Positive things:

 

-Celine has already hinted that she has a lot of options at her fingertips in the future...!

 

-Ashes is Celine's biggest English song in YEARS. The views on YouTube are very impressive, and it's introduced Celine to a whole new audience.

 

-The Vegas show was a delight this past run! The "new" setlist was an unexpected surprise and both Celine & the audiences seemed extra into it!

 

-It's the holiday season! Celine Dion has one of the greatest selling holiday albums of all time. Let's listen to it and try to remain positive.

 

-The Vegas shows in December are always fun. She usually has a few surprises up her sleeve for the audiences during these shows. Can't wait to see the videos!

 

-After 15 years, Celine is going to end her residency in Vegas in 2019. She's a huge part of Vegas / ENTERTAINMENT history. Truly iconic. I hope she soaks in every single one of her remaining shows. I'll be there in March!

 

-Celine has confirmed that the new English album will be out in 2019!!! Hallelujah! Her voice sounds divine on ASHES so I'm very excited! A spring release would feel so fresh and good.

 

Lots to be HAPPY about and THANKFUL for! Before we know it, she will announce another tour and a French album is surely on the horizon. Who knows, perhaps JJG has been working on some material.

If that's considered a success why do people consider LMBTL a flop when it sold more?

It didn't sell like Celine's 90's albums but nowadays albums don't sell nearly as much as they did, do they?

I guess the problem with her sales now is that they haven't longevity anymore. Albums from the 90s usually had good steady sales for a good year. Now a new English (!) album from her only has good sales for what? 3 to 4 months?

 

Of course this also has to do with promotion... and we all know why the promotion for LMBTL stopped.

 

Anyway for her to have an album that still sells well after half a year, they'll have to invest in good promotion throughout a period of time. Not only in the 2 weeks of its release.

 

Now with no vegas deal... hopefully they'll do that this time...

Nobody is saying that Maria's album is a success. And LMBTL was released in 2013. Since then streaming has taken over.

Well, if it's one thing that Celine does really well.... it's sell tickets, right? She's been one of those artists that people actually really love to see perform. As far as I know Celine has never struggled to sell tickets? (I hope I'm not mistaken about that)

 

Celine should totally bundle her new English album with tour tickets. A lot of artists do it these days to boost sales, so why not? That way her album sales would probably skyrocket if she launched a tour like she did this summer and last year. Just sayin'.

 

Celine may not be able to compete on Spotify with Taylor Swift and whomever else, but she can outsell them.

I spoke to him a few weeks ago and he confirmed to had been working on “multiple” songs for the album and called them “Exquisite”.

 

I’m glad he’s taking his time, they aren’t waiting on him or else he’d been done by now, so he’s better off taking his time since clearly the label and Celine aren’t in any rush.

I saw yesterday in instagram a photo of celine in the study, she was in long golden dress, sitting in a chair recording, is it for the new album ?? I searched again today and I did not find this photo, did anyone else see it ?? They deleted the photo.

And that's maybe a good reason to release the album only in 2019: they may annoince a North America tour after Vegas. The album bundle would benefit the first weeks sales.

 

As it is unlikely she will be streamed heavily, a tour is the sole option not too bad first weeks.

Yes. A few weeks ago I messaged him through Instagram asking him how many songs and what can we expect from them, he didn’t answer the part of if they were uptempo, ballads what genre etc BUT he told me to stay tuned he’s very excited about them; said he’s “working on multiple songs” for her new album and called them “Exquisite”.

 

So by “multiple” songs I’m not sure what that means BUT it definitely means more than one. Usually multiple is more than 2 as well or else it would be a “couple” of songs instead of “multiple” who knows... I’m gonna probably guess 3 songs.

Yeah, I agree. I think Declaration of Love would be a great replacement for either River Deep Mountain High or Love Can Move Mountains in her live shows.

 

Ive been listening to it a lot lately, and I just love it even more than before if that's possible. As I age with the music (my god, what an old thing to say) I'll notice new things about songs that I've heard a thousand times before. I love the way she sings this song, and I kind of hope we can get something like this on the new album.

 

I just hope whatever the new album is, that I'll be addicted to it 20 years later.

I believe that her insinuation was that the single woukd be released just before or the day after performing it for the first time.
