"One Heart" album - Official Topic

I just love this album. It took a while to grow on me, the first years I saw it as a bad copie of ANDHC, but then realized that it was like the follow up to that album

Luckily we didn't get the "Chrysler" album in the UK, no sign of any Chrysler advertisements on our edition of "One Heart." What I got when I bought this album was a solid pop album which I thought sounded very current at the time. This was the album including uptempo songs a lot of people had waited a long time for. Sadly, as is so often the case however, someone somewhere decided on all the wrong single choices after "I Drove All Night."

This month, is the 10 Years anniversary of ONE HEART: I love this album and I agree, that is the most modern and popish one. It's a shame, that it was't promoted right.

I adore the I DROVE ALL NIGHT video and REVEAL and FAITH should have been singles.

So because of this topic I decided to dig out One Heart and listen to it. Had been a while since I listened to it. It's been playing since Sunday...

You should fall in love musically with Faith and Reveal, and lyrically with songs like In His Touch and I Know What Love Is (one of her most underrated ballads in the last decade IMO)

I've always loved Faith. I wish it had gotten a physical single to be able to get the remix that was released to radio. I remember being excited when I first heard it on the radio. I agree with you Javito in regards to I Know What Love Is. I simply adore that song. I also enjoy the song Naked quite a bit as well.

However I'd have to say my guilty pleasure for the album is Love Is All We Need.

Faith is an amazing song! I remember when i first got one heart, faith became one of my favorites right away. Others like it too, cus sometimes when im driving with my BF, he will ask "is faith on this CD". Thats got to be good right?

 

It is one of my Favorite celine songs it defiantly should have been released as a single!

My absolute Top 10 Celines songs have I drove all night and Naked. Other great songs are LIAWN, Faith, SBYS, HYEBIL, Reveal, FMT, IKWLI and JTE. This is a dance-pop album, something that Celine would need if she wants to be in top again today.

If she wants to top the international charts again (which I doubt), she should give a try and work with artists like David Guetta, Wyclef Jean..... OR EVEN PITBULL (yes, Pitbull) haha why not?! I remember getting this album in Carrefour Market Supermarket in Sarlat-La-Caneda. It was 2010 i so wanted to get the One Heart but i started to realize that the only way to get the album is to order but then i was in the Carrefour Market Supermarket i was just browsing and buying a few things and i noticed that they were getting rid off their Christmas offers on CD albums and i noticed they had only one Celine Album in the selection and i was so excited and amazed cause it was Celine's One Heart album and it cost about 2,99 euros or something and i bought the album. And now the album is sitting with my other Celine Collection..

I don't get it is just well first of all the english version of Je t'aime encore (English Version) was released onto One Heart but when Je T'aime Encore (French Version) and (Instrumental Version) Single from 1 Filles and 4 types album was released theres no sign of the english version in that single it would have made more sense to add the english version with that single too. The audio is the same and the title is the same its just the language is different thats all.

You see, that's what being "hungry" for new Celine material can do That same happened to me while we were waiting for Taking Chances. It helped me to rediscover this album, which I kind of neglected when it was released. Now I just love it.

 

I think this has happened with Sans Attendre and all the million sales it has sold. I don't mean the album is not worth those sales, but I don't think its her best french album since D'eux like some say, not at all. 1F&4T had great songs too, but the "hunger" for new Céline music in the public made everyone to go crazy with Sans Attendre. It's a good album, no question about it

10 year anniversary today!! Seems like yesterday!

 

I really love this album, but it took its time to catch me. It wasn't inmediately, not even the first 2-3 years of it, I wasn't very enthusiast with it because of its lack of coherence and that it seemed to be a rushed album full of leftovers from ANDHC (something that I still believe). I guess I love each song more in its own way, independently one from the other than thinking they belong to an "album" called One Heart.

 

As a group of songs, they all look more as if it was a disc of bonus tracks from ANDHC than actually a new album, with that Sorry For Love "2003 version" (I can't still look at it without ), Coulda Woulda Shoulda, and the encore of Have You Ever Been In Love. Besides, I never understood why they included CWS and not also All Because Of You, and having 3 songs less than ANDHC was strange too. I wish it was a longuer record

 

But all in all, this album was definetly a grower with time. It includes real gems in it, both ballads and uptempo tracks

I'm listening to the album because of this 10th anniversary (L). Right now I'm on 'Sorry For Love (2003 version)' and what can I say... Not a single song I dislike!!
