I have NO clue how to Watch videos on Spotify. My doesn't even have animated covers. I feel like I'm 80+. Doesn't it work on computers? Or do I have to have a special account?

I guess you refer to LTAL? Biggest in sales? Yes. Greatest album? I don't think so. Biggest in sales doesn't mean greatest

 

LTAL got her the biggest sales to a great extent because of MHWGO and the smash Titanic single included there, in the middle of a boom with a blockbuster movie. But not because it's one of her greatest albums. It's full of random songs, covers coming out of nowhere and songs that don't fit at all with the others. But that's just my opinion.

 

Once again, I absolutely agree with you, Jav! Well said. I consider LTAL one of Celine's worse albums in the 90s. I LOVE some of the songs (LTAL, TR, MHWGO, Us , Immortality, THLAL), but I totally hate the others. They either do nothing to me, or even makes me cringe (IHYTILY, I am talking about you ). And they do not work together at all. Furthermore, I do not really like the album cover and photoshoot in general. I think the only reason that album did so great was because of My Heart Will Go On. I always think how many copies of the single would have been sold if Sony had not included the song on any albums, and released more than just 2 million (? don't remember the exact number) copies in the United States....

I think LTAL is a really classy album. Remove the cringy bits THLAL and IHYTIL (and make the lyrics in LTAL less banal) and it would had been all perfection!

Just so it’s her crystal clear voice from when she was 30 yrs old mixed with Adele 30yrs old voice.

I am putting all my hopes on new sound and creativity on LD and Aoki, so I truly hope they've made a clear impact on the album (and not gone all Guetta!).

 

We still don't have info about tracks written by Skylar Grey, LP, Jon Levine, The Stereotypes, Steve Aoki and Freddy Wexler.

Her 51 yo self can sing circles around 30 yo Adele....Don't necessarily dislike her, but her voice is so...one-dimensional...

The only thing I can find in regards to Adele is that she was writing/recording new music and that she hope to have an album out around Christmas 2019. If I go to Google or her official page, there isn't anything confirming an actual release date, etc. Until something official comes out, all of these "reports" are just speculation. And there's no reason any of us should be getting upset over speculation.....yes I realize what I just wrote and where I am :sofunny:

 

I love Adele and I'm excited for new music from her too. But....one thing at a time....

I can't believe I am defending sony but they have done a whole bunch of rights so far with this album (well except previewing both FOMO and LD long before they ever released them). Getting FOMO for the summer parties, the EP this fall (a wonderful move), Imperfections - having a long awated new fresh sound- is/was being well promoted (by Céline standards), we have gotten a new quite good music video for it and another for LD is on its way...

 

Sure releasing along with other big names are a huge let down (if it's true) but the promo team/sony is doing of late does not "stink beyond compare". At least not to me, and I don't see the world of Céline through pink glasses. They have done a lot of rights this fall (except the ridiculous setlist). For once I have some sort of trust in them. And I don't think it's fair to shame them when they are actually trying this time.

 

I disagree. Celine is on the cusp of her Celinassance being full force...she's performed on big events and stages and caught the culture world's eye since her last release...and people know it's her first release without Rene.

 

She is a media darling, and this will probably be her last great epic vocal album...and yet her promo team//Sony stinks beyond compare. Such shame!!!!

I just love Céline's guts to do this. Trying out new things, no duets, only brand new material, 20 songs, releasing an EP. Kudos to her. Courage is shaping up to be a worthy successor to her Magnum opus ANDHC.

That doesn't make any sense either to exclude "Ashes" and put "FOMO" instead just because it's newer. I prefer a good song (even cover) than FOMO. And FOMO as the opening song is even worse... it might fun for some but that's it : fun. It's no way on a opener level.

 

Natural Woman was recorded in 93/94 I think and ended up in a 96 album.

I've never heard anyone complaining ( beside of course the soul lovers who think she destroyed the song lol).

I 100% agree with that. FOMO is not opening material. I was surprised when I saw they put the song as the first track on the album. It's more something to be in the middle of the album, or at least the second track.
