zuv Posted October 11, 2019 at 03:03 PM Posted October 11, 2019 at 03:03 PM I guess you refer to LTAL? Biggest in sales? Yes. Greatest album? I don't think so. Biggest in sales doesn't mean greatest LTAL got her the biggest sales to a great extent because of MHWGO and the smash Titanic single included there, in the middle of a boom with a blockbuster movie. But not because it's one of her greatest albums. It's full of random songs, covers coming out of nowhere and songs that don't fit at all with the others. But that's just my opinion. Yep, your opinion. I love all the songs on there.... like i really do.. The ReasonImmortality Why oh whyTell himA spanish songMiles to go, great poeme! Us!!!Just a little bit of loveMHWGOLets Talk about love Loooove all these songs... even the one i didn’t mention. Her voice is crystal clear. Her most pure and powerful album (along with FIY and TAST) But yeah MHWGO certainly helped her out.... its not what made her famous though. 4 Quote
Taking Chances Posted October 11, 2019 at 03:08 PM Posted October 11, 2019 at 03:08 PM Well, who cares, anyway...Even without Adele competition, Celine would have, what? One week of exposure, at tops (based on LMBTL release)?A little bit more if it was #1.And that's it. The fact is that not much is lost, if this it's true. Just be glad that we will have a Celine album, after all this time, with 20 new tracks. As much as I want Celine to do well and do great on the charts and all that, it's not gonna make any difference (I think) at this point in her career. After this album, the next (English) album will take however long it takes regardless of how well this one does. So I don't really think Adele releasing her album at the same time is gonna have much impact on anything other than charts, which I don't care about. It's just a bonus if it does amazingly well. I do wish Sony wouldn't deliberately do this though. 2 Quote

Because you dont like duets that doesn't mean that someone that does is has weird petitions. A duet is a beautiful marriage between two artists... Some of her biggest and my favorite songs are duets. The Prayer I'm your angel... Nobody is saying she needs Adele I'm just saying I would like to hear her sing with Adele think there voices will blend well together and they have similar ballady style so they are together able to create something as great as when you believe or tell him... 5 Quote

I think Ashanti (who was like the biggest act at the time) came out with her album - Then Taking Chances. This time it was Alicia Keys - Then Loved Me Back to Life against Eminem - And now Courage losing to Adele? If only Sony had the decency to move the release date up or down by even just a week or two... Then all these four albums would have gone to No. 1 and Celine would have 8 No. 1 albums under her belt. Nando Férri Posted October 11, 2019 at 03:26 PM Posted October 11, 2019 at 03:26 PM I’m still very curious about her mid/uptempo songs. I hope they are gonna sound great and current. My hopes on Aoki (I hope he won’t come with a ballad like David Guetta did). 2 Quote http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m4ejungtQy1r9swpco6_250.gif
ryba Posted October 11, 2019 at 03:30 PM Posted October 11, 2019 at 03:30 PM (edited) yeah, I wonder what Aoki had to offer and if it will be one of the bonus tracks on the deluxe edition, or a song on the standard version. I don't like his Ashes remix, so I'm a little sceptical when it comes to his song, but I hope that i will be pleasently surprised Edited October 11, 2019 at 03:31 PM by ryba 1 Quote

It's not as if she'll push it back like for months. She'll just move it down or up by JUST ONE WEEK. That will make all the differennce. In fact, if she moves the release earlier, say, 4th week of October, then there wouldnt be a "delay"... Instead, we will have a much earlier present. Currently there are no big releases on the 3rd or 4th week of October... So thats the best date to move up courage's release date. Edited October 11, 2019 at 03:58 PM by marc-02 2 Quote

fred Posted October 11, 2019 at 04:06 PM Posted October 11, 2019 at 04:06 PM I don't listen to that song often. But I agree it's a beuatiful song. And one of the few times Céline dared to experiment with her sound. I love it. Not everything needs to be a powerballad-high-notes-orgasm. This soft sound suits her nice as well. Not single material, but a mighty fine closer indeed. 👍 I can't understand the hate SOLA receives from so many people. To me it's one of her best closing tracks, it is beautifully produced and her voice is haunting. It's up there with ALPHB. But to each their own 1 Quote Peace and love to all.
nowanorris Posted October 11, 2019 at 04:16 PM Posted October 11, 2019 at 04:16 PM Has anyone actually found any concrete evidence that Adele is releasing an album next month before Celine? I have found nothing on her official website and nothing on Amazon. If she really is, well...we can complain all we want about how Celine has handled promotion in the past, but Adele has not been promoting anything at all thus far. LOL In fact, the very first thing you come across on her website is a photo album of pics from Wembley 2017. Her site needs a serious face lift. Unless there is a surprise album drop planned, I can't seem to find anything which really leads me to believe there's going to be any competition next month. 1 Quote

CelineDionFreak Posted October 11, 2019 at 05:08 PM Posted October 11, 2019 at 05:08 PM Oh wow!!! This is great news. I do love all the song titles and I feel like this will be her most personable album to date. I can tell she’s really taking charge because all of the song titles sound like they mean something directly to her, which I can really get behind. I’m so excited to hear these and I am so ecstatic that we are only a month out! This is great. I’m interested to hear the 2 other Sia songs. I know she’s known for writing a multitude of diffrent styles so I’m sure they will be great. 6 Quote I didn't know love until they loved me back to life because somebody loves somebody!Le temps qui compte pour Celine est maintenant!
smw Posted October 11, 2019 at 05:16 PM Posted October 11, 2019 at 05:16 PM Let’s hope Adele holds off on releasing her album. I do think there’s a chance Celine’s album could still have its moment to shine — but I’d rather Adele stay out of the way for now. The only way I can see Adele releasing her new album is if it all drops at once — her album / videos / updated website / etc. All on the release day. So we might not know or get any hint until it happens. Regardless, I’m thrilled about the track list for Celine’s new album!!! All new songs! Ashes would’ve been a great addition but it had its moment and it can still be a part of her shows. Hoping PMLALS is Lovers Never Die. We shall see! 4 Quote

isurrender Posted October 11, 2019 at 06:06 PM Posted October 11, 2019 at 06:06 PM (edited) Wait, is this going to be the first Celine Dion album with ALL brand new, original songs written for her??? No covers at all?? That would be ground-breaking news now Amen dude. Finally making some common sense here! Because people can be so tiring and clueless sometimes, making no sense. I too cannot figure out how fans can be asking at this stage for these songs to be on the album when it's been 2 and 3 years already since they were released. It's just a bit of common sense before asking things that don't make sense... For once that we're apparently getting an album with all new songs, and people is asking for old songs released 3 years ago to be in the album. Right :doh:We need thouse precious 4 bonus tracks, which are a well deserved gift to fans after all these long 6 years, to be also brand new songs! That doesn't make any sense either to exclude "Ashes" and put "FOMO" instead just because it's newer. I prefer a good song (even cover) than FOMO. And FOMO as the opening song is even worse... it might fun for some but that's it : fun. It's no way on a opener level. Natural Woman was recorded in 93/94 I think and ended up in a 96 album. I've never heard anyone complaining ( beside of course the soul lovers who think she destroyed the song lol). Sorry but your way of thinking doesn't make any more sense. smw Posted October 11, 2019 at 06:07 PM Posted October 11, 2019 at 06:07 PM I just listened to Recovering again for the first time in a long time. I'm going back through a bunch of Celine songs as I prep for the new album. It's such a simple beautiful song. I loved when she included it in the Vegas setlist. How lovely that Pink was so moved by Celine losing Rene that she sent her this song? That shows a lot of class. Part of me was mentally prepared for a lot of these songs -- like Recovering, How Does A Moment Last Forever, The Show Must Go On, etc. -- to be included on Celine's new album. But they have really surprised us so far! Loving the titles on the track list, loving the roll out of songs, loving the music video! 4 Quote
Popular Post smw Posted October 11, 2019 at 06:13 PM Popular Post Posted October 11, 2019 at 06:13 PM FLYING ON MY OWN -- lyrically -- is actually a perfect album opener. Clearly Celine feels like that is THE song that represents where she's at right now so it was a choice that she made with purpose. And it's a feel-good song similar to how LOVE CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS opens the Celine Dion album, even though that album is incredibly mellow and dramatic compared to such a big bang opening song. I'M ALIVE was also such a nice, lively surprise to open the A NEW DAY HAS COME album. Celine took her sweet, sweet time to craft this album. This will be HER album from start to finish and I'M LOVING IT. 9 Quote
