thanks for sharing! first of all. She was definately live on most of the songs, you could clearly hear that. But this setlist really needs some spicing up.

Have to say though that Mr. Paganini was really one of her best performances I have heard so far. And open arms already sounds a lot different then how it first sounded.

 

How come the speech is still completely the same as the very first start of the show? The having a ball joke, Rene enoying being back in Vegas.. it is all scripted. Would be nice if she was more sponteneous, like during the taking chances tour where she really had more conversation with the audience. From all of this I think it is really good to hear that she really sings most of the songs live. That is a good start for sure.

It is true about her speech, it's a little worn out. Something has to happen in the audience to make her stray from that speech.

She definitely sounds a bit tired in this show...but I think overall she played around with the songs a lot and it sounds good!

 

...the MJ medley is super awkward in this spot and I remember when I was there this summer thinking it was weird... But my theory is that the DOL interlude wasn't enough time for her to change into the LCMM/RDMH outfit and this is giving them more time.

Well, maybe it is but I believe we don't have any bootleg since then so that's why I didn't know it.

 

Well, her speech is awkward but so are IDAN intro and MJ's interlude (although I really like MJ's interlude, it's a thing I didn't expect but it's just out of the blue if she doesn't sing even one song of his). It's easy for them to use those though and I understand it but really she could improvise more with her speeches. It's not much and hmmm we're having a baaaaaaaaall It's enough hehe

 

I love OA from this show, I love when she sings songs in a different way.

 

Alex, that's fine, get some sleep but then we are waiting for the review:D

I can't believe how much better she now sings "open arms" then when the show first started so much more diva like now with all the runs and improvs I love it reminds me of the 90s celine

Well remember that for AND she had the exactly same speech before PQTME... for 5 years and she changed it a bit for TC tour but it was basically the same.

I was listening to the concert and I found my self repeating her speech, Renes gambling part, RCs having a ball. Isn't there some one who can tell her these things!?

her speeches havce always been the same, the TCWT was no different, neither was LTAL and FIY etc... Céline can improvise, but she can't make up a new story each night! I am sure they are timed too, cos everything in a concert and a show everything must be timed to the minute nowadays. It's just that we can get bootlegs easier, that it's noticable. But for 95% of the audience, that speech will be new

If the DOL intro was too short (now she doesn't sing MJ) why don't they add another Celine song b4 DOL?? Like Misled/DOL intro then into LCMM?? Things can be so easy, i find it's the little changes that make a show run better.

First off, I will start by saying I hadn't seen the show since the very second show that they did on 16-03-11.

 

I know there are those saying Celine sounds bored with the songs, but that couldn't have been any further from the truth on the 3 nights I saw her. The audiences were spectacular. There were numerous amounts of people from Quebec. It was wonderful. Yes, the speeches were the same , but I was surprised to hear the new little give and take her and Mego did. On Thursday Celine was very touched by the audience and the applause before she started "Open Arms" was wonderful. Celine plays with the songs more than she did during the premiere and her interpretations are fresh and new. "Mr. Paganini" impresses everyone---she is in top form.

 

"All by Myself" and "Ne me quitte pas" are definitely the fan favorites of the show. She got standing ovations for both.

 

Set list differences? There weren't any. "A Song For You" is long gone. That was a one-shot deal and to my understanding we may not see it again. There are no overdue Christmas songs This was the first time I have personally seen her perform "The Prayer." It was very lovely. On the Friday show the screen was having some issues and would pause randomly during "The Prayer." The Jackson instrumental interlude is still there, but the audience's reaction is to try to figure out what the song is.

 

I can't say it enough, this is my most favorite show Celine has ever done. It is completely her. The material is fantastic and to hear my favorite artist with a 30-piece orchestra is what I have always wanted to hear her do. I love it. Everyone on the stage is good at what they do and the results are nothing short of brilliant. This last show was my lucky #7 Celine concert, and my experiences are some of the best of my life. I cannot wait to go back to Vegas. Not only for the fun that I had this last time, but Celine really brings people together.

That's a nice refreshing review. I'm glad the audience isn't getting bored/tired of the show.

 

I think something that we easily forget is that many of these people aren't like us and seeing/hearing the show for the 236th time.
