It was said everything through 2019 was planned with Rene before he died. I won’t truly get excited about anything Celine does until after that timeframe. That is when we will all start seeing the choices she has made without any immediate influence from Rene.

Come on, do you really think it’s René’s will to wait for this album 6 years, for a 2019 release??? If it had been for René, we would have TWO English albums released by now since 2013! (and the tour DVDs probably too) Remember he was the one insisting in having the machine rolling all the time and getting new releases every 1-2 years, and Celine was the naysayer! Your post started very good and realistic until you mentioned the 17 or 20 tracks thing, and the DVDs

Not that funny though. i have been a fan for years and she used to make albums like A new day has come which had a lot tracks. btw after working on an album for so long i expect more than 10 tracks. and considering the french show was recorded - they should release it..

In the end it's all about the money...and if AEG/Feeling don't want to invest/put money in it, it won't happen.

Of course she can force it to happen (she has all the money and the power), but would Céline do that ("they'll know better" she'll think).....?

I'm all for a spring release too. Otherwise, past Christmas it'll be "bye, bye, faut que j'm'en aille".

 

That would make more sense - IF she ends Vegas at that times. So she can can promote the album on TV & Tour.

Especially if Netflix pops out a documentary/live tour by the end of 2018... That would be keeping on building the momentum.

A nice continuum before a new single early 2019.

The hypothetical live DVD of the Vegas show could even have some of the new songs... but when would it be wise to release it?

As for a surprise release... still possible, but I highly doubt it. She's not Beyonce or Eminem. Who would care? This album will need some major promo tour to score big! Okay, Ashes was a suprise and it worked: but thanks to one of the biggest movies of the year.

Ashes was a success not so much because of the song itself, but rather thanks to the Deadpool marketing strategy (which is widely understood in the industry to be exemplary and is often held up as an example of brilliance in the field).

Last weekend, they showed a four hour docu about Whitney on German Free TV. It was very good. I wish they would do something like this for Celine (maybe the Netflix docu). with the release of the new.album.

Celine also appeared in the Whitney docu. She told how much Whitney influenced her and that her first English-speaking songs,which she sang as teenager in French shows, were Whitney's songs.

to be honest, when you compare the tour stage and lights with Vegas, Vegas looks really boring and I think when the setlist does not change it is a waste of time and money to make a dvd registration of it when you already have live in Tokyo 2018. Because we can be sure that show will be released on dvd and bluray soon or at least this year.

That's the mystery. It's profitable to go. Heck she's been to Mexico and Jamaica which did shock me, lol.

It's something we have to ask Celine.And she certainly would fill the arenas there! They adore her and are very passionate.It's just such a shame she hasn't been in her entire career! Maybe Pepe will influence her enough to get the ball rolling at least.

Yes. Where the heck are these DVD releases!! They filmed last summer and nothing. Nada.I just don't get it!

I can only hazard a guess that the lack of DVDs is purely a commercial decision. It doesn’t really make sense though as the AND, TC and TTEOTW releases on DVD all sold really well and Sony know the majority of Céline’s fans prefer a physical release. We know they filmed the concerts so I can only guess one of two things have happened since - either Sony don’t think a DVD will sell so won’t release one or Céline’s team are just not interested enough to take the initiative to make and release one.

yes me too, maybe they havn´t released the 2016/2017 tours, because they will make a boxset with all three tours 2016/17/18...

keep on dream along... please is there something big for us soon
