The hardcore fans don’t want to look for another artist, that’s ridiculous, they want their Celine. They just wish she would have more competent people on her team that would guide her in a better direction. That’s all. No one expects her to figure everything out on her own. That’s why she has a team that gets paid tons of money for basically doing nothing. One example: Celine doesn’t even have to move a finger for her tours to be released on DVD. But no one came up with the idea to release already filmed material. Why? They are obviously sleeping! Or nobody cares. She needs a new, passionate, competent and modern team that is much more fan oriented. That’s my opinion. Bring Aldo back. That man did amazing things. He made Celine present again. But that's the whole thing, what's "their" Céline? Every fan loves Céline in his/her own way. And Céline herself also changes and isn't the Céline she was in the '90s or any other period. So what you call "their" Céline is not reasonable. If "your" Céline cannot provide what you truly desire...what's the use in keep complaining/hoping it will go the way you want it to go/be?

 

And believe me, her team has figured it out and they have ideas. But for reasons unknown to us, they're not doing it. Or they're opting to go another route. As stupid as it may seem, what may be simple to us, might not be as simple (or worthwile) for them. And yes, "not caring" could very well be one of the reasons.

Once more: this is what she wanted (and wants), she has more people than herself to think of now, it's simply the best of both worlds. If she really doesn't want to do it anymore, she won't, and there's nothing and no one (René) stopping her anymore. Again... accept the fact that she will probably perform in Vegas for the rest of her life and career. Too hard to handle? See above.

 

Oh I accepted that a long time ago already. Probably after 2010, once I saw her second coming to Vegas. Then I understood her attachment to that place would last forever

 

I learn to accept; I don't give up accepting anything she does nor the most lame excuses she gives sometimes to avoid answering why she hasn't done this or that (when she said she'd do it the minute before). That's pretty different

 

I accepted she'll stay forever in Vegas; I don't buy when she (still) says her mantra "the best is yet to come", because it's not being true so far. I don't buy her teasing us with pictures in the recording studio 2 years ago and then not saying a word anymore about a project as if we were stupid fans. I don't buy her when she's asked about a new album release and she playfully avoids answering the question with a labyrinth of other stories that don't answer what she has been asked.

 

The "best is yet to come" might have been for a personal territory (I won't even question that), but for a professional point of view, "the best came long ago"

And that’s lacking big time, and they keep all the great materials locked.

 

Celine is an internationally successful artist with incredible achievements and a great career, and it’s due to her fans that always supported her and still support her. They should respect her fans more and treat them better, please them in different ways.

we all want more, i think. But i accept what she does at the moment. Maybe easier for french fans , since we got something great with the french album. Ashes is pretty good, but at this point it is just titillating and we want more...

I was lucky to experience Celine's peak in the 90s and Sony was a part of it. We all know that Celine and Rene were old school in the music business.

Never change a winning team/formular. I doubt that Celine will ever leave her " Sony family".

But Sony needs to change the attitude to treat her like a cash cow/ has been (with her English music). I think they make a great job with her French music. Many people still buy CD's/DVD's.. A DVD from the recent tour would be great.

Celine needs better promo in the social media (youtube, facebook...) from Sony/Team Celine.

With the joking aside, no one knows when the "real" first single will be released. No date has been officially released about when her next English album will be released. Someone on the board (if you read 5-10 pgs back) who has connections within Sony, said they are not planning on releasing Celine's album till next year. So take that bit of info however you want.

I would be more patient if they would start opening that vault and release the stuff we know they have ie 2016/2017 tours and do anniversary cd sets for her 90s albums would be lovely!

We all love her so much, and we all have our favorites, our wishes that we would love to see get fulfilled.

 

And it's frustrating that we know about a few things, like filming the shows, thousands of pictures taken during the tours, working on a album. And the complete lack of communication whatsoever.

 

It's true she has nothing to prove, but what we see from her is that there is soooooo much more to see and hear from her. And that she still has a certain drive for things.

 

But I'm sure she is not surrounded by the best people at this moment to keep up with how things work these days.

They did a great amazing job in the 90's but it's time have someone fresh in the team.

The idea is to create expectation and buzz to later this year release the English album in total surprise? Or are they simply lunatics?

The eyes of the world are again on Celine and she does not take advantage to promote a new release?

I do not understand simply because there has already been a lot of time to think about a concept, to choose composers, songs, to test new sounds and to record the album.

This being said, I still believe in a new album this year!

And about promotion.

 

Sarah Brightman is releasing her new album in the fall.

She is going to record a TV / cinema concert with songs from the album prior to it's release.

Fans can buy tickets and get special treatment such as a group picture, first listen to the album etc etc.

 

It's a different artist with a different fanbase.

But things like this make me wish Céline's team/Sony would be that creative.

Watching that televised concert in Tokyo that Celine did recently gave me a big boost of enthusiasm for her upcoming projects/career etc. but I'm honestly getting bored with looking up this thread everyday for any news of new music then finding nothing... It would be nice to look forward to something new for a change since I don't really listen to music from this decade (unless it's LMBTL of course lol).

She's everywhere in the summer and then goes into hibernation once fall rolls in...

It's disappointing, really. There was so much momentum last summer, after her Parisian fashion parades. And this summer, with her Instagram getting serious props. And then nothing.

There was more then enough time to finalize a record - nay, two - since they started talking about it in 2016.

I'm suppose there's a reason... but man, it sure is hard to figure out!

 

And like someone already said earlier, while I'd love a surprise, I don't think Celine is the kind of artist who can risk a surprise release like Eminem or Beyonce... not enough of her public is on top of it, active on social media, etc. (We might be, but a bulk of those physical CD buyers aren't.) Sigh.

 

Or maybe she'll surprise us all and jump out of an Easter egg at the premiere of Xavier Dolan's first English film at TIFF tonight....NOT.

Then again even during AND, she managed to release 2 english albums (3 if you count One Heart (most were ANDHC rejects but some were newely recorded) which was recorded during the process of creating AND) and 2 french albums and promote them (except Miracle)

If they continue like this, her fans will simply lose interest. And that’s what’s happening with me right now. First I was mad and now I simply started losing interest. This is pure ignorance towards the fans.

The point of the tours this summer and in 2016 and 2017 was “to earn big bucks”?! I’m sure the fans in Asia and Australia who hadn’t had a tour anywhere near them in 10 years would disagree.
