*Daniel Posted February 12, 2012 at 11:31 PM Posted February 12, 2012 at 11:31 PM omg what a tragic end!! You know, when they said she was found in the tub I knew the cause would be something like this, but never suicide attempt... but drowned!?! Is it really true that she drowned? Maybe it just me, but I'm having trouble getting my head around this. While I'm not a big fan of Whitney, I still respect her works. PriscillaBarragan Posted February 12, 2012 at 11:38 PM Posted February 12, 2012 at 11:38 PM Whitney's daughter has now been rushed to the hospital! http://www.eonline.com/news/whitney_housto...daughter/293657 I don't even know what to say except just please don't fall into something that's not healthy. As for some other comments in here, too much of ANYTHING is bad for you. Not just substances and alcohol. Too much of anything can kill you. Celine was probably crying her eyes out when she found out. It is true that she was found in her bath tub and drowned but they're still looking into what actually caused it. Quote
ferjaacu Posted February 13, 2012 at 01:44 AM Posted February 13, 2012 at 01:44 AM Such a terrible ending... idroveallnight Posted February 13, 2012 at 01:55 AM Posted February 13, 2012 at 01:55 AM Really puts into perspective what an amazing artist we all come to adore and admire on this forum...a woman who has never been involved in any type of scandal, is so gracious and humble to every person she meets, and has NEVER tried to make a reputation of herself no matter how famous she is... and yet she still has this larger-than-life talent. When I heard Whitney died, all I could remember was when Celine received the highest honor from the World Music Awards, she stopped in the middle of her own press conference to literally put the volume up on a television set herself so she could watch Whitney perform. Might make all the haters here and elsewhere think twice before criticizing or comparing or pitting the divas against one another over who has the better voice or yada yada yada. Just like Celine once said, "There is a place for all of us." Sad for Whitney fans, but it should make us appreciate Celine all the more. We complain and pick apart all she does when we should really just be thankful she's never been a victim of Hollywood life. Quote

Bobby Brown pulled Whitney from that foundation and she's never been the same. she's an adult and makes her own decisions but for some reason she chose Bobby until she filed for divorce and had had enough. I think he was not good for her no matter what. im a huge Whitney fan & have followed her carrer as we do Celine here. I've always felt a remorse for her voice, that pure, true God given talent. imaswede78 Posted February 13, 2012 at 04:52 AM Posted February 13, 2012 at 04:52 AM As much as members of the forum complain about him , we need to give Rene a lot of credit here. Celine knows how to cope with stresses without alcohol and drugs. I'm just so sorry Whitney didn't have a "Rene" in her life. Quote

Angel2006 Posted February 13, 2012 at 05:44 AM Posted February 13, 2012 at 05:44 AM I thought Jennifer Hudson's performance was very moving. I could tell that she was emotional throughout the song and that she truly admired Whitney. The show was a mix of emotions, both sad and happy. I thought the Grammy's did a wonderful job paying tribute to Whitney. It was a moment in History that people will always remember. R.I.P. Whitney. Even thou she has sang this song before, it must have been really hard for her to sing it yesterday. Also, LL Cool J's prayer moved me to tears, along with Alicia Keys words. You could see she really had a hard time singing the song because you could see the tears in her eyes. But were there not more singers that did give a videomessage? Was the prayer and Jennifer's rendition of I will always love you the only thing shown for Whitney? But when I come on celine's site, no word about it. I know that has nothing to do with Celine at all, but with the people that handle her website. I wish they did something like a final word from Celine about Whitney or just a statement on the site. bfhb Posted February 13, 2012 at 11:51 AM Posted February 13, 2012 at 11:51 AM Jennifer did a good job, a nice tribute for now. I really feel for Whitneys daughter and family and very much so for her fans Whitney was one of the best singers ever and when you have lived with that voice through your life singing songs you can relate to and identify with, you walk thru your life and you carry them with you so it is a personal loss to each fan, i like that Mariah mentioned the fans in her tribute it shows great respect to acknowledge them.
