to be honest, when you compare the tour stage and lights with Vegas, Vegas looks really boring and I think when the setlist does not change it is a waste of time and money to make a dvd registration of it when you already have live in Tokyo 2018. Because we can be sure that show will be released on dvd and bluray soon or at least this year.

Why do they keep releasing the worst date? Remembering Boston for TC Tour? I can't even listen to that one (though the Montreal recording is a slight improvement).

I like that you guys are so optimistic (I was very optimistic in the past too) but I have to say that I don’t believe in anything being released anymore, and my opinion is based on the experiences as a fan during the last couple of years. They screwed up wherever they could, they even cancelled the Making of DVD for EUS. I don’t even hope anymore, because it only brings big disappointment. Just wait and take what they give us... (stupid, I know... but if we only could share our ideas with them and get in touch. I wish we had a way to get in touch with them. Zuv, your idea is awesome! They should hear you and do what you said!)

 

Why not release all 3 tours in a package ALONG with a mini album of the new songs that she recorded already!!!! It’s all about pleasing the fans, so what’s the deal? Do it!!

 

And then do another English album for 2019/2020

 

Gosh, we have so many good ideas, why doesn’t her team put this into practice? We should tell them somehow. You have the contacts of relevant people so let’s write them

I love the optimism too, but at this point, I’d be shocked if the new album is released in 2018.

 

I think the best bet is that we’ll get the Tokyo show released to Netflix with a 90 minute “Making the Tour” documentary. Additionally, they may decide to release “Through the Eyes of the World” with “Taking Chances: The Concert” and “A new day...” with the behind the scenes documentary that was included on the DVD.

 

A new Christmas album is highly unlikely.

We also have to remember that since the beginning of 2017, Céline had been suffering from the inner ear problem which likely caused issues in the studio. I would expect that she and the team may not be happy with the product, and are reviewing what to do next.

 

Also, the Vegas contract is likely playing into the decision.

 

I’d honestly rather that they waited to make an announcement on if they are going to go forward with the new album as already recorded, completely scrap it and start over, or do something else - rather than the debacle that was “Water and a Flame” turned “Loved Me Back to Life,” and the multiple changes in direction and delays.

She has 2 managers (3 including herself) but the problem is that her current team doesn't have a vision, they lack enthousiasm, motivation and ambition. They also still live in the "old music/entertaintment bizz" and don't want to take chances (pun intended) and move their state of mind to 2018. The possibilities are endless, but Céline needs new blood around her. She (still) wants to do so much, but Céline needs guidance (Pepe has been doing a good job, but it has to be taken to the next and much higherlevel). Realistically, Céline doesn't need it all and can just retire.... but the the glow in her eyes when she discovers something new or meets her peers, etc, proves she has a lot more to offer/give. If only the people around her wouldn't hold her back....

They live so very much encapsulated in the 90s. You just look to the way they do things, and they insist in employing a formula that it's way too old, worn out, and it's not serving her anymore: the way they release albums -waiting up to 6 years to complete and release one instead of releasing EPs and individual singles-, the way she performs in her tours... The production of her tours and shows itself is a vivid image of the 90s and the old formula in which they do everything. Minimal production, same songs year after year, but the machine won't last much more rolling like this.

 

If Céline wants to do so many things and has many ideas (something that I arguably question in light of events), that doesn't suffice: she needs an excellent team and record label behind to channel all those things, and is interested in her, and supports her. And she's clearly been missing that since at least 10 years ago with Sony Music.

 

And let's not forget, what's most important about all here: the reason why she's still doing what she's doing.

If she's entering the recording studio, she needs to ask herself: "Do I really want to do this? Do I really want to record a new album? Do I want to tell a story with my album, or my songs, or am I just in front of the microphone recording for the sake of it?"

 

Unless she doesn't openly answer these questions, we won't get a quality album anymore, and they'll keep doing rushed projects and nonsensical albums like the recent ones.

 

Does she still have a passion for recording new songs? If she doesn't, maybe it's better not to have new albums anymore, rather than having a new album with her name on that is far from the quality albums she used to deliver 20 years ago.

 

Because if she's taking 6 damn years to record new albums in English now, they must know we are all expecting something *better* than the last album (LMBTL), and hopefully something close to what she once used to do with such ease with albums like FIY, LTAL or ANDHC.

 

We're not waiting 6 years again to get any sort of crap.

Oh trust me, I've came "to these terms" a long time already and believe it or not, I actually agree with most of your 'complaints'... but unlike you, I find it completely unnecessary and pointless to repeat it over and over and over and over and over again. It won't help one bit and it will only frustrate yourself (and others) even more.

 

The magic word is acceptance. It's her career, it's her life, she's not obligated to do anything and again, while there's so much more left in her to give, she doesn't have to prove herself anymore, especially these days having achieved "legend" status. And if you can't accept it, either do something serious about it or be a fan of a different artist that matches your wishes (or demands). It's as simple as that.

Then again even during AND, she managed to release 2 english albums (3 if you count One Heart (most were ANDHC rejects but some were newely recorded) which was recorded during the process of creating AND) and 2 french albums and promote them (except Miracle)
