I hope it’s better than anything she wrote for own album.

Imagine “we got something they don’t” sang by Celine it’s a beautiful song.

Why is everyone bashing Shania all of a sudden?!? She has always supported Celine and is a fan herself!

Thanks GOD that Celine doesn't follow this forum (hopefully) ... And thanks GOT tha those unhappy gus here are not her managers .. because they are all have great negative opinions about everything, but in reality the wouldn't be able to actually managed anything.

Guys .. she is NOT your daughter ... you admire her (same as I do) because I choosed to, not because she made you do so.

Give her a break and be happy that she is still on the TOP!!!

and feeding the negative comments and illuminati conspiracy believers by wearing a shirt with all seeing eyes all over! Why Celine...is there nobody in your team who adviced you to wear something else instead? Sometimes.....

Well if people are stupid enough to believe in this stuff, let them talk.

Well Celine just followed Elton on Twitter.... you know what that usually means....

I wouldn’t mind a duet with the both of them... in fact I think I would please both fanbases.

I love Shania. I just personally didn’t like her latest album. The songwriting skills were definitely Mutt Lange’s.

Actually, Shania was the main songwriter and Mutt was mostly responsible for the production and lyric "corrections"/changes.

It's just different times and different subjects (and different muses)...

Do you think Shania gave her some advices on how to delay an album for 15 years? 😁

that‘s a really good one :D :D :D

The problem in Shania’s last album is more the voice than the songs. A few are actually very good. But nothing compared to the ones her husband wrote. Still I’m sure we all love her.

I think the lyrics on her latest release are blah.

They almost look as if these albums had been recorded by different singers.

Just like when Celine has “A song For You” & “ Fade Away” are on the same album lol...

Sounds like Streisand and Kelly Clarkson songs on same album.

Oooooooooo! I would LOVE a song written by Shania. Perhaps even a duet.

I really enjoyed a lot of the songs on Shania's new album. She's totally capable of writing a fantastic song for Celine's new album -- and Shania's been talking about wanting to focus more on writing vs. performing herself due to her vocal issues. This would be the perfect opportunity!

However -- as a lead single, I think Celine should still try to duet with someone like Adele. That would gain some HUGE attention from audiences of all ages.

Didn't Shania write the songs and Mutt produced them / co-wrote a few of them? I remember her talking about the songwriting experience for a lot of those amazing songs.

I agree. I don’t what people say, I think a Mariah Carey written song as a duet with her would be amazing!

It’ll also probably make peace between the two fan bases and help the song have a huge success.

Mariah no longer has the voice to match with Celine in a duet.

Well, then hopefully she writes an easy song lol

Ahhh, regrets of the 90s, I don’t know why someone didn’t make a Celine, Whitney & Mariah collaboration happen. Imagine them three voices on a 4 minute track, would’ve probably been the most successful song EVER lol.

They should have done the cover of “If You Could Read My Mind” for the movie “54.”

Yeah!

I think even the cover of “Lady Marmalade” would have been fantastic with them three!

Nothing against Christina, Pink and Lil Kim ... but no contest if you had Celine, Whitney and Mariah.

The only song I would love to hear Mariah sing with Céline as "When You Believe" (with Céline obviously singing Whitney's parts)..

A little more hints here and there wouldn't hurt.

Or a bit more info about the album, the mood etc.

Anyway I hope those 'projects' are for her music career. Not her clothing handbag sunglasses perfume restaurants businesses. :giggle:

Not saying what those things are when they aren't fully confirmed or finalized is better than if she talks about them and then they don't happen or are delayed. Then people would be complaining about that.

I'm happy to know she has many projects to look forward to because one of the worries we had was that once Vegas ended we would not hear or see much from her. From the sounds of it, that won't be the case, and that's really good news imo.

I mean no offense but I don't understand many on this site. You want Celine to surprise fans with releases but you also want her to reveal her plans, then you don't want her to say things that don't end up happening but you hate it if she says nothing. She can't win lol.

I wish wish she’d collaborate with someone who isn’t over 70 years old, no offense but the Stevie Wonder left me underwhelmed and I love Stevie but that song isn’t that great in my opinion.

By the way; What a slow day on the forum, what’s going on everyone’ stuffing their turkeys? Lol

A penny for your thoughts, fellow Celiniacs...

There’s a lot of Mariah bagging on here and yes she writes a lot of those headlines herself, but what is UNDENIABLE is the success particularly of her singles in the 90s. From Vision of Love to One Sweet Day (pretty much) we had a husband-produced, ballad train that was incredible. Then once she was without her husband (yes I know very different reasons) she started doing what she wanted and we got (in my opinion) the greatest MC song of them all, Honey. Hate on her all you like, but we all know that right, wrong or different, Mariah does whatever the hell she wants and for an almost 50yo woman in a society that is ageist, I love that.

So why am I mentioning any of this? Because we are about to see the rebirth of Celine Dion as we know her.

I dare say she has deviated her direction on this next album many times because what happens next marks the next true next chapter in her career. Will there be an RnB vibe? A dance vibe? More ballads but perhaps more contemporary production? Collabs with unexpected producers/artists etc?

All I wanted for Christmas (pun intended) this year was to be sitting in the glorious hot Aussie sun drinking a cold beer and blasting Celine’s album on repeat... but if it’s going to be truly awesome and the BEST REVIEWED ALBUM OF HER CAREER then for that I am happy to wait (and check this thread every other day.)

Time to chime in peeps! X
