I didn't think this album would do that well. I didn't like it that much the first time but it's definitely growing on me. Hope the English album could share the same success.

 

 

Those are 2 of my favorites!

 

Me neither!! First listen it was OK. I had some issues with some of the songs.. I skipped them. And now I loved them all! It usually happens the other way, first like them, then after a while I skip them! This album is addictive, very very good, connects with your deepest emotions. I think all the promo had to do with it, talking about each song, giving them LIFE! She should do this every time!

When René said this was going to be the new "D'eux" we now see he wasn't that wrong.

 

NOW Sony needs to act quickly, this album has the potential to become a massive success. But they need to release a new single right away with heavy promotion, great video and appear everywhere. Perform it at least 10 times on tv and on her Vegas show, release the album in the US, and do 4 isolated concerts, 2 in Paris, and 2 in Quebec. Big Arenas promoting the new album and the old french hits. A la "Au Coeur Du Stade".

 

Then we would be talking about the new D'EUX. Céline's huge comeback!

I would love it if they would release it in the U.S. What are they waiting for? I would die if she would actually do some of SA in Vegas I think the only one she would do is PAMP. She should do much more...I think she would be surprised of the response???

This album reminds me very much of D'Eux less because of the commercial success than because it is such a personal, intimate album -- one where the songs and the album as a whole express a sense of Celine as a person. And the songs are really, really good - both in terms of melody and of lyrics.

 

Yes, the promotion has been good, but I think people are buying it mostly because it's a really good album. I don't understand why they haven't released it in the US - I had to get it thru Celine's website.

The numbers worldwide are fantastic! I saw that Diamond certification in France coming maybe next week. Smart move Sony France. So I think so far with the 500k in France, 240k in Canada, and the success it had in other francophone countries, the album must have been shipped at a minimum of 850k worldwide. That is just amazing! All that with a French album!!
