for other people and collaborated with other artists. Like David Guetta with Titanium. Her "solo-rebirth" to music came with Chandelier and 1000 Forms of Fear.

 

My favorite song from Sia is Breathe Me, and I listened to it long before Sia became popular. And I wouldn't mind something like that for Celine either.

 

And when it comes to working with whomever is popular, quality is always better than working with "in the moment" singers that is forgotten tomorrow.

But most artists were already collaborating with her and demanding to have her name in their albums before Chandelier exploded in 2014

I don't think this album will be built around Sia's songs.

 

If she gave her name away that soon, I don't think she and her team have found what they are looking for as first single. And it wasn't too risky to name a previous collaboration. I think she keeps a lot of surprises secret 🤗

 

Beside that, Céline has never released 1st singles that sounded like the previous one.

 

But I wonder if those 3 songs are the 3 songs she mentioned already last month.

Well first off, it's 2017 and it's almost obsolete to use a laptop these days, in the age of tablets and phones. She also has a 16 year old son. And just because she's performing her older songs, doesn't mean she wouldn't be into listening to some newer music.

Yes she does contradict herself lately. (Or maybe her tastes are just changing) However I believe she has had an awakening. Or I want to believe that she has. I think now since Rene's passing and especially since she is managerless, she may feel that she has to be more "plugged in."

Why on earth can't she listen to all these artists? Doesn't mean because she likes Justin Bieber or Ed Sheeran she starts singing their style of songs. It's like saying just because Adele likes Nikki Minaj, she'll suddenly have the next album spitting out Nikki Minaj-style rap.

I agree that Sia had a breakthrough as a solo artist with Chandelier, the questions for me is: did she give away any hit material since then? What can be considered as a hit material is a matter opinion of course, I like Bird Set free and Alive for example, they were supposed to be on Adele's new album but didn't end up there

I just hope, anyway, it's different for Sia with Celine and she wrote someting special

Sia kind of became the person to work with after that. I think she's going to be that person for quite some time actually. Hopefully, these three new songs that she wrote will stand the test of time. Not to be too dramatic, but I loved She Wolf when it was released, now, I kind of hate it. When the beat drops, it's just too much. Too repetitive and very time limited. It basically is Titanium 2.0, and I loved it at the time, but the reason I loved it was because of Sia's kind of slow hook, not David Guetta's EDM s*** all over again. Too bad Sia never made a stripped down version of those songs. She performed a broken down version of Titanium though.

 

If Sia made a mid/slow tempo version of those songs without the stupid EDM music, they would be even better.

Vocally it's totally doable for her live... thematically it is right in sync with her life at the moment... genre wise it has WAY more of a pulse that I'm Alive (the current clap and sing along version of that is embarrassing!)

Well, The Sun is the kind of editorial trash that'll sensationalize anything they possibly can. Which is why I'm perplexed why she chose them. High circulation, sure. But it's the sort of scum that'll only lead to exploitative headlines that only get worse and more twisted as other media outlets pick them up and further misinterpret what it was that she actually said. And the fact that her English tends to go off he rails a bit when she gets emotional doesn't help. Ripe for the pickings of tabloid press.
