Technical difficulties at last night show with audio and lift. Celine was stuck on a lift for 5-7 minutes during "Overjoyed". She experienced further audio complications in other parts of the show. She sang a little bit of "Rescue Me" and "Everybody Dance Now" and cracked jokes. "I'm not overjoyed, I'm overwhelmed"

was at show last night! it was amazing!! Loved the technical difficulties even though im sure Celine didnt. She handled it very well though!!the audience loved her messing around and were all laughing and cheering. It was during Stevie Wonder duet , the hologram went all funny, so basically she couldnt continue the song...But the problem was she was stuck then on the stage and could not get down!! She said "im not just staying here for the fun of it, im actually stuck here, im not showng off my dress really and sang a little bit of rescue me!! Audience loved it!! She was asking the guys back stage to get her a ladder cause STEVIE WAS STARTING TO GET TIRED!!she also talked a little bit about her twins favourite show - banana something. She was great!! I felt sorry for her having to hold the show with this difficuty, but she was fantastic and funny about it.... It seemed to last forever and i thought she never would get down but finally the ladder appeared. There was a sigh of relief a few times after that by celine during the show...

 

ps- guys, the show is NOT playback, no way!!! i saw the show 3 times this week. it was different every night, notes were different , she talked during songs, made different sounds.its totally live. I think whatever "fans" are constantly saying she does lip are actually NOT fans and want to stir up things and turn people off. Im thankful anyway i have realised for myself that she totally sings this show live....Anyone who is still unsure, just go to the shows and you will realise for yourself. I cant believe i was ever silly enough to believe anyone on here that said she did...She so doesnt!! I just wanted to clear that up as someone said earlier they hoped the technical problem wasnt due to playback....It certainly wasnt....

I read about this on twitter last night, and thought it was pretty funny. I can't remember what the stage setup is for this song, so can't remember how high this platform is, but did she actually climb down a ladder with the white dress? I really hope somebody filmed it. You gotta love Celine. She is a pro when it comes to handling these little mishaps on stage.

ya the stage is high up in the middle at that part , i guess to focus the hologram. So the ladder is more like a stairs but Celine was using the word ladder, and for some reason they couldnt get it to her sooner, maybe they were trying to fix everything else before they did this. The guys may have been talking to her backstage or through her ear piece telling her it would be a few more seconds and she was telling the audience "ok they are telling me its gunna be a few more seconds, but my seconds are different to your seconds guys"!! I guess she must have felt like forever for her!! The audience found her hlarious!! I kept wishing someone like her brother would come on stage and help her but it got sorted, It lasted about 5 or7 minutes id say....When she finally got down, it was time for her song with Andre C on gitarre where she sits on the stage with him, and for a moment their was more technical difficulties, we couldnt hear his gitarre for a minute due to more problems, so Celine turned her micorphone upside down as if to sing into it like that!!! She was taking the piss as everything was failing and going bonkers now!!!, and then she just fell backwards onto the stage dramatically and lay thier for a few seconds , everyone was laughing!! The sound came back and all was well....

 

Then Barnev and her duet was next and this was fine, but when he says the line "just a little scared" Celine was nodding at him as if to say "ya i was totally scared just now!. Hope I explained all that well. I hope someone will have a video or an audio.

No it wasn't Annie who mentioned the possible new songs. I dunno who mentioned ASFY being added?!?

But another contact told me they were hoping to add Alone this year, a few months back.

Happy to hear about ''Alone'', not so much about ''A Song for You''. I also doubt that they will replace ''Lullaby and ''At Seventeen'' with ''A Song for You'', since they will be on the album. My money is on ''The Reason'', as well as the Bond medley (which I will be over the moon about as it is just soooo random). Replacing ''Beauty and the Beast'' would be a very stupid move in my opinion. It is one of the very few songs of her own that she sings, it fits very well in the show, and it played a very big role in Celine's career.

 

I really don't get why some of you guys are so gagga about ''The Reason''.

 

 

+1. I find "The Reason" to be the most awkward part of the entire show. I'd be perfectly content with that song leaving for good. I hope they never remove "Mr. Paganini" its always an amazing vocal for Celine.

I think the main problem with The Reason is it's position in the show. That whole segment with Paganini, Lullaby and The Reason doesn't work in my opinion, as the songs are all totally different genres. I think it would be much better if The Reason was moved forward into the first segment with all the other big songs, either before or after the IACBTMN/TPOL medley.

Celine wants her Oscar!!!She is practicing!!!

She would be great at acting though seriously. I guess she does it to give the audience an "experience". I dunno. However, My "experience" is well and truly over by now after having seen it 6 times!

 

Shes pretty incredible though to concentrate on singing the song so amazingly plus do her dramatic stand still performance and cry at the end. I guess most people who see the show Only see it one night (not like us!!) , so its really a special experience for them!

 

(I always find it funny though how she snuffles for ages after the song and takes deep breaths as if to get over the painful emotion she has just been through!!! And she must be there seeing those fans that are watching the performance for the 20th/100th time in the front rows, and thinking "hmmm, they are not telling up on me, there standing for me again!! Its funny!!)

No way, Ne Me Quitte Pas needs to stay! That was the best song of the night for me, both nights. Just listening to the bootleg sends chills down my spine.

 

I don't think the crying is necessarily fake. There are songs I've listened to hundreds of times but still make me want to cry.

I absolutely love Ne Me Quitte Pas however I think it's performance would be better suited in a more of a French show, like Live a Paris. It seems a bit out of place in the current show IMO.

I think you're probably right about that. However, the NON-FANS (the majority of people who buy tickets to her shows) would be bored out of their minds.

I agree. The Falling Into You tour always had 2 French songs in the English setlist - PQTME & JIOTI - one ballad and one up-tempo. They could easily do the same in this show! Anything that isn't a cover!!!
