Can you imagine if she’d have duetted with Ed Sheeran on ‘ Perfect’ before Christmas instead of Beyoncé! It came out of nowhere, that collaboration, on his song which already a success and no-one would have expected the duet. It would have been epic.

But I agree, the only time she'll have a hit again if she does a duet with someone who's very hot atm (or has a big online following/can get a lot of streams/downloads).

I think the father of all duets would be one with Drake. And the mother of all duets with Beyonce or Adele.

Last month, an english album was still expected after the release of "Encore Un Soir"... but now there's no mention at all.

I hope it's an indicator of an imminent update, and not a signal that it's postponed indefinitely.

Something tells me that she doesn’t want to say anything in case they change anything along the way. We had about a million announcements (not a million, but you get me.) that they were changing this and that and postponed and all the rest. I think they’re wanting to take their time and she wants to do what she wants , not what anybody thinks she does, she’s doing what she wants. I for one am grateful that she’s taking the time she needs and not being rushed with a looming deadline and the quality suffers if that’s the case, sometimes.

Thats what Celine needs. She's accomplished so much on her career and has so much to be proud of, but if anyone asks whats missing from her career/ songs, its defiantly a CELINE DION ANTHEM song, many artists have it and many don't. Yeah Celine has MHWGO which is her signature song but now its time for her ANTHEM song, and that usually happens when a song is released that is a bit controversial, it speaks to the Times that we are living in.

 

Michel Jackson, Freddie Mercury among many other of her influences and idols have a anthem song!!

 

Even Katie Perrys, "Firework" & Keshas "Praying " are anthems.

 

I feel like Celine and her team wanted "This Time " to be her ANTHEM song but first of all it wasnt a strong enough song and second it wasnt pushed enough, it seems like at first they had every intention about pushing that song and making it anthem about abuse in a relationship, and yet they changed their mind and flew under the radar, all it would've took was a music video that matched the theme and lots of promotion and maybe even doing some benefit concerts in support of the cause and the public would have reacted believe me.

I have felt somewhat the same way about "This Time" since its creation. The only difference in how I feel is that I do feel it WAS and still IS a "strong enough" song dealing with domestic violence. It really should have been part of the "Taking Chances World Tour." For someone best known for only touting love ballads, touching on such a subject as domestic violence would have shown real risk taking by Celine. However, as is usually par the course, she and her team got cold feet. I honestly feel including "This Time" and "Love Is All We Need" (in full) in a show and/or tour would be amazing. Not as a medley, but in full to create a really strong message to people the world over.

I think we can let go of an album release prior to the tour. It would make no sense to have all new album art, a whole new set of images from a photo shoot designed for the album concept... and then have her 5 year old tour pics showing up also. Marketing wise it’s a very mixed message - at best i think there’ll be a single released beforehand and maybe that’ll be played on tour to generate buzz and YouTube clicks.

 

Plus we’ve waited this long, I’d rather the execution be perfect and not just coz we love her and are collectively very impatient lol

They could have at least use a "new" picture from that shoot, or a not released before from that shoot.

The lack of creativity for these type of things dearlord.

It pees me off every time she says that... just because she is at the top doesn’t mean she can’t make people love her more.....

 

She acts like the English queen.... always there as the queen but does nothing to make people realise how amazing she is
