garçon Posted January 18, 2013 at 07:55 PM Posted January 18, 2013 at 07:55 PM The craziest thing happened one night when during BYLM she said: I want you to sing this last phrase with me okay? - Usually people scream and clap, but this time: NOTHING, not even a sound! Celine looked slightly confused, said "alright" and tried it anyway, and people actually sang with her and afterwards she took a breath of relief and turned to the orchestra wispering "O my god!" This has never happened before in all the shows I've seen! The audience wasn't that bad that night, just kind of slow, they kept klapping into the songs because they recognized them so late. But it's moments like this one where you can clearly see how much a good show depends on the audience! Although, sometimes she asks for it too obviously imo. Like in the last bootleg. Her 'tone' there is much different than, for example, in Live in Memphis concert, or other bootlegs from FIY tour.. Quote

browseceline Posted January 19, 2013 at 11:29 AM Posted January 19, 2013 at 11:29 AM That said, I think the audience moment with - I want you to sing this last phrase with me- is a result of the script. She does this in each and every show, the same words, the same text. It is getting boring and repeating too.It is also a matter of how enthusiastic Celine still is after saying these same scripted sentences each and every time over and over and over again. I think it is a matter of getting used to drilling these same words every time. Maybe you can hear it in the way she says it too. This is what you get when you repeat the same songs, the same text, year after year. It is becoming a routine.I wonder when Celine comes home, how she feels. I would not like to hear those songs ever again after having sung the th time. The only thing that maybe is a light in the dark, is how the audience behaves. But for Celine as a artist, there is nothing challenging anymore, except that she can try singing the songs a bit different. btw 6 times to her show??? are you a millionaire or something??? I can't even afford to go to Vegas..To me this show with its repeating setlist , that I have heard on numerous bootlegs, is not worth travelling for.I rather wait until she comes to Amsterdam and presents a fresh new setlist ( I hope!) celine4evauk Posted January 19, 2013 at 12:26 PM Posted January 19, 2013 at 12:26 PM Personally i wish she'd mix it up a bit. Every show is different, as we all know. If she notices people are singing BYLM point the mic at them whenever, and get them to sing some of it. Not just BYLM - but any song (obviously when she's live). I love it when singers do that - Celine never does. That's the bit on TC tour during PQTME i adore. Hearing the crowd singing it. Think she'd get more of a response from "boring" audiences if she adlibbed more. 1 Quote

It's always special when she interacts with the audience. It may have just become to automatic. 1 Quote I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.
celinedionfan1 Posted January 19, 2013 at 10:19 PM Posted January 19, 2013 at 10:19 PM Omg, the show on wednesday was hilarious. She was talking about how the twins are all over the place and that Rene is running after them and is being such a great dad. Then she said that she had to show us a picture of Rene because he had been working out so much. I have never laughed that much before. She turned around and on the big screen came a photoshoped picture of Rene with his head on a really fit body with a six-pack! :sofunny: :sofunny: I have the bootlegg, will post when I get back from Vegas on Sunday! 7 Quote Celine live | December 30th & 31st, 2011 | January 3rd & 4th, 2012 | January 12th, 13th, 15th, 16th & 18th, 2013 | November 29th & 30th, 2013 | December 1st, 2013 | August 27th, 30th & 31st, 2015 | June 20th, 21st, 24th, 25th & 28th, 2016 | January 24th, 25th, 27th & 28th, 2017 | June 17th, July 8th, 23rd & 24th, 2017 |

kerche Posted January 21, 2013 at 10:55 AM Posted January 21, 2013 at 10:55 AM (edited) The new little speech for the show on Wed Jan 16th was for Rene's birthday!I was there that night and actually sat a few seats away from him... in a "boxed seat" area.He slipped quietly in to his seat just as the opening video started. And I glanced at him several times during the show to see his reactions. He's rather stoic actually - sometimes clapping, sometimes laughing, but he mainly has a poker-face. It was definitely hilarious to see Rene's face photoshopped on to the People magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" cover page! Hahaha. The crowd was really, really awesome on Tues Jan 15, Wed Jan 16 and Fri Jan 18 shows. On Tuesday.. I sat beside this older man in FOrch 2 / Row 2 right beside the stage, and I told him to join me in dancing before the show started. His dancing move was to "punch the air" with his arms like a boxer! Everyone on stage loved it and Celine gave him a high-5 during RDMH! Then he was there again at the next show on Jan 16, in a different location but still near the very front, and this time Celine also started to punch the air herself during RITD!! Another older man behind him decided to stand up and started doing some really funny dance moves....that the whole crowd was laughing and having so much fun! I saw Rene laugh too. Friday's show was also great because after LCMM....the entire front orchestra continued to stay standing and even danced with Celine during RDMH...which is VERY RARE. Yes!! I was there Friday night and that moment was amazing -- and it was not just the front orchestra, but rear orchestra also -- I was in the very last row in rear orchestra, and the ENTIRE orchestra section got up the INSTANT she asked us to dance with her, and stayed standing and dancing right through the RDMH and then the cheering to bring her back for MHWGO! 1 Quote

Popular Post DionFanAlways Posted March 1, 2013 at 04:54 AM Popular Post Posted March 1, 2013 at 04:54 AM Review of Feb. 26th and 27th. (I wasn't sure where to post this)I was sitting in FORCH 3 DD on Tues and FORCH 4 EE on Wed. ( went for the 250.00 tickets SOOOO worth it !! :whee: ) She walks down between 3 and 4 during HDYKTMP and actually stays for a while. YES I touched her hand for 2 secs!!! (lol I counted) She also stays at the front row and touches peoples hands! If you reach for her. Let me start by saying again Utube doesn't do the show any justice! On Tuesday she was greeted with a standing ovation and she was truely gratefull however on Wed. no standing O when she appeared. Her speech started off with her saying she had the flu and was sorry for missing the shows. However after that she does not deviate! I will say though that on Wed the audience laughed louder at her speech then on Tues. so I guess I see why she doesn't change it. It just must be a drag to say it over and over and for the band to hear it over and over! There were no changes to the shows material or costume. She does tend to gravitate to the part of the audience that vies for her attention! So sing and dance with her and she will be there more. She is very expressive and engaging to all though! I got a picture with Mego and with Marc! The band members have to walk out of the Colessium before hand, I guess to change, so if you can catch them they are more than happy to take a picture w/ you. I just missed Andre! Mr. Paganini was out of this world! The runs she does are fantastic! (I guess you would call it scatting) It really was the musical highlight of both evenings for me! You can tell she enjoys performing this number Yes I will have to admit I even enjoyed MHWGO. Wed. nights adience got really excited when they heard the opening. The water feature is cool and puts off a nice breeze. To be honest all the numbers were wonderful. Well Overjoyed is one I could do without. It doesn't really get that much reaction either. She could easily replace it with another duet here! The only little disappointment I had was with LCMM and RDMH, these numbers are way toooo rushed! It's a shame beause it gets the audience up! To all the Adele fans ( I love her too) RITD has been Dionized! She does a great job and you can tell she enjoys it. It's a good number because it has a good tempo and people are clapping along. She looked absolutely fantastic. Nothing like China where she looked tired. She must have removed some extentions because her hair looked wonderful. She definitely knows how to work the dresses! Because she uses the slits to their full advantage! She looked beautiful with a little weight on her. It's nice to see a little "jiggle"!!!AAAA++++ show. I know there was another member of the forum that went so it'll be interesting to hear his take on the show! 10 Quote I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.

It's an amazing video montage that gives you a sense of Celine's global scale, and gives the people in the audience a chance to cheer when their city comes up (at least that's what was happening when I went). To me, it didn't seem anticlimactic, but instead the perfect way to rev up excitement for Celine before she appears. Quote

When you compare it to the simple and beautiful intro for AND or even the TC tour this one just looks cheap. I would rather the orchestra be playing old show-tunes and have a bigger screen show professional photos of Celine and her family and then the lights dim and have the show start with an extended orchestra intro. 1 Quote
