I have a question: did the diamond certification for "D'Eux" equal 1 million copies sold as well? Or was it 2 million in the 90s?

 

That's because in the 80s in the USA a platinum certification was equal to 2 million, but then as things changed, it was lowered to 1 million. I wonder if the same thing has happened with diamond in France or if it's still the same. Thanks.

Well, some singles are listed twice or more because, for example, PAMP can be bought as a single, but some people browse the album and buy it as an album track, while others can buy it from the Deluxe version of the album. I noticed that "I'm Alive" is listed, but some people are not buying it from the ANDHC album, nor the single, but they get it from the "My Love: Essential Collection" CD. Hence the duplicates.

Yeah, that's annoying because the songs would place a lot higher. Thank God they merge them for the official country chart, or it would be an utter mess.

As I read in UKMix, Sans Attendre has moved up to number 2 in France with sales of 77,875 for this week. Way to go!!

 

So now total sales stand at a little over 380,000, which is fantastic!

There's no doubt already that this is Céline's third most successful french album in her entire career. She now needs to focus on individual songs. Like "Une Chance Qu'On S'A"... It's on the way of becoming a Céline-signature song like SISDA did on her tours. She could immortalize Jean-Pierre on a screen recording and sing it forever.

100% agreed, to me this song has HUGE potential.

I hope that Celine's team will take advantage of the commercial success of "Sans Attendre" and decide to release some more singles from the album (together with the videoclips).

I'd love it if "Sans Attendre" turned out to be a steady seller after the Christmas season as well and continued to be popular well into 2013, sitting comfortably somewhere in the top 10 of both French and Canadian album charts.

I am on cloud number 9 (or is it 7, whatever hehe), with this album's success. She is the best and the best deserves to have the numbers success too, and i'm sooo glad she is!

I remember that it wasn't available as single purchase at the time the album was released, but never checked back if it was made available now more than 5 weeks into the album chart run. Agree. If after all this album success with sales, something remarked in the news of the official site (which is rare they pay attention to albums sales at this stage), it would be tremendously stupid if Sony stopped the promotion and did not release more singles and videos!
