Koolan Posted July 28, 2013 at 06:49 PM Posted July 28, 2013 at 06:49 PM Surprised no one mentioned her earpiece came off during the start of the song. I updated the first post with the set list, LMBTL and recorded stream link. Is there a longer video with the ending? 1 Quote Please support the forum by ordering through our Amazon.com referral link below. Click here to go to the Amazon homepage.

Javito Posted July 28, 2013 at 07:04 PM Posted July 28, 2013 at 07:04 PM (edited) You want to know why people were talking? Because most of the songs she performs today they have heard her sing them like a gazillion times . Look at the segment of Je danse dans ma tête/Des mots qui sonnent/Incognito and they were paying attention. I'm sure they were like hey, these are songs she used to sing many years ago, I want to listen them again!. Just look when she performed the new english single, people were screaming in joy for what they were seeing. Because its something totally NEW. Then they pay attention. However, when songs like Dans un autre monde, J'irai ou tu iras, Destin arrive, it's like "again those? She's been performing these non-stop in all her concerts since the album release!" Besides, the shadow of Les Plaines concert of 2008 was pretty recent in the air, and people remember what she sang that time. The audience realizes the difference when she includes a new song that wasn't performed in 2008 and when they are seeing again the same songs over and over again. Audience looks for "what's new" all the time, and certainly the old songs from Plamondon and Je crois toi were like the cherry on the top of the cake in this event. Just kidding (and not...). But honestly I believe people pays much more attention when she sings unusual songs than when they see her perform again Destin for the umpteenth time. Popular Post PC_59 Posted July 28, 2013 at 08:41 PM Popular Post Posted July 28, 2013 at 08:41 PM Hi! Was at the show yesterday. Amazing! Leaved Montreal at 13 :00. I arrived with my friends at 17 :00 (went to have dinner before), was ok, not much people. Lines for the hot dogs were long! Was in Section C, the view was not good at all, watch the whole concert on the big screens. Next time on the plaines : completely at the back on the hill. Cheaper and nicer! Was my first show on the Plaines! Really nice park, the Central Park of Quebec City. First part of Jean-Marc Couture and Star Académie was a little boring. Didn’t like it. The guy was clearly too much nervous. The girl from La Voix was nice but her stage presence (ok… the stage is like the biggest in North America) was not good. Went from 20 :00 to 20 :35. Celine starts at 21 :25 with Ce n’était qu’un rêve accapella. Good voice! Dans un autre monde was good, but the song is becoming the LCMM of french songs… She looked and sounded great. At times, the sound was too low (her mic sound or speakers?) but overwall it was good! Stage is huuuuuuuge! Selection of songs were good, the songs who had the best reception were Je n’ai pas besoin d’amour, the power of love, all by myself, s’il suffisait d’aimer. Her medley of Je danse dans ma tête-Mots qui sonnent-Incognito was pretty amazing too. Her new english song is amazing, she killed it. 2 hours of non stoping Celine singing. Stage lighting and effects were good too! I saw the Taking Chances tour in Montreal and Celine… une seule fois is 10x better : voice is better, songs and no dead time. Sometimes, it felt a little rushed cause she talked like only 2-3 times about 1-2 minutes each. She was freezing on the stage, we could clearly see it. My favorites : Terre (she clearly loves to perform that song), Je n’ai pas besoin d’amour (best song of Sans Attendre) , All by myself (crowd singing all the time), Loved me back to life (a major hit). Overall : 10/10. Will go see her again! And my friends too! A really good concert. P.S. Sorry for my bad english, I only speak french (english a little in high school). See ya! 8 Quote Je te jetterai des sorts Pour que tu m'aimes encore

Nice review glade you had a great time! And your English is great ! ^ jav I sometimes wonder if its the bands fault why she only sings the same uptempo songs, because the band ruin many great upbeat songs so she sticks with what they can do I suppose! I'm sure LMBTL had a backing track along with instruments and celine sang over the top! No way did her band create those effects! Wish they did his for shadow of love! Kev x 1 Quote

Kev x You've got a point there Kev! Maybe it's not their strong point, but you answered with the key for that: use backing tracks! That's what they should have done when performing TTWII for example, a song they never got to do properly live because they cannot emulate the album version. But that's what backing tracks are for! woodstock Posted July 28, 2013 at 09:26 PM Posted July 28, 2013 at 09:26 PM Yes, you can clearly hear a backing track for the new song but that´s ok, it makes it sound better (and that is why everybody use those kind of tracks for most of their songs on stage). Quote

Maybe they will have to now if her new album has this new sound or its gonna sound terrible! Why can't Celine hear what everyone else hears . .why does she need the earpiece to let her know how it sounds? Do all the musicians play with earpieces? Quote
