i still can't believe they actually released that album. the greatest singer putting out a live album that sounded like that. oh wait a few years later they did it again with the taking chances world tour live album...

You guys need to remember that Celine is getting old. She's not 25yo anymore.

Her voice will change no matter what.

 

In order to keep her voice in a perfect shape, she'll need to exercise so much harder than before, for more period of times, and she probably so tired to do that right now.

 

She's 50+, she got a family to take care of, her whole life is in her hands with no one to share... It would be so much effort that, in the end, wouldn't place her in a spot any better than she is today, career wise.

 

It's just not worth it.

Depends on which fans you're referring to. The fans of the 90's-00's Celine or her current ones? Criticism is fine and more than welcome, but when we get to the point of insulting or dismissive comments and posts, it stops being either. It's ok to want some improvements here and there. It's not ok to want her to change and become another person (or her "old" self).

Except no one here is like Rene because no one knows her personally, and he would never approach her the way some fans have talked about her. Do you think Rene would tell her she looks ridiculous or pathetic (actual words that came from fans) for wearing an outfit he didn't particularly like? Or tell her she isn't an artist just because she doesn't write her music? Or calling her lazy because at 40 years into her career she isn't maintaining the same schedule she did when she was younger, or disappointed in her because she's gained new interests other than music (as of she owes us anything). How about questioning her friendships as if we have any say in who she should have in her life or not?

 

That is not constructive.

What I find very interesting is that people find fault with everything and I mean everything she does or shows. And the complaining goes on, like my heart ,on and on and on.....

Please, I am not saying that she is perfect and that people don't have a right to voice their opinion. Of course they do ! But either they compare her to other people, which she isn't, or they compare her to younger Celine, which she isn't again. I think it's funny that people say she must do this, or her voice is wrong or not ok. I wonder , is that based on their great success and experience in the field? I mean Celine has been doing this since she was 12, and Rene , I am not even going to talk about the experience he had. Rene critcized her every day almost , but she always said that he knew when and how to do it. I have the feeling that sometimes people enjoy finding fault. I for one admire her, I may not agree with everything she does, but if she is happy , more power to her!

All. Rene is also a fan. And he’s the biggest critic of Céline since he’s the manager and a fan too. We’ve been following her since 90’s so any changes that happens of course we fans can react whether it’s good or bad. It’s just sometimes i thought they’re going consistent. Because everything is perfect before. It’s like instead of improvements... it’s not. It’s like they’re moving backwards.

 

That’s what i’ve noticed. Again, we have different opinions. Even cirtics have negative say with what they’ve noticed. - it might challenged them to be better in the future.

I'm sorry to know some supporters wrote these awfull comments about her. Imo, as long as it's done with respect, it fine to share one's feelings if something feels not too fine with her. celine has always sounded a bit nasal, but that is her voice!

Only time i really noticed is in the live cd from las vegas. I did not like it. But she still moves me, love her voice and maybe she should work on the English pronounciation, because i often cannot clearly hear the words she is singing,

But like you say - i love those extra runs in Ashes and in mhwgo and also love fomo.

It’s because i once a filtered fan lol I don’t want to see negative comments about her that’s why before if i saw something negative posts about céline i automatically say ah this is a mimi fan lol then i’ll fight them. But now, some are right. Like Javi. It’s really annoying to see negative posts but in the end you agree because now you noticed/realized those complains are true. My top 1 complain is the production. I really hope they step up this time. I mean, she’s céline dion a legend. One of the richest people in the world then when it comes to the production it’s getting cheaper. It should be like A New Day like production. The best! Because she’s also known to give the best concert not just because of her voice but in everything. They’re moving backwards. I really like the production in A New Day-TCWT. Everything is perfect. The quality, visuals, stages and many more. I just thought they’ll be consistent or even more better. That’s why as a fan of Céline i want her to be the best. If she needs a new creative team or whatever team she needs that will make her even better on stage why not? She really needs a great manager to handle this things.

When you start reading 1 good post and then 9 complaints, you kinda lose the desire to be here. Have you notice how many actual members this forum has and how many of them are active in general? Have you notice how rarely new members join and how many of them are real new fans of Celine and not just double accounts and old fans? Have you any idea what image this forum projects about Celine, to a real new fan? If you are a new follower of Celine and come to read what is being written here, you'll end up losing interest or even respect for her.

Then, if you think it’s not then for you it’s not. That’s why we have different opinions. I have the right to say whatever i want to say about what i see and hear about Céline and her work since I’m a fan and I’ve been following her since i’m a little kid. So, obviously there’s a bad and good comments to say. Even if we’re not around her, we can still say what we want in this forum of what we like and we don’t like about Céline. Again negative comments are always present in forums. Negative comments are also good to have an opportunity to make changes to be better and might learn something as well.

Then, if you think it's not then for you it's not. That's why we have different opinions. I have the right to say whatever i want to say about what i see and hear about Céline and her work since I'm a fan and I've been following her since i'm a little kid. So, obviously there's a bad and good comments to say. Even if we're not around her, we can still say what we want in this forum of what we like and we don't like about Céline. Again negative comments are always present in forums. Negative comments are also good to have an opportunity to make changes to be better and might learn something as well.

 

I'm doing this on a daily basis? Really now? Please review all my comments again if all my posts are negative every time i post here.

 

People leave this forum because there's nothing to talk about. Not because of the negative comments. You know why some leave this forum for good because of some members who are bully to other members, fighting other members).

 

I don't know what kind of forum you're reading on but I don't see "daily" negative comments in this forum....

This forum is filtered. I guess not all posts are welcome only "positive". Is that even a forum? LOL that's worse. At least we're just being honest. Céline likes real people who are not afraid to say what's good and bad.

 

Well, from what I've noticed being here for so long in this forum.. i'm observing members here too. in the end you'll end up agreeing to those negative comments and be disappointed as well if there's still no improvements lol

the thing is the repetition, no need to say the same thing again and again. Not all people are suffering from amnenesia and short term memory loss. . There should be a limit of times that someone can repeat his "opinion" . i'm forced to add new names to the ignore list because when i feel that someone has notting new to say or that this is a new incarnation of the same old, what is the benfit for me to read that and losing my time, You think you need to repeat the same drivel , but people are saying they are tired to read that. Is that a matter of expression or a lack of undersatnding?
