Changes to the show?

It would be stupid and cheap though to keep changing the show because certain singers she's worked with or was inspired by dies!!

Indeed! I don't to see this show becoming a ''tribute-concert-to-the-dead-singers-Celine-was-inspired-by-or-worked-with''

 

That would be a nightmare.

 

They need to get rid of the MJ Medley and that '''Lullaby'' song and add to the show songs from her own repertoire.

I'd love for Celine to sing more from her past hits and albums

I love all the song she sings in her show but..... I would be even more thrilled if she sand something like "Greatest reward" , "A World to believe in"

"Lets talk about Love" or "Thats Just The Woman In Me" " Also "Think Twice" would be pretty awesome it's amazing.... She has sooooo many great songs... enough for 100 different runs of the show lol. Both performances aren't on YouTube; but you can send me a PM if you are interested on them and I can upload them to Mediafire so you can download them. The performance with orchestra that I'm talking about took place during the private concert Céline gave for the Sainte-Justine hospital in summer of 2007. She also sang S'il Suffisait D'aimer, Sous Le Vent, Tout Près Du Bonheur, Si Dieu Existe and Quand On N'a Que L'amour that night.

No fecking way should she get rid of the duet with herself... I am dying to see it in person and it's a beautiful song to... It's the main thing that would make me want to save and fly to Vegas to see!!

 

I think they should scrap the prayer and bring back the stevie duet.

The stevie duet is the single worst moment in the whole show, and the prayer is the single best. God forbid those two change.

 

I'm so against the Stevie duet because if she HAS to sing one duet per show like she typically does, at least let it be one of her own songs. She has sang with some of the greatest voices, and we'd love to hear Tell Him, When I Fall In Love, I Hate You Then I Love You, The Prayer, Beauty And The Beast, Immortality, I'm Your Angel, etc...

 

And as of now The Prayer is the only song in the show that is 1) a non-cover, 2) performed in the full arrangement, 3) performed 100% live ....The Prayer is the only song that matches all three criteria and IMO that's pathetic. I'd like to see less songs, and bigger arrangements. Less covers, more of her own. If she wants to discover a new song or share it with us (that isn't hers, or just something she doesn't always sing) why not just perform an obscure song like "Next Plane Out" or "Show Some Emotion" ....it's not like she probably even remembers recording those songs, so it's not something she'd get bored with to quickly like she has with the remaining songs of her catalogue she actually still sings.

Let's wait and see what they do on June 9, it's very interesting and this thing has kept me excited since her last show back in January. But they said that The Prayer would be at the show just for the Holliday session. I hope they change it (even though I like it very much) but not for the duet with Stevie pleasssse!!!

I like Overjoyed, it's a great duet (and I hope we get video footage of this someday) but she could do it at some special event, not every night in her own show!!

I saw "Overjoyed" at two of Celine's shows, and "The Prayer" at the New Year's Eve show. I do like Stevie Wonder, but I truly hope that Celine doesn't bring that duet back. I prefer her own songs so much more!!! I would love for her to do a duet with Barbra Streisand in that time slot. Of course, I love "The Prayer", but we've heard it so many times. I'd like something new when I go see her next month. I won't complain tho' if she keeps "The Prayer" in the show.

We all know a cover in the middle of 10000 ones wouldn't make a difference, but one more cover in a setlist comprised of only 22 songs would make a difference and not a positive one. Like I said, a positive difference would be : drop a cover song such as ''Lullabye'' and add a song from Celine's own repertoire such as ''Immortality''.

 

They already did a good thing by replacing "Overjoyed" by ''The Prayer''. They need to do something like this again.

I like "Vole" (Fly) I think it would fit in beautifully or "Greatest Reward". I also love "Lets talk about Love" "One Heart" is a good song too, really upbeat, but perhaps not for the Orchestra its still great song to have a boogie too near the end "A World to believe in" OR she could put back in "Et Jetaime Encore" which was in a New A Day back in 2003 I thought that was one of her best! If a Donna Summer number is put in its got be "I feel Love" or she could get Babs to sing a duet "Enough is Enough"

"Think Twice" would be AWESOME! "Immortality" is a definite MUST come Celine sing them pleaseeee!

She should've done a different Stevie song to begin with....something up-tempo like 'Signed, Sealed Delivered' or 'Superstition' or something. Not another ballad..

and althought i do like some of u guys' set list but i have to say some songs will not work in a show like this at all......

Refuse to dance for opening??? i can't see it work at all maybe in the middle of the list but not opener...

and for MJ one maybe just do man in the mirror and then pay tribute to other artists recenlty passed away that would be nice

for eg Man in the mirror -> Immortality -> I will always love you or one of Whitney's hit

 

and maybe after MHWGO Celine should do some songs with choir or so
