The album will definately be not released in January.

 

Either March-June or Sept-Nov.

Yeah doesn't seem likely. But wouldn't be surprised if something special is scheduled for that week.

I don’t trust this Chloe girl. I’m taking her word with a grain of salt because she’s a reporter, not anybody even remotely related to her team. She’s taking what Celine said and adding her own spin to it. Finishing doesn’t always mean releasing.

The only thing that gives me hope is that for the last 10 years she hasn’t really wanted to talk about her new music but instead goes on and on about her family life.

 

I think Rene took care of her career more when it came to English and with French she still feels a connection with the songwriters and producers and I’m guessing Rene is the one who had the “friends” on the English side and made it all happen.

On the one hand Celine seems to get excited with new music - she LOVES talking about “Ashes” and she loved “How Does A Moment Last Forever” - yet whenever anyone mentions a new English album to her it really seems to touch a nerve. Strange.

Everything will fall into place... And I truly think the general public WANTS to hear new English music from her. Not just us hardcore fans.

Meantime, her first English album in five years is expected to drop around January 1.

Am I the only one who heard she’s till working on it and could be DONE by the end of this year or early next year ? Where do they get Jan 1 by early next year I have no idea Jan- April could be considered “early next year” lol. Also sounds like it’ll be finished by then NOT released.

 

Only after a Celine interview can we watch it and be more confused then before the interview lol.

That's exactly it. She interpreted it wrong.. Not that Céline was that clear either (though if a manager would be present, he would probably say something more definate)..

I think Céline is very insecure about this album and I don't blame her!

 

When she recorded EUS René probably heard most if not all songs from the album and still give his seal of approval.

 

Now she has to do it all on her own for the first time in her life. Pick the song, do they go together, do they bring out the best in her, is this what the record company want? No matter how big the team around her is... there was only one person she trusted blindly and probably the only person who told her like it was. René always took care of the business side of her career and now that's (partly) on her shoulders. That must give her lots of stress.

 

I would not be surprised if this is also a reason why it's taking longer than they initially anticipated.

 

I know Céline is smart and strong enough to make the right decisions and release a killer album! We just have to be patient.

I just kinda feel like shes a little scared.... her first album truly without Rene. Her first english record in 5 years and shes doing it alone without her husbands input so it wouldnt surprise me if shes been getting RC to come in to the studio when hes free to ask him what he thinks.

 

 

I genuinely feel that she doesnt want to disappoint anyone and that shes...... worried almost ? Worried that it will be seen more as a woman carrying on after a grievance rather than a strong independent woman living her life

It's not that it's directionless but maybe because the main objective of this CNN interview was to promote Celinununu. Anything she says about the album would take attention away from Celinununu.

My instinct tells me that she’s just not ready to talk about it. If you interviewed Beyoncé a couple of months before Lemonade came out you would have hardly got an answer.

 

I think when the album is finished, has a name and a release date, then she starts to get very excited to talk about it. I think she’s aware people are waiting which is why she was happy to answer the question for the interview but keep details brief.

 

Side bar: Backstreet Boys are releasing their long awaited new album on Jan 25th. That wouldn’t be a bad idea for her... capture some 90s nostalgia market?

She seems bored to talk about HER highly anticipated new english album 😱😱

She seems more focused about her random activities than on her WORK..

After all, she's a SINGER, not a businesswoman 😨

All I hope is that the album is gonna be as strong as "Falling Into You" and as diversified as "Taking Chances" 😍 perfect combo!

She could sing a song with them for the north american market and the same song with Take That for the Uk! Or better, Gary Barlow should write a song for her and sing with her. This would make her and him the most beautiful couple in the world!
