nuts2you Posted January 30, 2019 at 11:40 PM Posted January 30, 2019 at 11:40 PM Now I'm wondering if she will tour the states with this new album , It's been something like 10 or so yrs for US 2 Quote
browseceline Posted January 31, 2019 at 12:09 AM Posted January 31, 2019 at 12:09 AM According that last interview she clearly does what she likes to do, not what fans expect her to do. She started working along with Nunununu, she likes to visit Paris each year to wear expensive designerclothes to look fierce, feminine etc and new music does not have her interest anymore. Vegas is still priority number 1 and she has to do those shows until the end of this year and then the concert in London, which I think will be ala 2017/2018 setlist with a few surprises. All in all, when you get to see Celine these days you will get her golden oldies forever and some new covers, that's it. Nothing we can change about it, that is what she wants to do and I have a feeling that she does not care that much about this new album. It is not her main priority at all. If she is happy this way I applaud that but on the other hand, I wished she really took chances or at least cared more about new music. Maybe when Vegas ends she will do some unexpected things? 1 Quote <iframe width="640" height="390" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/hl2XkxnYljg" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I somewhat agree, but we have to remember as celine fans how spoiled we really are. If Celine only had an english career and we got an album in 2012, 2013 and 2016 would we still be complaining? Its more than what most current pop stars put out today. We should just be glad that she's releasing new music this july. We also don't know if she's not excited, maybe she just doesn't want to make promises yet. Remember, this is her first album where she is the one making the majority of the decisions. After 26 albums, this is her first time. So I wouldn't be surprised if music questions get her stressed because she doesnt want to disappoint 4 Quote
Nmj Posted January 31, 2019 at 03:09 AM Posted January 31, 2019 at 03:09 AM I think too many of you allow all of this anger over things you can’t control to take over your lives. No amount of bítching and complaining is going to change how the wheels turn. It is what it is. The more you harp and allow yourself to be overly angry, the more miserable you’re going to be. We all know what the situation is right now, and we have no choice but to accept it and wait for whatever she’s going to give us. I think you’re confusing “controlling” for frustration. I have so much going on in my life that even if I allowed anything Celine did to control me, I wouldn’t have the time for that. However, as a fan of her it’s very frustrating to see her team take the lazy way out things time and time again. And before anyone comes with “Celine have us fans so much, and she doesn’t owe us anything” line; that may be correct, it’s just when you see other management and labels have artistry when it comes to their decisions and adjust to the times and changing business it becomes old when one of your favorites seems to stand in the same spot. Just my thoughts. Nobody has to agree. 6 Quote

Maybe by pure luck initially. But now the name Celine Dion is not seen as pre-2016. Hope it will translate in streaming numbers. 2 Quote
mirage Posted January 31, 2019 at 07:49 AM Posted January 31, 2019 at 07:49 AM (edited) Can you imagine?! Just without any notice? I think I would go insane haha, I normally have my rituals when it comes to listen to a new album of Céline. I will need to change it all up Like she said it herself, the industry has changed. I think they know very well what to do. I really hope Sony will do a proper job at promoting this album, but I have a feeling they will just do the right amount and not any extra. So fingers crossed that The Boss Céline will do what she likes to do. Since all the eyes of the press are already on her, I think an 'surprise release' would be a great option. Have you ever heard about "surprise release à la Beyoncé". Well, "industry has changed a lot" as Céline said. An album could come out tomorrow as next Fall. Moleque20 Posted January 31, 2019 at 08:56 AM Posted January 31, 2019 at 08:56 AM Well good luck with 16... 14 is far more likely. And again, fo a legend, 6 years is not alot. We Celine fans were spoiled so now that its slowed down because, lets face it, everyones career does, we take it way worse. I mean older Celine fans went from having 10 albums in the 90s to 6 albums in the 00s to 4 albums in the 10s..... its actually nowhere near as bad as many legendary artists who go upwards of 6 years and yet only have one language to sing in, Celine has english and french, so realistically if we look at it, Celine never goes more than 3 years between albums, an exception being 2008-2011 for obvious reasons. SA was 2012, then LMBTL 2013, then EUS 2016, now the new album 2019.... LMBTL had 15, right? Anyway, 15, 16, or 14, it doesn't matter that much as soon as we have 100% brand new material! 2 Quote Les étoiles tombent une à une. Mes émois sont de saturne.

mirage Posted January 31, 2019 at 10:28 AM Posted January 31, 2019 at 10:28 AM True that! But I don't think they really have an idea how to work with this new interest in Céline Dion. Anything she does/ says makes news and it's all overwhelmingly positive - she can do no wrong. Would be good timing - winding down of Vegas will get some press, and then London, and I suspect a few other one-off shows she might do this season. Quote

She lost all her momentum on fashion magazine covers during the summer tours. She lost the Steve Aoki moment and the chance to do a collab. Celine hasn’t lost any momentum.... for me it’s been building and she has released 3 songs and remixes for ashes.... Celine isn’t a new artist who has to sell one off singles to get her name out... I agree somewhat it’s taken way too long but I can’t say they don’t know what they are doing when Celine is literally everywhere right now. For far too long Celine was ignored musically due to the fact she wasn’t in the media (because of Vegas that you have pointed out countless times). Every album promo spent time asking where she had been despite her working her #ss off. Now she is everywhere and I guarantee the excitement for music is there more than ever especially for new fans and the general public who are now hooked.
